Abstract

Urgensi dalam penelitian ini yaitu rendahnya kemampuan retensi siswa sekolah dasar dalam memahami materi pelajaran, khususnya tema Be on Time, sehingga perlunya inovasi media pembelajaran yang interaktif dan sesuai dengan karakteristik anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh media pembelajaran interaktif berupa kartu edukatif terhadap kemampuan retensi siswa kelas IV di UPT SD Negeri Sinar Mulyo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experimental tipe One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 23 siswa kelas IV diambil menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh, yaitu seluruh populasi dijadikan sampel karena jumlahnya terbatas. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, serta dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk dan uji paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata nilai pre-test sebesar 52,96 meningkat menjadi 81,52 pada post-test, dengan selisih 28,57 poin. Data berdistribusi normal, ditunjukkan oleh nilai signifikansi pretest (0,922) dan posttest (0,994). Uji paired sample t-test menghasilkan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) < 0,001, yang menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan penggunaan kartu edukatif terhadap retensi siswa. Hasil temuan ini menyimpulkan bahwa media kartu edukatif efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan retensi siswa dalam memahami materi. Penggunaan media ini direkomendasikan sebagai strategi pembelajaran alternatif di sekolah dasar

Abstract

Students with math learning difficulties often make mistakes when learning to count and when trying to solve story problems. Students frequently experience difficulties when working on problems because they are not able to understand the meaning of the problem and become confused about using arithmetic operations. The purpose of this study is to identify the various kinds of numeracy learning challenges experienced by students, the factors that contribute to these challenges, and the strategies that can be used to overcome math learning challenges in grades IV and V of Sukosari Elementary School. This research method uses descriptive qualitative. The subjects of the study were 10 students in grades IV and V, as well as teachers in grades IV and V. The data collection procedures used were observation, interviews, test techniques and documentation. The results showed that there are several student learning difficulties such as understanding concepts, understanding mathematical language and numeracy skills are some of the challenges of learning mathematics. Furthermore, there are several factors that influence learning difficulties, namely internal and external factors. Students' attitudes and low interest in learning are the main causes of their learning challenges are internal factors. Lack of diversity in teachers' teaching, lack of utilization of learning resources, parents' concern, school infrastructure, and students' lack of sensory ability are examples of external influences that come from outside students. Abstract

This descriptive-qualitative study aims to discover factors that influence students' difficulties in solving non-routine problems. The researchers employed open-ended questions that had previously been developed by researchers, ensuring that they were valid, practical, and had potential effects. The researchers brought up this topic because non-routine questions can help students improve their mathematical skills. The study's approach consisted of three stages: preparation, implementation, and data analysis. The research subjects were 31 eighth-grade students from one of Belitang's junior high schools. Data was gathered through observation, interviews, and testing. Observation was utilized to collect data on the learning process, while interviews were used to understand more profoundly and directly about students' difficulties in addressing non-routine tasks. The test was then administered to assess students' ability to solve non-routine tasks. The data was evaluated qualitatively using descriptive analysis. Based on observation and interview data, several factors contributed to students' difficulty in solving non-routine problems, including the fact that students had never worked on non-routine problems during the learning process in class, and the teacher's book only contained routine problems. In relation to the foregoing, the exam results show that students' ability to solve non-routine problems remains poor, with as many as 58.07% receiving poor grades, 19.35% receiving moderate grades, and only 22.58% receiving good grades. With this research, it is envisaged that teachers will assign numerous non-routine tasks in class in the future, allowing students' mathematical abilities to be thoroughly developed.

Abstract

Soal cerita dalam pembelajaran matematika memiliki kesulitan tersendiri karena memerlukan pemahaman mendalam yang tidak hanya terhadap konsep matematika tetapi juga informasi yang disajikan dalam konteks dan dalam format naratif. Padahal pembelajaran matematika dapat berguna dalam kehidupan sehari hari. Penyelesaian permasalahan matematika dalam kehidupan sehari hari biasanya disajikan dalam bentuk soal cerita. Oleh karenya penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika pecahan dan strategi guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif-deskriptif. Sample penelitian ditentukan menggunakan teknik non-random sampling Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan tes. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa kesulitan siswa kelas III SD Negeri Siderejo dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika materi pecahan adalah disebabkan oleh konsep cerita pada materi pecahan matematika yang masih bersifat abstrak, sehingga apabila siswa tidak memiliki kemampuan membaca dan memahami teks maka siswa tersebut sangat kesulitan dalam memahami maksud dari soal cerita yang disajikan. Dengan demikian guru menerapkan strategi berupa penggunaan alat bantu visual dalam bentuk gambar, diagram atau benda konkret agar siswa lebih mudah dalam memahami maksud yang terdapat pada teks soal cerita pecahan matematika.
