Abstract

Every human being needs the fulfillment of basic needs in life, as well as children. During the covid-19 pandemic the fulfillment of the needs of orphanage children needs to be considered. This study aims to find out an in-depth and empirical picture of the fulfillment of children's needs during the covid-19 pandemic at al-Mubarokah Children's Orphanage which includes aspects of physiological needs, security needs and social needs. The research uses qualitative approach with descriptive method. Informants in this study were three caregivers, two caretakers and three foster children. Data collection is conducted with in-depth interviews, observations and documentation studies. The results showed that social needs seen from sub-aspects of social interaction showed good results. While aspects of physiological needs and the need for security have not been maximized. In an effort to improve physiological needs and security needs, a program was designed. The program proposed by researchers is Panti Sigap for Children's Needs during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The purpose of this program is to improve the fulfillment of children's needs related to aspects of physiological needs and security. This program uses the groupwork method.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika sering dianggap sulit oleh peserta didik, yang berdampak pada rendahnya motivasi belajar mereka. Pendekatan Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) diterapkan untuk mengatasi kesulitan belajar yang dialami banyak peserta didik, dengan mengelompokkan mereka berdasarkan tingkat kemampuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak pendekatan Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran matematika di SD Negeri 1 Awirarangan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui angket. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik sebanyak 12 orang dan 10 orang guru. Uji validitas dan reliabilitas digunakan untuk menguji instrument soal di angket. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner berupa skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan TaRL dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik, dengan rata-rata skor motivasi mencapai 87,35% yang tergolong Sangat Baik. Hasil penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan bahwa pemahaman guru mengenai konsep TaRL adalah Sangat Baik sebesar 91,75%, yang berkontribusi pada efektivitas pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan TaRL efektif dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang inklusif dan menarik serta menyesuaikan pembelajaran dengan tingkat kemampuan peserta didik sehingga motivasi belajar peserta didik cukup tinggi. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan rekomendasi bagi guru dalam menerapkan pendekatan TaRL untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik di kelas.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the challenges and opportunities faced by high school history teachers in utilizing social media, especially TikTok, as a learning medium. With a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews, content observations, documentation studies, and open questionnaires to teachers and students in the city of Medan and its surroundings. The results show that teachers face a number of challenges, including limited digital skills, limited time to create content, lack of institutional support, and obstacles to access to technology and the internet. However, behind these challenges, TikTok and other social media open up great opportunities in creating more interesting, visual, and contextual historical learning for the digital native generation. Teachers who are able to innovate in the use of social media have been proven to increase student engagement, build a living historical narrative, and create participatory and collaborative learning spaces. The strategies implemented include collaboration with students in content production, adaptation of popular trends, and the use of TikTok's interactive features. This study concludes that the success of the use of social media in history learning is determined by teachers' readiness in pedagogical and digital aspects, as well as support from the school environment and education policies. Therefore, strengthening digital literacy and policies that support social media-based learning innovations is needed to create relevant, creative, and meaningful historical education in the digital era.
