Abstract

Unen-unen related to the karawitan (Javenese traditional musical art) comes from the utterances of artists or karawitan observers.In addition, it is also the extent to those unen-unen that reflect Javanese ethics are implemented in social life. This research aimsto describe the form of unen-unen that reflects Javanese ethics in the Surakarta-style karawitan and its implementation in life.The approach used in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach. The data were collected through of observation techniques,unguided interview techniques, recording techniques, observation methods, documentation methods, and note taking techniques.The data were analyzed by content review techniques or content analysis. The results of this study are: (1) the form of unen-unenthat reflects Javanese ethics in the Surakarta-style karawitan classified based on the lingual unit of the word 23 unen-unen,consisting of monomorphemic 14 unen-unen, and polymorphemic 9 unen-unen (3 in the form of compound words); (2) theimplementation of unen-unen that reflects Javanese ethics in the Surakarta-style karawitan could be occured since there is ananalogy between its meaning in society and in the karawitan musical arts. The analogy reffered to the similarity meaning of theunen-unen that is in the karawitan musical arts and that applies in social life, while the implementation is in the form of anactivity example or a concrete form that reflects the found of unen-unen. After being analogized in social life, these unen-unencontain ethics that are often used by Javanese people as a guideline in their lives, therefore Javanese people could achieve aharmonious life and a high spiritual level. Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan studi pendahuluan untuk mengkaji psikologi Suryomentaram (Suryomentaram, 1985a, 1985b) sebagai teori dalam penelitian novel berbahasa Jawa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membandingkan pemikiran Suryomentaram dengan pemikiran psikologi Barat. Selama ini penelitian psikologi dalam novel Jawa menggunakan teori Sigmund Freud yang mengusung konsep id, ego, dan superego (Milner, 1992). Hasil kajian penelitian menunjukkan bahwa struktur novel dan gejala psikologis di dalamnya hanya dilihat sebagai struktur pembangun. Novel perlu dipelajari dengan pendekatan psikologi lokal (indigenous psychology) untuk memahami konteks sosial dan budayanya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kelemahan penelitian psikologi novel Jawa selama ini, membandingkan psikologi Suryomentaram dengan teori Barat, yaitu Sigmund Freud, Carl Gustav Jung, dan Alfred Adler, serta menawarkan psikologi Suryomentaram sebagai pendekatan penelitian novel Jawa. Suryomentaram mengajarkan konsep psikologis yang bersumber dari budaya Jawa.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation of Javanese language learning activities and determine the improvement of learning achievement in writing advertisement/advertisement texts with the Wordwall media-assisted game method. The primary problem for students is the limited Javanese vocabulary, which causes low learning achievement. The research method used in this study is classroom action research (CAR), which details two cycles. Techniques for collecting data include observation, assessment, and documentation techniques. The study's results showed a significant increase in students' writing skills. In cycle one, around 38.24% of students achieved a score of ≥ 75; in the second cycle, it increased to 70.59%. Wordwall learning media has proven effective, reducing the incomplete percentage from 61.76% in cycle one to 29.41% in the second cycle. This study concluded that the Wordwall media-assisted game method could be an alternative in dealing with problems in Javanese language subjects, significantly improving writing skills in advertisement/advertisement texts. This research also contributes to developing innovative Javanese language learning methods to improve writing skills by integrating Wordwall to address learners' interests and Javanese vocabulary limitations.

Abstract

Mengacu pada problematika yang terjadi di dunia pendidikan, dewasa kini filosofi pemikiran Ki Hajar Dewantara menjadi salah satu hal yang perlu diperhatikan pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran abad 21. Filosofi Ki Hajar Dewantara menjadi pedoman pada kurikulum merdeka, salah satunya untuk menunjang pembelajaran materi unggah-ungguh basa Jawa keterampilan berbicara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi aktualisasi nilai tetep, antep, mantep dalam filosofi Jawa Ki Hajar Dewantara sebagai panduan dalam membentuk dimensi bernalar kritis pada profil pelajar Pancasila. Metode penelitian kajian pustaka digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dari buku, jurnal, dokumen, dan sumber literatur terkait. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik content analysis atau teknik kajian isi, yang divalidasi menggunakan validitas semantic. Asil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai tetep, antep, mantep memiliki relevansi dengan dimensi bernalar kritis untuk memandu siswa dalam menyampaikan argumentasi berdasarkan logika dan penalaran. Nilai tetep menekankan konsistensi, antep menyoroti kepercayaan berdasarkan fakta, dan mantep memantapkan gagasan dengan kepercayaan diri. Filosofi Ki Hajar Dewantara menjadi landasan moral dan etika, dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila sebagai pijakan utama. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan praktik pembelajaran Bahasa Jawa, khususnya dalam mengembangkan keterampilan bernalar kritis siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the forms of language of rejection used by students and in interactions with lecturers at the Department of Javanese Language and Literature (Bahasa dan Sastra Jawa/BSJ), UNNES. A sociolinguistic study approach is used to explore this phenomenon's social and linguistic context. This research used descriptive qualitative research. The research results show that students in this context use various forms of rejection language explicitly and implicitly as a form of attitude or response to certain situations. The analysis also revealed differences in the use of rejection language between interactions between fellow students and interactions with lecturers. Social factors, culture, and academic hierarchy can influence the choice of rejection language used.
