Abstract

Abstract

Stunting is a major challenge to human development in Indonesia, with long-term impacts on human resource quality and economic productivity. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of government policies in accelerating stunting reduction through a System Dynamics Modeling approach in Brebes Regency, Central Java. This approach maps the causal relationships between key variables: the Family Planning (KB) program, sanitation, maternal education, nutritional intake, and the role of the Family Assistance Team (TPK). Secondary data were obtained from SSGI, SKI, e-PPGBM, and BPS (2018–2024). Model validation yielded a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 18.26%, indicating high accuracy. Simulation results indicate that a 10–15% increase in KB participation reduces stunting prevalence to below 5% by 2045. The integration of sensitive interventions—KB, the Foster Parents Movement to Prevent Stunting (GENTING), sanitation, nutrition, and TPK—resulted in a best-case scenario with a reduction of up to 1.8%. The findings emphasize the importance of multisectoral and family-based policies. The System Dynamics model has proven effective as an evidence-based policy tool to achieve Indonesia's zero stunting target by 2045.
