Abstract

The findings of this study are (1) Teacher action on learning processin cycle II has exceeded indicator 61 that is 71 with good category. (2) Studentlearning outcomes in cycle II with indicator average value of at least 80 has beenfulfilled that is 82,80 and mastery has exceeded 90% that is 96%.

Abstract

Sunscreen is a preparation used on the surface of the skin that works to absorb, scatter, or reflect ultraviolet light. Skin of red onion (Allium cepa L.) is one of the natural ingredients that can be used as sunscreen, especially the. Skin of red onion contains flavonoid and tannin compounds that have the potential as sunscreen. This study aims to find out the ethanol extract skin of red onion in the form of emulgel preparations that have good physical quality and stability, SPF value and sunscreen protection activities. Ethanol extract skin of red onion is obtained by maceration using 50% ethanol solvents. Emulgel ethanol extract skin of red onion is made in 4 formulas with variations in extract concentrations of 0,05% ; 0,1% and 0,2%. Emulgel preparations are carried out physical quality test, stability, determination of SPF value (Sun Protection Factor) in vitro using UV-Vis spectrophotometry. The SPF value is calculated by the Mansyur equation. The in vivo test used a male rabbit (New Zealand) were irradiated with a UV B exoterra lamp for 24 hours to see the resulting effects of erythema. The results showed that the onion peel ethanol extract emulgel had good quality and stability. Sunscreen protection tests in vitro and in vivo showed that the sunscreen protection activity met the requirements for the effectiveness of sunscreen with an SPF value of emulgel with a concentration of 0,05% ; 0,1% and 0,2% of 9,59 classified as protection extra, 21,14 and 35,85 were classified as ultra protected and the erythema score after 24 hours of UV exposure was 0.

Abstract

AbstractPain is an uncomfortable feeling that is often felt by the majority of the Indonesian people. Pain involves two aspects: psychological and physiological both affected by factors such as culture, age, environment and support systems, past experience, anxiety and stress. The purpose of the program of activities of community service is to prov ide knowledge about the definition and the factors that influence pain, especially joint and muscle pain as well as provide training for people Tegal Mulyo RT 01 RW 04, Tegalmulyo village Mojosongo, district Jebres in the manufacture of balsam methyl salicylate easy and cheap. The method has been used in this activity is already done counseling about pain relief and making training balm containing metisalisilat to overcome joint and muscle pain. The benefits of this activity is to increase public knowledge about pain, especially joint and muscle pain, as well as increasing the ability of communities to make an ointment Metil Salisilat independently which is easy and cheap.Keywords: Methyl salicylate, balm, joint pain, muscle painAbstrakNyeri adalah perasaan tidak nyaman yang sering dirasakan oleh sebagian besar masyarakat Indonesia. Metode ini telah digunakan dalam kegiatan ini sudah dilakukan penyuluhan tentang nyeri dan membuat balm pelatihan yang mengandung metisalisilat untuk mengatasi nyeri sendi dan otot. Manfaat dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang rasa sakit, nyeri terutama sendi dan otot, serta meningkatkan kemampuan masyarakat untuk membuat salep Metil salisilat secara independen yang mudah dan murah.Kata Kunci: Metil salisilat, balsam, nyeri sendi,nyeri otot

Abstract

The community and especially children really like snacks such as ice cream. The use of dragon fruit as a component in ice cream is expected to be able to make people enjoy the sweetness and also get the intake of anthocyanins, especially those with antioxidant properties. The purpose of this activity is to provide skills training in the use of dragon fruit as the main component for ice cream making to PKK members in Kadipiro sub-district, Banjarsari District, Surakarta. The service activity begins with an explanation of the usefulness of dragon fruit and its phytochemical content. After that it was continued with training in making ice cream to PKK members. The training activities were divided into several stages starting from the tutorial then continued with mentoring from the team and ended with an evaluation of the implementation of the activities. The results from this activity are 1) participants have the understanding about nutrition of dragon fruit; 2) They understand procedure to make home made dragon fruit ice cream; 3) they able to make ice cream by themselves

Abstract

Strawberry leaf extract (Fragaria x ananassa var Duchesne) was reported to have good sunscreen activity. A good dosage formulation is necessary for the next stage. The purpose of this study was to formulate emulgel from the ethanol extract of strawberry leaves using physical quality tests, stability tests, and SPF value test.                 The strawberry leaves were extracted by the reflux method using 96% ethanol as solvent. The extract was analyzed for chemical content by TLC. The emulgel preparation is formulated with a concentration of 0,25%; 0,50% and 1%. The preparations were tested for physical quality, stability, and sunscreen activity using in vitro and in vivo. In vitro test using UV-Vis spectrophotometry and in vivo with experiments on human skin.The results showed that the yield of ethanol extract of strawberry leaves was 20,5% and the TLC test showed positive content of flavonoids and tannins. The emulgel formula had the best effectiveness as a barrier was formula with an extract concentration of 1%. The 1% ethanol extract concentration of strawberry leaves an emulgel resulted in SPF value of 59,94 ± 0,260.

Abstract

Soursop fruit contains vitamin C and polyphenolic compounds that have the potential as a source of antioxidants. It is hoped that by consuming a lot of soursop fruit it will provide an increase in memory and to maintain cell damage due to free radicals. Making soursop candy preparations will allow use which is relatively easy to use and gives a good taste so that not only adults consume it but also for children. Service activities are divided into several stages starting from surveys and observations, followed by training in the form of tutorials then mentoring from the service team and ending with activity evaluation. Making soursop candy preparations is easy, simple and uses simple tools. We often encounter soursop fruit in the yard and for additional materials for making soursop preparations, it is easy to find on the market and the price is cheap. The principle of making it is all the ingredients are boiled until it becomes a semi-solid dough. Then wait until it cools down. Once cool, cut according to taste and wrapped in an attractive wrapper. Service activities carried out in RT 1/RW 1, Laweyan District, Surakarta went well while still implementing health protocols. In addition to providing training on making soursop candy preparations for PKK cadres in Kerten Laweyan Surakarta, training was also held related to opportunities to be developed as community independent businesses. The conclusion of the activity and evaluation of the preparation of soursop candy is considered to have the potential to be developed so that it can be used as an independent business product that is marketed commercially.

Abstract

The strongest cause of premature aging is sunlight (photoaging), especially UV A rays. Anti-aging creams containing antioxidant compounds can be used in the treatment of aging on the skin of the face. Red spinach leaves (Amaranthus tricolor L.) are a natural source of antioxidants that have very strong potential as an anti-aging. Objectives: This study aims to determine the activity of red spinach leaf extract cream as an anti-aging using New Zealand rabbits exposed to UV-A rays. The skin of the rabbit's back is smeared with cream F1, F2, F3, F4, F5 for 30 days. Parameter observation using a skin analyzer is carried out before, after induction, and after cream smearing. Parameters include percent collagen, elasticity, and moisture. The results of the study were analyzed statistically using one way anova. All test creams pass the physical quality test requirements, but the creams that pass the stability test are F1, F2, F4. The primary irritation test F1, F2, F4 is not irritating whereas F3 is very little irritating. Test the ocular irritation of all creams is not irritating. The test results of anti-aging activity show that F2 provides the most effective anti-aging effect because the percent increase in parameters is the greatest.

Abstract

Potensi penggunaan metil salisilat untuk pereda nyeri otot yang digunakan secara topikal sangat besar di Indonesia. Bentuk balsem stik merupakan inovasi yang muncul dikarenakan adanya keluhan tidak nyaman dan lengket pada tangan saat diaplikasikan. Sehingga sediaan balsem yang dianggap kuno oleh sebagian orang, kini semakin elegan dengan dibuat dalam bentuk mini stik yang praktis digunakan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan metode penyuluhan dan pelatihan kepada kader PKK di wilayah Kerten Laweyan Surakarta. Penggunaan bahan-bahan yang murah dan mudah diperoleh serta dengan pengembangan label kemasan, maka hasil pelatihan yang sudah dilakukan dinilai mempunyai potensi untuk dikembangkan sebagai usaha mandiri warga.

Abstract

Pendahuluan Tabir surya merupakan sediaan kosmetik yang berperan melindungi kulit dari bahaya paparan radiasi sinar matahari. Sun protecting factor (SPF) adalah kemampuan kulit bertahan dibawah sinar matahari tanpa mengalami sunbrun. Salah satu tanaman yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan utama tabir surya (sunscreen) yaitu tanaman stroberi, sebab memiliki kandungan flamonoid dan polifenol. Tujuan Tujuan untuk mengetahui uji aktivitas ekstrak daun stroberi (Fragaria xananassa var duchesne) sebagai sediaan krim tabir surya dan mengetahui nilai SPF sediaan krim ekstrak daun stroberi. Metode Proses ekstraksi dilakukan dengan cara maserasi menggunakan etanol berkadar 96 %. Kemudian, ekstrak tersebut dibuat krim dengan kadar 0,125 %, 0,250 % dan 0,500 %. Pengujian yang dilakukan meliputi mutu fisik, stabilitas, dan aktivitas tabir surya baik secara in vivo maupun in vitro. Uji aktivitas secara in vitro menggunakan spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Uji aktivitas secara in vivo dilakukan menggunakan kelinci betina putih new zealand yang disinari menggunakan lampu exotera selama 24 jam dan 48 jam untuk dilihat eritema yang dihasilkan. Hasil Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak daun stroberi dapat dibuat menjadi sedian krim yang memiliki mutu fisik yang baik dan bisa menangkal radiasi sinar UV B. Nilai SPF sedian krim dengan seri konsentrasi 0,125% ; 0,250% dan 0,500% yaitu 21,32 ± 0,30; 36,06 ± 0,02 dan 41,20 ± 0,072. Kesimpulan Ekstrak daun stroberi (Fragaria xananassa var duchesne) memenuhi syarat mutu fisik sebagai krim tabir surya dan konsentrasi ekstrak 0,500% memiliki nilai SPF paling tinggi 41,20.
