Abstract

ABSTRAK Demam tifoid (Typhus abdominalis) adalah salah satu penyakit infeksi pada usus halus disebabkan oleh bakteri Salmonella typhi dan Salmonella paratyphi A, B, C, yang masuk ke dalam tubuh melalui makanan dan minuman yang tercemar. Gejala klinik penyakit ini ditandai dengan timbul demam, sakit kepala, mual, muntah, suhu tubuh naik, diare, hati dan limpa membesar, serta perforasi usus. Salah satu pemeriksaan laboratorium untuk deteksi demam tifoid adalah Widal Slide Test. Metode penelitian berdasarkan hasil Praktek Kerja Lapangan di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Sukoharjo, serta ditunjang dengan studi pustaka yang telah dipublikasikan. Pemeriksaan uji Serologis Widal Slide Test dengan menggunakan sampel serum dengan prinsip reaksi aglutinasi secara imunologis antara antibodi dalam serum dengan suspensi bakteri sebagai antigen yang homolog. Hasil positif jika terjadi aglutinasi dan hasil negatif jika tidak terjadi aglutinasi. Dari hasil pemeriksaan terhadap 20 sampel didapatkan hasil : 15 sampel menunjukkan indikasi kuat terhadap demam tifoid dan 5 sampel menunjukkan suspek terhadap demam tifoid. ABSTRACT Typhoid fever (Typhus abdominalis) is one infectious disease in the small intestine caused by Salmonella typhi and Salmonella paratyphi A, B, C bacteria entering the body through the contaminated food and beverage. The clinical symptoms of disease included fever, headache, nausea, vomit, high body temperature, diarrhea, expanded lever and lymph. In the typhoid fever patient, the small intestine is attacked leading to intestinal bleeding perforation. One of laboratory examinations to detect typhoid fever using Widal Slide Test.This scientific work is arranged based on the apprenticeship activity in Sukoharjo Public Local Hospital, as well as supported by studying the published literature. The result of Widal Slide test using the serum sample on which the immunological agglutination reaction will occur between within-serum antibody and the bacteria suspension as homologous antigen. The result is if there is agglutination and the result is negative if there is no agglutination occurring. From the examination result with 20 samples the following result is obtained: 15 samples show strong indication of typhoid fever and 5 samples show suspected typhoid fever.

Abstract

Anti-microbial bioactive compounds from snail (Achatina fullica Ferussac) contained in snail seromucoid. It contains bioactive compounds such as glycans, peptides, glycopeptides, and chondroitin sulfate which can function as biological response modifiers (BRM) immunostimulators. Immunostimulators are compounds that can increase cellular immune responses in various ways, namely increasing the number and activity of T cells, NK cells, and macrophages and releasing interferons and interleukin. Immunostimulators are compounds that can increase cellular immune responses in various ways, namely increasing the number and activity of T cells, NK cells, macrophages and releasing interferons and interleukins.The purpose of this study was to analyze antimicrobial bioactive seromucoid compound of snail (Achatina fullica Ferrusac) as biological response modifiers (BRM) immunostimulators. The research methods based on experimental laboratory results with research stages including snail seromucoid isolation; antimicrobial activity; characterization physicochemical and profile of snail seromucoid proteins. The results of antimicrobial activity showed that 100% seromucoid concentrations had MIC (Minimal Inhibition Concentration) in Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The physicochemical examination results showed specific gravity of 1.010; pH 8, -1 -1 -1g lucose 16 mg dL ; 9 mg dL cholesterol; protein 2.8 mg dL and negative heavy metals (Pb, Cu, Hg, Al). The results of the analysis of protein profiles showed that there were 3 subunits of proteins, range from 55 to 72 kDa and 1 specific protein sub unit of 43 kDa which was thought to be antimicrobial and biological response modifiers (BRM) immunostimulators.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat bertujuan untuk mengenalkan bahasa Inggris kepada anak usia dini melalui tema kesehatan. Sasaran program pengabdian adalah anak usia dini dengan rentang usia 3-7 tahun di Desa Wisata Sumberbulu, Karanganyar. Pelaksana kegiatan adalah tim dosen dan dibantu oleh mahasiswa diploma tiga keperawatan Universitas Kusuma Husada Surakarta. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian menggunakan demonstrasi melalui musik dan gerak/tari. Kegiatan dilakukan pada tanggal 27 Desember 2022 yang dihadiri 12 anak usia dini sebagai peserta. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan kegiatan dan evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan keterampilan anak usia dini tentang kosakata dan frasa bahasa Inggris yang berkaitan dengan kesehatan dan gaya hidup sehat. Keberhasilan kegiatan ini dapat dilihat pada hasil evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa semua peserta memahami dan mampu mengucapkan/melafalkan kosakata dan frasa bahasa Inggris dengan tema kesehatan dengan benar.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic malnutrition problem caused by insufficient nutritional intake for a long time due to the provision of food that does not meet nutritional needs. Toddlers with stunting are a chronic nutritional problem which can be caused by many factors, socioeconomic conditions, maternal nutrition during pregnancy, illness in infants, and lack of nutritional intake in infants. Synbiotics (prebiotics and probiotics) as an effective alternative for stunting Analyzing the effectiveness of prebiotic tempeh soyghurt as a functional drink for stunting prevention. The research method is an experimental research including fermenting prebiotic tempeh and prebiotic tempe extract, making prebiotic tempeh soygurt, and analyzing the nutritional content and product quality of probiotic tempeh soygurt referring to SNI 7552:2009 concerning flavored fermented milk including chemical physics analysis, namely the hedonic method organoleptic test, pH, acidity, protein, fat, ash content, fiber, water content and microbiological tests, namely MPN coliform and Salmonella sp. Data analysis used bivariate and multivariate Anova tests. Organoleptic test results for prebiotic soygurt extract of tempeh product with the addition of chitosan (0.5%; 1.0%; 1.5%; 2.0%) using lactic acid bacteria (LAB) inoculum in the rather dislike category (value 3.00) to rather like (value 4.50) . Physical test results showed liquid texture, yellowish color, aroma of tempeh extract, sour taste. Chemical test results (w/b) fat content 3.34%; milk solids 13.19%, non-fat milk solids 9.25%; proteins 0.69%; ash content 0.19%, acidity 0.69% and sugar content 0.59%. Microbiological tests showed MPN coliform <3 cells/100 ml sample and Salmonella sp/25 ml negative results. CONCLUSION: Soygurt extract tempe prebiotic product meets the physical, chemical and microbiological requirements so that it can function as a functional drink for stunting prevention can be concluded that the accuracy of measuring body weight depends on gender.
