Abstract

The  study  aims  to  determine  the  time  of  grafting  seedlings  rubber  tree  (hevea brasiliensis Muell Erg.) Which consists of a morning, afternoon and evening on success of grafting growth. The experiment was conducted in village of Taba Tembilang Arga Makmur  district  of  North  Bengkulu,  in  September  until  November  2012.  The experiment was conducted using a randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) with a single factor, namely time of application grafting with replay 4 times. Factors studied were time applications grafting (W) is: W1 = In the morning hours of 07:00 to 08,00, afternoon   W2 = 13.00 -14.00, and evening   17.00-18.00. The study concluded that: (Time) does not affect the application of grafting significantly to the success of grafting and shoots of growth, (2) No application time best rubber grafted seedlings. Application of rubber seedling grafting can be done anytime.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to know effect some kind herbicides to control the weeds paddy direct seeded and soybean in wet areal. A randomized block design was used 3 replications and 8 treatments namely: (A) Agristar; (B) Ally Plus; (C) DMA; (D) Metafuron; (E) Agristar and DMA 6; (F) Agristar and Metafuron; (G) Ally Plus and DMA 6; (H) Ally Plus and Metafuron. The result suggested that just pre plant herbicides (Ally Plus and Agristar) or post emergence herbicides (DMA 6 and Metafuron) only was not effective to control the weeds paddy direct seeded and soybean in wet areal. Pre plant herbicide (Ally Plus) that next is followed post emergence DMA 6 most effective to control the weed paddy direct seeded and soybean in wet areal.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of biological herbicide formulas on smallholder coffee plantations in various agro-ecological conditions, namely smallholder coffee fields in the medium plains and plateau. The study concluded that the weeds found in the medium plains coffee fields were 17 species. The dominant weeds were Cynodon dactilon 38.1%, Asystasia gangetica 19.3%, Ageratum conyzoides 10%, Borreria latifolia 5.4%, Acmella paniculata 3.3%, and Clydemia hirta 3.3%. These six types of weeds dominate the land at 79.4%. Meanwhile, in the plateau, there were 20 types of weeds. The dominant weeds were Brachiaria ramosa 17.8%, Synedrella nodiflora 10.4%, Digitaria cyliaris 8.7%, Mikania micrantha, 8.7%, Brachiaria setigera 8.5%, Dryopteris filixmas 7.8%, Ottochloa nodosa. 5.7%, Hyptis rhomboidea 4.3%, Brachiaria reptans 3.9%, and Clidemia hirta 3.5%. These ten types of weeds dominate the land for 79.3%. Herbicides formulated Unihaz 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 were effective in controlling weeds in smallholder coffee plantations, both in the medium plains and plateau.

Abstract

A series of studies had been carried out to create new types of herbicides. The studies had found six formulations ofherbicides. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of herbicides formulation in controlling aquatic weeds. Theexperiment used a randomized complete block design with seven herbicide formulations as treatments and three replications.The seven formulations of herbicide were: Unihaz 1, Unihaz 2, Unihaz 3, Unihaz 4, Unihaz 5, Unihaz 6, and a control(glyphosate 2 kg ha-1). The results of the study found that there were 21 species of weed in rainfed swamps, ten species inbrackish swamps and one species namely water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) in drainage channel. Herbicide formulationsof Unihaz 3, 4, 5, and 6 were effective in controlling aquatic weeds in rainfed swamps. Herbicide formulations of Unihaz 2, 3and 5 were effective in controlling aquatic weeds in brackish swamps. All herbicides formulations were effective in controllingweeds in drainage channels. Moreover, herbicide formulation of Unihaz 5 was more effective in controlling aquatic weeds inrainfed swamps, brackish swamps and drainage channels than other formulations, and it was not significantly different fromthe use of a glyphosate dose of 2 kg ha-1.Keywords: Eichhornia crassipes, fermented coconut water, organic herbicide, new types of herbicides

Abstract

IbM program for farmer group partners rabbits Tani Mulya village Mekarsari aims to provide knowledge and business skills make Bokashi fertilizer and liquid organic fertilizer by utilizing waste rabbits are widely available in the village Mekarsari as one of the productive economic activities. Program for partners Rational Kepahiang chili farmer groups is to give knowledge and skills in chili cultivation by utilizing Bokashi rabbit droppings and urine POC rabbits to substitute the use of inorganic fertilizers and pesticides, as well as increase production of chili plants. Methods of execution include: (1) Extension and technical guidance of making modifications to the enclosure; (2) Training and technical guidance manufacture Bokashi rabbit feces and urine POC (3) Extension and technical guidance packaging and manufacture of trademarks Bokashi rabbit feces and urine POC; and (4) Extension and demonstration plot curly chilli cultivation. The conclusion of this program are members of the group partner 1 (Tani Mulya) already know and understand in modifying enclosures so that the urine of rabbits can be disposed of easily, leftover food and feces collected well, where food is specially concentrate that is easily accessible rabbits and easy to clean, the food in the form of special herbs are easy to reach and a special drink that rabbit feels comfortable, environmental sanitation is better and easier to collect waste enclosure to be used as organic fertilizer. In addition, farmers' groups have been able to make fertilizer bokashi of solid waste and liquid waste rabbits, making the brand and market Bokashi manure they produce. Members of farmers group partner 2 (Rational Kepahiang) already know and understand the chilli cultivation by utilizing Bokashi rabbit droppings and urine POC rabbit in order to substitute the use of inorganic fertilizers and pesticides.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan rekomendasi paket teknologi pupuk bokashi berbahan baku limbah ternak kelinci dan dosis pupuk terbaik untuk budidaya kentang organik. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Talang Ratu, kecamatan Lebong Selatan, Kabupaten Lebong dan Laboratorium Tanah, Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Prof. Dr. Hazairin, SH., pada bulan Februari sampai Oktober 2017. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terbagi (Split Plot Design). Sebagai Petak Utama adalah Paket Teknologi Pupuk Organik Limbah Kelinci (P) terdiri dari 4 (empat) taraf yaitu: P1= Paket Teknologi I (Paket teknologi dengan formula limbah ternak kelinci 50 kg + kapur dolomit 2,5 kg + dedak halus 5 kg dan memfermentasikan dengan menggunakan larutan EM-4 sebanyak 5 liter); P2 = Paket Teknologi II (Paket teknologi dengan formula limbah ternak kelinci 333,3 kg + pupuk kandang sapi 11,1 kg + abu jerami padi 5,6 kg + kapur dolomite 2,5 kg + dedak halus 5 kg dan memfermentasikan dengan menggunakan larutan EM-4 sebanyak 5 liter); P3 = Paket Teknologi III (Paket teknologi dengan formula limbah ternak kelinci 10 kg + pupuk kandang sapi 20 kg + abu jerami padi 10 kg + kapur dolomite 2,5 kg + dedak halus 5 kg dan memfermentasi dengan menggunakan larutan EM-4 sebanyak 5 liter); P4 = Paket Teknologi IV (Paket teknologi dengan formula limbah ternak kelinci 10 kg + pupuk kandang sapi 20 kg + abu jerami padi 10 kg + kapur dolomite 2,5 kg + dedak halus 5 kg dan memfermentasi dengan menggunakan larutan EM-4 sebanyak 5 liter). Sebagai anak petak adalah Dosis Pupuk (D) terdiri dari: D0 = Kontrol (Tanpa Pupuk); D1 = Dosis 5 ton/ha; D2 = Dosis 10 ton/ha; D3 = Dosis 15 ton/ha; D4 = Dosis 20 ton/ha; D5 = Dosis 25 ton/ha; D6 = Pupuk Anorganik, dosis Urea 400 kg/ha, SP36 350 kg/ha dan KCl 100 kg/ha. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan: (1) Paket teknologi pembuatan pupuk bokashi berbahan baku kelinci berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kentang dan jagung. (2) Perlakuan dosis pupuk bokashi berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kentang dan jagung. Dosis pupuk terbaik adalah 20 ton/ha dan 25 ton/ha. (3) Interaksi perlakuan paket teknologi dan dosis berpengaruh sangatnya terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kentang dan jagung. (4) Kombinasi perlakuan terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kentang adalah perlakuan paket teknologi 1 dengan dosis 20 ton/ha (P1D4) dan dosis 25 ton/ha (P1D5) serta paket teknologi 3 dengan dosis 25 ton/ha (P3D5). (5) Kombinasi perlakuan terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung adalah perlakuan paket teknoligi 3 dengan dosis 15 ton/ha, 20 ton/ha dan 25 ton/ha (P3D3, P3D4, P3D5) dan paket teknologi 4 dengan dosis 20 ton/ha (P4D4).

Abstract

Penelitian sebelumnya diperoleh empat paket teknologi bokashi limbah kandang kelinci. Keempat paket teknologi ini perlu diuji untuk mengetahui paket teknologi yang mana yang terbaik untuk tanaman jagung manis. Selain itu perlu juga perlu diketahui dosis berapa yang terbaik dalam budidaya jagung manis tersebut. Abstract

This research was aimed to select allelopathy of the seven species of plants that are supposed to reduce the vigor of weeds Echinochloa crus-galli. The research was conducted in the Laboratory of Plantation Protection Bereau Bengkulu Province from January to March 2011. This research was arranged in Completely Randomized Design with five replications. The treatments was alelopati extract consisted of control (pure water), Chromolaena odorata, Lantana camara, Acasia mangium, Swietania macrophylla, Pithecollobium jiringa, Eucalyptus sp and Cocos nucifera. The results showed that the allelopathy treatment reduced significantly the weed Echinochloa crus-galli vigor. All of the allelopathy treatment made 0% germinating of weed Echinochloa crus-galli, however control (without allelopathy) made 78% germination.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komposisi media dengan pupuk bokashi limbah kulit kopi terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kopi robusta di persemaian main nursery dan mengetahui komposisi terbaik yang mampu menggantikan penggunaan pupuk kimia pada pembibitan kopi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Tugu Rejo Kecamatan Kabawetan Kabupaten Kepahiang Provinsi Bengkulu. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) satu faktor dengan 6 (enam) perlakuan yaitu komposisi bokashi pada media tanam (P). Masing-masing komposisi perlakuan diulang 4 (empat) kali, sehingga diperoleh 24 satuan percobaan. Setiap satuan percobaan terdapat 5 (lima) polibag, sehingga terdapat 120 polibag. setiap unit pecobaan diambil 3 (tiga) sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perlakuan media pupuk bokashi limbah kulit kopi berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap berat kering bibit kopi, berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman dan berat basah, dan berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap jumlah daun dan diameter batang. Pengaruh komposisi media pupuk bokashi limbah kulit kopi terbaik ditunjukan nilai tinggi tanaman 13,63 Penggunaan pupuk bokashi limbah kulit kopi mampu menstubtitusi pemberian pupuk anorganik pada pembibitan main nursery. Penggunaan media dengan komposisi satu bagian tanah sub soil dicampur dengan empat bagian bokashi limbah kulit kopi pada pembibitan kopi robusta pada main nursery memberikan hasil yang baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penambahan fermentasi air kelapa terhadap efektifitas glifosat dalam membunuh gulma Alang-alang. Pelaksanaan penelitian pada bulan April - Agustus di desa Tanjung Heran, Kecamatan Taba Penanjung. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Faktor tunggal dengan 6 (enam) perlakuan yaitu penambahan fermentasi air kelapa pada berbagai dosis herbisida glifosat (F), dengan tiga kali ulangan. Perlakuan tersebut adalah: F1= Glifosat 2 ml/ l air + Fermentasi air kelapa 100 ml; F2= Glifosat 4 ml/l air + Fermentasi air kelapa 100 ml; F3 = Glifosat 6 ml/l air + Fermentasi air kelapa 100 ml; F4 = Glifosat 2 ml/l air; F5 = Glifosat 4 ml/l air; F6 = Glifosa 6 ml/l air. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan perlakuan penambahan fermentasi air kelapa pada herbisida glifosat berpengaruh sangat nyata dalam membunuh gulma alang-alang. Kombinasi perlakuan dosis herbisida gifosat 4 ml/l air ditambah dengan 100 ml fermentasi air kelapa efektif dalam membunuh guma alang-alang.
