Abstract

The location of the research carried out in writing the journal here is PDAM Surya Sembada, Surabaya City. PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya City is one of the companies owned by the Regional Government (PEMDA) whose role is in processing and providing clean water to serve the people of Surabaya city, taking raw water taken from the Jagir River to then be processed and then distributed to customers. At this time the machines that are used operationally at PDAM are fairly old and therefore machines often experience damage problems. One of the methods used to anticipate problems in this case is the FMEA method. This method is used to anticipate an small problems before big problems. The steps used in this method include processing damage data in 2021, identifying the type of damage, results of the identification process and finally conclusions and suggestions. The data collection process is obtained from the results of observations and interviews or discussions with related parties between managers, supervisors and maintenance staff.

Abstract

Water is essential for development and growth, benefiting both humans and other living organisms. Clean water scarcity is a common issue, leading to a crisis as demand grows. Polluted water consumption can cause health problems like diarrhea, cholera, polio, and poisoning. Diarrhea, often linked to water pollution, can lead to dehydration and death, especially in children, while poisoning can cause anemia, hypertension, and nervous system issues. To address this, effective water treatment is necessary, and filtration is an affordable, accessible option. While activated carbon is commonly used, it is expensive. This study shows that sand and clay are effective for treating contaminated water, achieving 95% pH normalization and meeting the required standards.

Abstract

PT. Japfa Comfeed Indonesia, Tbk is an animal feed company that uses corn as its primary raw material. The company enforces strict management to ensure high-quality feed production. Procurement focuses on corn quality before purchase, followed by comprehensive quality control. This study uses the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to analyze inventory management at PT. Japfa Comfeed Indonesia, Tbk. The research examines current practices, models a raw material management system, and suggests improvements in planning and control. The aim is to optimize production processes and reduce inventory costs using EOQ. The results show that applying EOQ leads to a larger order quantity (6,957,354 kg) compared to the current order quantity (1,705,051 kg), with fewer annual orders (3 versus 12). Additionally, using EOQ reduces ordering costs from Rp. 318,000,000 to Rp. 79,500,000, demonstrating improved inventory efficiency and enhanced production planning.

Abstract

PPSDM Migas Cepu is one of the industries engaged in Human Resource Development in the Oil and Gas sector. Based on the Regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 13 of 2016, concerning the Organization and Work Procedures of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the organizational structure of the Oil and Gas PPSDM is divided into 3 areas, namely the planning and standardization field, the program and evaluation field and the implementation and infrastructure sector as well as from the administrative side assisted by the administrative section. . In the water treatment plant, PLC is used for control. The purpose of waste treatment is to prevent and overcome pollution and/or environmental damage caused by B3 waste and to restore the quality of the polluted environment so that it is in accordance with its function. Waste is waste whose presence at a certain time and place is not desired by the environment because it has no economic value. Waste contains contaminants that are toxic and dangerous. This waste is known as B3 waste (toxic and hazardous materials). This material is formulated as a material in relatively small quantities but has the potential to pollute/damage the environment and resources. From the results of the research conducted, it is found that the control system with a fast process using the Proportional + Integral (PI) controller mode is preferred considering that the system response is more stable to reach the setpoint. Also, if using HMI can make it easier to observe the simulation, when the on button is pressed, the system will run and the tank of substances will start to decrease. The decrease in the value of the substance tank is influenced by the mixing value, and in the above simulation, the working Dukem substance tank is shown in the red simulation pipe.

Abstract

Work-related injuries are a potential risk, including in aluminum cutting activities within UMKM producing household goods made from aluminum and glass. Assessing ergonomic postures is crucial to prevent Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). This study utilized the Nordic Body Map (NBM) and Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) methods to analyze posture data. NBM focuses on identifying ergonomic variables affecting posture, while REBA evaluates the injury risk level of specific postures. The findings show that combining NBM and REBA effectively identifies high-risk postures with accuracy and highlights which body parts require follow-up. This approach proves to be effective in enhancing occupational health and safety. Applying these methods helps business owners detect and minimize ergonomic risks, contributing to improved worker safety, comfort, and well-being.
