Abstract

Nation image in the international league possess an urgent task, especially when a country is establishing a relationship and running a strategical errand across the world. United States is one of such country that has their diplomats towards numerous countries and it is important for them to build and maintain their image. This is done in order to maintain the authority order in other countries, such as Indonesia. Despite valuing human rights and freedom, United States of America’s reality is far from the claim. Several cases such as War on Terrorism has received many critics since the 9/11 tragedy. This phenomenon is not only considered a discrimination towards Muslim community across the globe, but also has taken numerous lives in the process. As the result, Indonesia’s perception towards the United States is gradually deteriorating over time, which leads to the US’ policy to build their first cultural center, fueled by state of the art technologies, named @america. This facility has proven to be a positive image for United States towards Indonesians, especially Muslims.

Abstract

Burnout is a major problem for private hospital nurses, impacting their mental health and the quality of healthcare. This phenomenon is characterized by a sense of emotional exhaustion, loss of personal sense, and decreased levels of personal achievement. The purpose of this study was to provide an overview of burnout, find its causes, and make recommendations on how to overcome burnout in private hospitals. The data shows that high workload, lack of managerial support, and unsupportive work environment are the main factors that cause about 35% to 54% of nurses to experience burnout symptoms. Nurse burnout impacts both patients and nurses as a whole. Consequently, to solve this problem, a comprehensive approach is required.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan antara motivasi, disiplin, dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan di Hotel XYZ, dengan menambahkan komitmen organisasi sebagai variabel mediasi.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada karyawan Hotel XYZ. Sampel dari penelitian ini sebanyak 52 karyawan dipilih menggunakan Teknik sampel jenuh atau sensus dan di analisis menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa motivasi, disiplin, dan lingkungan kerja memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap kinerja karyawan, dengan komitmen organisasi berperan sebagai variabel mediasi yang memperkuat hubungan tersebut. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mengenai pentingnya peningkatan faktor motivasi, disiplin, dan lingkungan kerja untuk meningkatkan kinerja karyawan di industri perhotelan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan antara motivasi, disiplin, lingkungan kerja, dan kinerja karyawan dalam konteks industri perhotelan, dengan komitmen organisasi sebagai variabel mediasi. Meskipun diharapkan komitmen organisasi dapat memperkuat hubungan antara variabel-variabel tersebut, hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa komitmen organisasi tidak berperan sebagai mediator yang signifikan dalam hubungan antara motivasi, disiplin, dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan. Temuan ini menyarankan bahwa faktor lain, selain komitmen organisasi, mungkin lebih berpengaruh dalam mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan di sektor ini. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam memperkaya literatur motivasi dan komitmen organisasi, serta membuka peluang untuk penelitian lebih lanjut guna memahami faktor-faktor yang lebih relevan dalam meningkatkan kinerja karyawan di industri perhotelan. This study aims to explore the relationship between motivation, discipline, and work environment on employee performance at Hotel XYZ, with organizational commitment as a mediating variable. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach, where data were collected through questionnaires distributed to employees of Hotel XYZ. While it was expected that organizational commitment would strengthen the relationships between these variables, the analysis results indicate that organizational commitment does not serve as a significant mediator in the relationship between motivation, discipline, and work environment on employee performance. These findings suggest that other factors, aside from organizational commitment, may have a greater impact on employee performance in this sector. This study makes a significant contribution to enriching the literature on motivation and organizational commitment, and opens avenues for further research to identify more relevant factors that influence employee performance in the hospitality industry.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study and analyze The Traditional Rights of the Ma’anyan Dayak Indigenous Society in Awang Sub Regency East Barito Regency which has not yet acquired recognition and protection and Analyzing The Legal Recognition and Protection of the Ma’anyan Dayak Indigenous Law Society when there is an event of legal actions occurs. This Research is Empirical Research which obtained through legal identification (Oral) in form of habits that are still valid in the Ma’ayan Dayak Indigenous Society unit in Awang Sub Regency East Barito Regency which is then analyzed using an objective and relevant theory about The Traditional Rights Indigenous Law Society, therefore accurate results can be discovered about types of rights analyze The Traditional Rights of the Ma’anyan Dayak Indigenous Society in Awang Sub Regency East Barito Regency which must be given recognition and protection. This Research concludes that The Traditional Rights of the Ma’anyan Dayak Indigenous Society in Awang Sub Regency have not been protected since the regional government of east barito regency until now has not implemented and follow up The Minister of Affairs Regulation Number 52 of 2014 and from the Decree the Governor of Central Kalimantan Number 188.44/360/2020 about establishment the Central Kalimantan Province. Legally, there has been legal recognition of the indigenous law society and traditional rights attached to The Traditional Rights of the Ma’anyan Dayak Indigenous Society in Awang Sub Regency, which is Article 18 B paragraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution, however, there has not been further regulated in form of legislation and the desired legal recognition is not just de jure, limited to limited verbal legal recognition which coming first from the indigenous society itself and the surrounding society, but demand on embodiment in the true sense. Therefore when there is an event of legal actions occurring over The Traditional Rights of the Ma’anyan Dayak Indigenous Society prefers to resolve legal actions outside the court with their mechanism to resolve legal actions that occur in their territory according to the customary law through deliberation and consensus. Therefore, the Regional Government of East Barito Regency is expected to form a regional regulation as legal protection for protecting the rights of indigenous society in the various development process, the rights of indigenous society are not ignored.
