Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran kelompok nelayan di Negeri Seith, Kecamatan Leihitu, Maluku Tengah, mengenai pengelolaan hipertensi melalui terapi rempah (RENALAH). Dilaksanakan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa STIKES Pasapua Ambon, kegiatan ini melibatkan tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan penyuluhan, dan evaluasi hasil. Penyuluhan diberikan dalam bentuk teori dan praktik pemanfaatan rempah (bawang putih, jahe, kunyit, dan seledri) sebagai alternatif alami untuk pengendalian tekanan darah. Evaluasi pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta dari 40,13% menjadi 84,27%. Selain pengetahuan, terjadi perubahan perilaku peserta yang mulai menggunakan rempah sebagai bagian dari pengelolaan hipertensi mereka. Kegiatan ini membuktikan efektivitas edukasi berbasis rempah dalam meningkatkan kesadaran kesehatan masyarakat pesisir yang memiliki akses terbatas pada layanan kesehatan

Abstract

Syphilis not only causes morbidity, but can also cause mortality for sufferers. In Indonesia, the Indonesian Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) reported that cases of syphilis or raja singa in Indonesia reached 20,783 cases in 2022. This figure increased by 70% compared to 2018 with 12,484 cases. Data from the Maluku Provincial Health Office in 2022 recorded the findings of 594 cases of sexually transmitted infections of Syphilis with an average productive age including mothers in the perinatal period and the majority of the distribution was in the city of Ambon. At the Suli Health Center, in 2023 when screening of pregnant women was carried out on the first visit, 193 mothers were found to have sexually transmitted infections of syphilis in 5 mothers, 2 of whom had given birth and had recovered, so that at the time of the study there were still 3 mothers in the perinatal period who were reactive to syphilis who were undergoing treatment. community service with the hope of providing knowledge to the public who are still unfamiliar with sexually transmitted diseases, especially in couples of childbearing age.

Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), health is a state of physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or weakness. Meanwhile, according to Health Law No. 36 of 2009, health is a state of physical, mental, spiritual and social health that enables everyone to live productively socially and economically. The activity begins with registration for those who will seek treatment and anamnesis and blood measurements of patients are carried out by health workers and counseling that is individual depending on the disease suffered. After being examined, a prescription will be given for either injections or oral medication. This activity ended at around 13.45 WIT. Of the 48 patients who received treatment at GPM Lateri, 8 people suffered from rheumatism, 12 people suffered from acute respiratory infections, 5 people with gastrointestinal disorders, 23 people suffered from hypertension. 20 of the patients were women and 28 were men.

Abstract

Introduction: Adolescence is a dynamic developmental phase in one’s life. Where this period is a transition from childhood to adulthood which is characterized by developments ranging from physical, mental, emotional, and social. The general objective is to find out the relationship between personal hygiene knowledge and behavior during menstruation in young women in the Talita Kumi 1 sector, Waai Village, Central Maluku Regency. Method: The research method used was an analytical survey, with a cross-sectional study design. Sampling used a total sampling technique with a total of 38 respondent. Results: The results obtained were that 13 respondents (34.2%) had good knowledge in the talitakumi sector 1, while 25 respondents (65.8%) had poor knowledge. Adolescents with good behavior were 26 respondents (68.4%), while adolescents with unfavorable behavior were 12 respondents (31.6%). The relationship between knowledge and adolescent behavior during menstruation in the talitakumi1 sector in Waai village was a statistical test at p = 0.064, in other words the p-value in this study was greater than 0.05. Conclusion: There was no relationship between knowledge and adolescent behavior during menstruation.

Abstract

Early marriage, a practice that has been embedded in traditions for generations, has unpredictable and serious repercussions, especially in terms of health-related problems, such as pregnancy complications and stunted child growth. The purpose of this community service is to increase adolescent knowledge about early marriage and the risk of stunting. The results showed that counseling interventions were effective in increasing public knowledge about the dangers of early marriage and stunting. The proportion of individuals with good knowledge increased significantly after the extension program. These findings are consistent with previous research highlighting the effectiveness of education in changing behaviors related to early marriage and stunting. Conclusion, extension interventions have been shown to be effective in increasing knowledge about the dangers of early marriage and stunting. Continuous education efforts with appropriate methods and involving multistakeholders are essential to strengthen knowledge and encourage changes in community behavior

Abstract

Free sex behavior among adolescents is a global issue that requires serious attention in efforts to prevent sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and unwanted pregnancies . The results of the study on the effectiveness of interventions in increasing the knowledge of abdimas participants about the topics discussed. Results showed a significant increase from 38.2% to 88.2% in the number of abdimas participants who had good knowledge after the intervention. Some of the factors contributing to this increase include interactive and structured outreach methods, as well as participant involvement in intervention activities. Social interaction and exchange of experiences are also considered to play an important role in enriching participants' understanding. Although knowledge is the first step, behavior change requires consideration of other factors such as attitudes, social norms, and the environment. The integration of these components in intervention programs can amplify the positive effects of increased knowledge.

Abstract

Proses kehamilan dan persalinan adalah momen penting dalam kehidupan wanita. Pengalaman ini dapat memicu berbagai respons emosional dan psikososial, baik positif maupun negatif, yang dapat berdampak pada jangka pendek maupun jangka panjang. Tujuan: Untuk Mengetahuai hubungan pengetahuan dan perilaku dengan pemilihan tempat persalinan di Puskesmas Kairatu Kecamatan Kairatu Kabupaten Seram Bagian Barat. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian Deskriptif Analitik yang bersifat kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional study menggunakan Uji Cross Sectional Study dengan jumlah sampel 35 responden. Dari hasil analisis bivariat antara hubungan pengetahuan dengan pemilihan tempat persalinan sebesar (p= 0,012) dan perilaku dengan pemilihan tempat persalinan sebesar (p= 0,018) dengan korelasi chi square nilai ini >0,05. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan dan  perilaku dengan pemilihan tempat persalinan di Puskesmas Kairatu Kecamatan Kairatu Kabupaten Seram Bagian Barat. Kesimpulan: Pengetahuan ibu hamil memengaruhi pemilihan tempat persalinan, Ibu hamil perlu meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya pemilihan tempat persalinan yang tepat melalui program penyuluhan, dengan peran penting bidan sebagai agen perubahan di Masyarakat
