Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of childrenwith reading difficulties who still experience obstaclesin early reading skills, including reading letters,syllables, and words, which affects the reading abilityand learning process in the classroom,. The purposeof this study is to determine the effect of using syllablecard media on early reading skills in children withreading difficulties,. This research was conducted on afifth-grade student with reading difficulties at SDNTalun 1 Mancak with the initials SH,. The researchmethod used is quantitative with a Single SubjectResearch (SSR) approach using an A-B-A design,.Data collection techniques were carried out throughinitial reading ability tests and observations during theintervention process,. Data were analyzed using visualanalysis within and between conditions. This is shownby the increase in the mean level from the baseline-1(A1) phase of 32%, the intervention (B) phase of88.5%, and the baseline-2 (A2) phase of 88%,,. Theresults of the study show that the use of syllable cardmedia has a positive effect on improving children'searly reading skills,. By using syllable card media, thesubject gradually experienced an increase in the abilityto read letters, syllables, and words more accuratelyand fluently,. Thus, this research can answer thehypothesis that the use of syllable card media canimprove the subject's initial reading skills.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the condition of mentally retarded students who experience puberty so they start to like the opposite sex, start touching the body parts of the opposite sex and make the person of the opposite sex they like feel uncomfortable until they decide to stop going to school. likes older people because they feel loved and are lured by money, are often invited to go to quiet places and are indicated to be receptive to sexual understanding. The aim of this research is to increase understanding of sexual education during puberty for mentally retarded students by applying the social story method. The research method used in this research is an experimental method with a single subject (single subject study) which is analyzed through data analysis within conditions and between conditions. The results of this study show a flat and increasing graph. This can be seen from the comparison of the mean level values ​​in each phase where the mean level in baseline phase 1 (A1) is 56%, while the mean level in the intervention phase (B) is 68,125%, and in the baseline phase 2 (A2) is 60%. So it can be said that the application of this social story method can increase understanding of sexual education during puberty for mentally retarded students.

Abstract

Deaf students often experience difficulties in learning dance skills, particularly in understanding and performing movement sequences accurately. This study aimed to examine the effect of the VAKT (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, and Tactile) method on the candle dance skills of deaf students at SKh Bina Citra Anak. A pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design was employed involving five deaf students as research participants. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests using a candle dance performance assessment instrument to measure students' progress after receiving instruction through the VAKT method. The findings indicated that the students demonstrated strong initiative and active engagement throughout the learning process, including the pre-test, treatment, and post-test stages. The implementation of the VAKT method improved students' ability to perform dance movements in a more structured, accurate, and coordinated manner. Wilcoxon signed-rank test analysis revealed that the calculated value (Tcount = 15) was greater than the critical value (Ttable = 0), leading to the rejection of H0 and acceptance of Ha. These findings confirm that the VAKT method has a positive effect on improving the candle dance skills of deaf students. The integration of visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile elements facilitates students' understanding of dance movements through demonstrations, physical practice, and tactile experiences, making the learning process more effective and appropriate for the characteristics of deaf learners.
