Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hambatan yang dihadapi oleh mahasiswa Jurusan Administrasi Bisnis dalam menguasai kerampilan berbicara dalam bahasa Inggris (Speaking), mendiskripsikan penggunaan metode pembelajaran Cooperative Learning dan strategi yang dinggap menarik dan paling membantu mahasiswa jurusan Administrasi Bisnis dalam meningkatkan keterampilan Speaking mereka. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Politeknik Negeri Pontianak, Jurusan Administrasi Bisnis, program studi Administrasi Negara tahun akademik 2016-2017. Penelitian merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi dan wawancara kepada mahasiswa semester II. Hasil penelitian menunjukan Hambatan yang di alami mahasiswa berupa minimnya kosakata, pengetahuan mengenai struktur kalimat lemah, pelafalan (Pronounciation) yang buruk dan kurang percaya diri, kesemua informan memiliki pengetahuan mengenai metode pembelajaran CL. Pengetahuan ini menunjukkan adanya kejelasan metode yang dipakai untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

English speaking skill is an important communication skill and must be mastered by students to be able to interact actively, convey ideas and provide responses in both formal and informal situations. Alternative assessment provides benefits for students and teachers in improving students' speaking skill in English. This research focuses on an alternative assessment of English speaking skill in Vocational High Schools in Pontianak City, especially South Pontianak. The objectives of this research are (1) to determine problems related to the English speaking skill of vocational school students in South Pontianak, (2) to identify and analyze alternative assessments applied in overcoming the problems of English speaking skill of vocational school students in South Pontianak, and 3) to find a solution to the English speaking skill problems of vocational school students in South Pontianak by using alternative assessments. This research was a qualitative research, and data were collected from interviews with English teachers and documents analysis. Data were collected through interviews with English teachers at SMK in south Pontianak and analysis of related documents. The stages of data analysis include data reduction, display data, and conclusion drawing / verification. The results showed that the problems faced by students related to English speaking skill were limited ability of students caused by several factors, namely grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary and self-confidence. The alternative assessments that were applied include performance - assessment, peer - assessment and portfolio. The solutions taken were to involve students in providing assessments to other students and the teacher focuses on conveying information clearly and conveying the moral values that are learned without focusing too much on grammar. The suggestions that the researchers gave were in the form of matriculation for students in the early year of school, knowledge sharing between teachers, determining priority aspects of speaking that were assessed and implementing self-assessment as an additional form of alternative assessment that could motivate and encourage students to gradually improve their speaking skills in English.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the ability of scientific argumentation and how much influence the PBL learning model has on the scientific argumentation ability of students on environmental pollution material in class VII, 1st Junior High School Angkola Muaratais. This study uses a true experiment method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study were all students of class VII, with two samples, namely the experimental and control classes. There are two samples in this study, namely the experimental class and the control class. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. Randomly selected samples were from classes VII-A and VII-B. The research instrument used is a scientific argumentation ability test instrument using five essay questions. Analysis of the data used in this study was performed by performing an independent sample t-test and a Cohen's d test. The results of the pretest showed that the initial abilities of students in grades VII-A and VII-B were the same. Class VII-A was chosen as the experimental class, and Class VII-B was chosen as the control class. After that, treatment was given using the PBL learning model in the experimental class and conventional learning using the lecture and question and answer method in the control class. Based on the posttest results, it was found that the PBL learning model had a significant effect on the ability of scientific argumentation on environmental pollution material in class VII 1st Junior High School Angkola Muaratais with a value of tcount > ttable (3.828 > 1.684) using the independent sample t-test test. The influence of the PBL learning model on students' scientific argumentation skills is categorized as strong, with a Cohen's d value of 1.168. It can be concluded that the PBL learning model can have a significant influence on students' scientific argumentation skills and the effect obtained is strong.

Abstract

TPA has a goal to improve students' ability to read, write, understand and practice the Qur'an. At TPA Nurul Huda, which is located in Bendo Hamlet, RT 03, RW 04, Karanganyar Village/Sub-district, Ngawi Regency has a problem, namely the low memorization ability of students. This is caused by several factors, including the heterogeneity of children's ages between 5 and 12 years, unattractive media and teachers who have difficulty finding ways to improve children's ability to memorize the Qur'an. The purpose of this community service PKM activity is to provide solutions to the problems experienced by TPA Nurul Huda. The solution given is an animated video learning media called Al-Qur’an Memorization Animation. Service activities are carried out for 4 months starting from June to September 2021. The methods used in this service are socialization, training (implementation), mentoring, measurement, and regeneration. The result of this activity is that the children of TPA Nurul Huda experienced a significant increase in memorizing the Qur'an as indicated by the pretest and posttest assessments.

Abstract

Corona Virus Disease 2019 atau COVID-19 adalah penyakit baru yang disebabkan oleh infeksi virus Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-COV-2). Penularan covid-19 dapat terjadi dari orang ke orang melalui droplet pernapasan dari batuk dan bersin. Kejadian covid-19 di Indonesia semakin meningkat terkhusus di Desa Loeha Kec.Towuti Kab.Luwu Timur Prov.Sulawesi Selatan yang menempati posisi pertama sebanyak 48 kasus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan, sikap, dan tindakan dengan kejadian covid-19 di Desa Loeha Kec.Towuti Kab.Luwu Timur Prov.Sulawesi Selatan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional study. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah masyarakat di Desa Loeha Kec.Towuti Kab.Luwu Timur Prov.Sulawesi Selatan sebanyak 630 jiwa dengan jumlah sampel 245 responden. Hasil peneltian ini diperoleh bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara variabel pengetahuan (p = 0,000), sikap (p = 0,001), tindakan (p = 0,000) dengan kejadian covid-19 di Desa Loeha Kec.Towuti Kab.Luwu Tmur Prov.Sulawesi Selatan. Upaya Pencegahan dan memutus mata rantai penyebaran covid-19 dapat dilakukan dengan meningkatkan pengetahuan mengenai covid-19, mendorong masyarakat bertindak baik dalam mematuhi prokes dan hinbauan pemerintang mengenai pencegahan dan memutus mata rantai penyebaran covid-19.

Abstract

Daun miana (Coleus scutellarioides (L) benth) yang memiliki corak ungu kemerahan mengindifikasikan terdapat antosianin, salah satu variannya yaitu crispa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji zat warna antosianin pada sari daun miana sebagai pengganti gentian violet pada pewarnaan gram, Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimental/eksperimen. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah sari daun miana (Coleus scutellarioides (L) benth) mampu sebagai bahan alternatif pengganti reagen gentian violet pada bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Dan pada penelitian ini dilakukan perasan sari daun miana (Coleus scutellarioides (L) benth). sampel bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dibuat sediaan preparat dan pewarnaan menggunakan gentian violet sebagai bahan kontrol dan menggunakan sari daun miana (Coleus scutellarioides (L) benth) sebagai eksperimen menggunakan konsentrasi sari daun miana yaitu 1%, 0,1% dan juga 0,5%. Data yang diperoleh diolah mengggunakan analisa data deskriftif. Hasil penelitian pada sari daun miana sari konsentrasi 1%, dan 0,1% mampu mewarnai bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dibandingan dengan konsentrasi 0,5%. Penelitian ini dapat juga dikembangkan dengan uji coba pada daun lain yang memiliki kandungan antosianin dan perlu juga melalukan konsentrasi yang lebih tinggi atau pun menggunakan metode yang lain.

Abstract

Kabupaten Sambas di Kalimantan Barat dikenal kaya akan potensi wisata, termasuk Desa Temajuk yang telah ditetapkan sebagai desa wisata pada 2021. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengembangan pariwisata di Desa Temajuk, menyoroti keterlibatan dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan pengawasan. Metode kualitatif digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat aktif terlibat dalam perencanaan dan pelaksanaan, tetapi kurang dalam pengawasan. Keterlibatan masyarakat membantu meningkatkan rasa kepemilikan dan tanggung jawab, meskipun ada tantangan dalam akses informasi dan infrastruktur. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa partisipasi aktif masyarakat sangat penting untuk keberhasilan pengembangan desa wisata dan perlu ditingkatkan dalam aspek pengawasan untuk memastikan manfaat yang lebih besar bagi komunitas lokal.
