Abstract

Abstract

The triple elimination program aims to prevent transmission of HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B from mother to fetus. In 2021, 2,485,430 pregnant women were tested for HIV (50.8%), 799,586 pregnant women were tested for syphilis (16.4%), and 2,946,013 pregnant women were tested for hepatitis B (60 .3%).3 The gap between the number of HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B tests indicates that this triple elimination program is not yet a priority. This community service uses educational methods using booklet media. Activity participants are pregnant women of all trimesters and cadres. The pre-test and post-test results showed that the level of participants' understanding of Triple Elimination increased by 3.92% after education was provided through booklets. Community service activities showed positive responses from pregnant women and cadres in the discussion process regarding triple elimination problems for pregnant women. It is hoped that pregnant women can carry out triple elimination examinations, and better understand the importance of triple elimination, cadre mothers can play an active role in passing on information to prospective pregnant women and pregnant women who have not yet received information about Triple Elimination.

Abstract

Hypertension is a condition characterized by an abnormal increase in blood pressure, which can lead to higher morbidity and mortality rates. The number of individuals affected by hypertension continues to rise annually, with projections estimating that by 2025, approximately 1.5 billion people will be affected, and 9.4 million deaths will occur each year due to hypertension and its complications. Among the elderly population, hypertension prevalence is notably increasing. This study aims to assess the impact of deep breathing relaxation techniques on blood pressure changes in elderly hypertension patients at the Geriatrics Clinic of Mataram Regional Hospital. A one-group pretest-posttest design was utilized, in which blood pressure measurements were taken before and after the intervention. The study involved 42 elderly hypertension patients, with data analysis conducted using the T-test. The findings revealed a significant effect of deep breathing relaxation on blood pressure reduction, as indicated by a p-value of 0.000. In conclusion, deep breathing relaxation techniques play a significant role in lowering blood pressure among elderly hypertension patients

Abstract

Traditional instructional approaches to teaching three-dimensional (3D) geometric shapes are often ineffective in promoting student engagement and deep conceptual understanding of geometric principles. This study investigates the integration of GeoGebra Augmented Reality (AR) as an innovative pedagogical tool for the enhancement of 3D geometry instruction and assesses its effectiveness in developing students' geometric thinking, based on Van Hiele’s theoretical framework. A series of interactive learning lessons facilitated students interactive with 3D models and dynamic simulations, aimed at fostering more robust conceptual understanding. The research employed a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 60 secondary school students who participated in geometry learning using GeoGebra AR. Data were collected through a geometric thinking test and categorized according to Van Hiele’s level taxonomy. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test revealed a significant improvement in students' geometric thinking levels following the intervention (p < 0.05), leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis. These findings provide empirical support for the effectiveness of GeoGebra AR in advancing students’ Van Hiele levels and enhancing their comprehension of geometric concepts. These results highlight the potential of GeoGebra AR as a pedagogically valuable tool for supporting students’ cognitive development in geometry and increasing their engagement in mathematics learning. Further investigations are recommended to examine the long-term impacts of GeoGebra AR across diverse educational contexts and demographic settings.
