Abstract

Water for humans is of course a very important thing, moreover around 55-60 percent of the adult body weight consists of water. Therefore, we really need water for survival so that the body works optimally. Even though the earth has an abundant water content, in fact there is only about 0.3 percent that can be used by humans. the need for clean water is becoming scarce, therefore water purification becomes indispensable and becomes an alternative to the scarcity of clean water. PKM partners use well water as water for bathing, washing, watering and other purposes. Well water is pumped into the reservoir. Sometimes the well water is cloudy, so it's not comfortable when you want to use it. In simple terms, water purification functions to reduce turbidity, slightly eliminate or reduce odors, but has not been able to reduce the levels of pollutants in it to make it suitable for its final use, for example for consumption purposes such as drinking, cooking and others. The end result of using this simple water filter is water that looks clearer, making it suitable for use for bathing, washing, watering plants and other purposes.

Abstract

Servis motor dapat menjadi salah satu peluang usaha yang dapat dikembangkan karena perolehan keuntungannya yang menjanjikan, terutama jika letak usaha berada di daerah yang padat penduduk dan di pinggir jalan yang banyak dilalui kendaraan bermotor. Apalagi jika aktivitas warganya sangat tinggi sehingga tidak ada kesempatan pergi ke bengkel resmi yang jaraknya juga jauh. Maka bengkel servis tersebut menjadi satu-satunya pilihan. Diperlukan beberapa strategi untuk mendukung kelancaran usaha tersebut. Keberhasilan usaha servis motor tergantung pada aspek baik teknis maupun manajemen. Mitra kegiatan PKM ini adalah para pemuda yang tergabung dalam organisasi karang taruna. Usaha servis motor tersebut dilaksanakan berdasarkan pengalaman seadanya tanpa adanya pengetahuan dan perencanaan yang memadai. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan diskusi dengan kedua mitra terdapat beberapa masalah yang dihadapi baik dalam proses pemilihan peralatan, desain usaha, proses eksekusi servis motor maupun pemasaran. Belum adanya pengetahuan manajemen yang memadai dan hal-hal penting yang harus diperhatikan dalam menjalankan usaha mulai dari perencanaan sampai dengan pengawasan. Masalah selanjutnya adalah manajemen keuangan yang belum rapi, dimana masih campuraduk antara uang hasil usaha dengan uang pribadi. Solusi yang diusulkan atau ditawarkan dalam kegiatan PKM ini adalah sebagai berikut: 1. Aspek teknis: a. membuat panduan model mengenai manajemen mutu baik dalam proses pemilihan alat dan bahan serta proses servis motor; b. mengaplikasikan teknologi servis motor dengan peralatan yang lebih canggih dibandingkan dengan cara konvensional. 2. Aspek manajemen: memberikan pelatihan manajemen bisnis/usaha meliputi perencanaan sampai pengendalian baik dalam aspek teknis ataupun manajemen. 3. Aspek kenyamanan dan kepuasan pelanggan: memberikan strategi kenyamanan dan kepuasan kepada pelanggan ketika melakukan servis motor, sehingga pelanggan memutuskan tempat usaha tersebut menjadi satu-satunya pilihan, dan bahkan membantu menarik calon pelanggan lainnya.

Abstract

The implementation of this activity is related to the application of the benefits of science related to welding techniques. Through this community service activity, it is targeted to provide benefits for youth who are members of youth organizations by carrying out welding training. The training provided is welding technical guidance by providing material, discussion questions and answers and practicing welding examples.

Abstract

Hastealloy-C276 is an austenitic nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy with small amounts of tungsten added. This material is quite familiar and is used in various industrial components. However, this alloy, like other types, is very susceptible to corrosion due to the influence of chloride ions in solution. The corrosion resistance of steel alloy materials was investigated using electrochemical methods including open circuit potential (OCP), Anodic Potentiodyamic (AP) with and Tafel in NaCl solution media. The test parameters carried out were chloride concentration (0.001 M-1M) and pH (2, 7 and 10) values. The test results show that an increase in chloride ion concentration causes a decrease in the OCP value in a negative direction, which indicates a tendency for decreasing of the corrosion resistance for C276. The AP test results show that the pitting potential (Epit) value slowly decreases as the chloride ion concentration increases up to 1 M. On the other hand, the role of pH is very important in changing the corrosion resistance performance. A decrease in pH to 2 causes an increase in the corrosion rate of the material, whereas an increase in pH causes this decrease.

Abstract

The effect of various chloride ion concentration (0 %, 1 %, 2 %, 3%, 4% and 5 % NaCl solution) on the corrosion behavior of the C1100 copper alloy was investigated with the immersion test (weight loss method). The effect of various immersion periods was also examined up to 14 days. After conducting immersion test, metal surfaces were observed with an optical microscope and the SEM analysis. The product of corroded copper was characterized using Energy Dispersive Analysis of X-rays (EDAX). On the basis of results, the magnitude of corrosion rate is higher in increasing the chloride concentration and immersion period, respectively. The increase of chloride concentration causes the copper oxide layer to become porous and cracked compared to without chloride addition. The reduction in the integrity of the copper protective layer took place due the presence of chloride ion.
