Abstract

STEM education is critical in current teaching because it combines science, technology, engineering, and mathematics into a unified learning experience. STEM education focuses on educating students for the changing profession by developing critical thinking and problem-solving abilities while also addressing gender inequalities in STEM disciplines. Robotics, an important component of STEM education, provides hands-on learning experiences that pique students' curiosity and practical application of STEM principles. To overcome the scarcity of talented individuals in STEM industries, educators must get STEM and robotics training. This publication describes a STEM-Robotics training program meant to help science instructors incorporate robotics into their teaching techniques. The program seeks to improve instructors' robotics education skills, create new teaching techniques, bridge theory and practice, and improve student engagement and learning results. By combining hands-on robotics activities into the curriculum, the program hopes to foster dynamic learning settings that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving abilities. This book describes the STEM-Robotics training program's rationale, organization, aims, and expected impact, emphasizing its importance in educating students for future employment in technology, engineering, and other STEM-related disciplines.

Abstract

This study aims to develop coding-based learning media to improve the beginning writing skills of elementary school students, especially grades 1 and 2. The background of this study is the low basic writing skills of students and the limited use of technology in writing learning. The study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of the study were grades 1 and 2 elementary school students and teachers involved in the limited trial. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and writing skills tests in the form of pre-tests and post-tests. The results of the study indicate that the developed coding-based learning media has interactive features, direct feedback, video tutorials, and gradual writing exercises starting from bolding lines, letters, syllables, to simple sentences. The media trial showed an increase in students' beginning writing skills, both in letter writing accuracy, neatness, use of spacing, and the ability to construct simple sentences. In addition, students became more motivated, active, and confident in participating in learning. Thus, coding-based learning media is declared effective and suitable for use as a learning innovation to support the improvement of beginning writing skills in elementary schools.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh media gambar fotografi human interest terhadap keteramapilan menulis cerpen siswa kelas XI SMA At-Taqwa Bekasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode eksperimen (true experimental design), OneGroup Pretest-Posttest Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI di SMA At-Taqwa Bekasi dengan sampel penelitian kelas XI yang berjumlah 15 siswa. Rata-rata nilai prates sebesar 60,75 dan rata-rata nilai pascates yang sebesar 82.33. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis dengan uji-t, menunjukkan data prates dan pascates pada kelas eksperimen memiliki thitung sebesar 6,341 dan ttabel sebesar 2,144. Dengan demikian, terdapat pengaruh media gambar fotografi human interest terhadap keteramapilan menulis cerpen siswa kelas XI SMA At-Taqwa. Adanya pengaruh tersebut terlihat pada kenaikan nilai per aspeknya, seperti aspek struktur dan ciri kebahasaan, hal ini karena media gambar fotografi human interest yang menekankan pada kegiatan manusia sehari-hari yang sering ditemui oleh siswa sehingga siswa mampu mengembangkan imajinasinya dalam menentukan tema atau judul dari teks cerpen yang akan ditulis. Media gambar fotografi human interest ini menjadi salah satu solusi dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Pemanfaatnnya bukan hanya untuk materi teks cerita pendek, tetapi juga bisa diimplikasikan dengan materi teks lain. Salah satunya materi teks berita.
