Abstract

Baduanjin exercise has an influence on cardiovascular system and stress which often occurs in stroke risk group. However, the pandemic condition limited nurses to provide education to them. Thus, the audio-visual educational media of Baduanjin exercise was created as an alternative for providing remote education. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of audio-visual educational media on the knowledge of stroke warning signs in stroke risk group. This research used a quasi-experimental approach and a one group pre-posttest design involving 47 respondents. The stroke risk group was identified based on stroke risk factors, followed by pre-test measurements. The used instrument contained of 12 items of stroke symptoms. The paired t-test was used to measure differences in knowledge scores of stroke risk group. The respondents received a link to educational materials that can be accessed anywhere without the need for face-to-face contact. The pre and posttest scores were analyzed using paired t-test and showed that there was a significant difference in the mean of knowledge of the stroke risk group before and after getting Baduanjin exercise audio-visual educational media (p value<0.000). Audio-visual educational media had a significant influence on the knowledge scores of the stroke risk group. The method of providing virtual education can be an alternative for nurses during the pandemic so that nurses can still carry out their role as educators.

Abstract

Background: Every situation that occurs in the ICU, whether in critical conditions or life-threatening conditions, can make the patient's family feel anxious. A combination of natural relaxation sounds and deep breathing relaxation is one of the non-pharmacological therapies that could help reduce anxiety Purpose: Understanding the effect of the combination of natural relaxation sounds and deep breathing relaxation reduces anxiety among families of patients in the waiting room at RSUD'S ICU of Ulin Banjarmasin Methods: With a quasi-experimental pre and post-test without control design using consecutive sampling techniques involving 29 respondent families of patients in the ICU waiting room, the questionnaire utilized the HARS (Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale). Bivariate analysis employed the Wilcoxon Test to analyze the impact before and after the intervention was administered Result: In the data analysis, a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) was obtained, with Ha accepted, indicating the combination of natural relaxation sounds and deep breathing relaxation can reduce the anxiety levels among families of patients in the waiting room at RSUD'S ICU of Ulin Banjarmasin Implication: The decrease in the anxiety levels among families of patients before and after the intervention with natural relaxation sounds and deep breathing went from severe anxiety (63.3%) to mild anxiety (53.3%). The research results indicated that 10 respondents experienced a decrease in scores of more than 10 points. Therefore, this intervention can be utilized.

Abstract

Bahaya narkoba sudah menjadi momok yang menakutkan bagi masyarakat. Masa remaja para pelajar atau siswa sangat rawan terkena dampak ancaman bahaya penyalahgunaan NAPZA dikarenakan anak remaja mempunyai keingin tahuan yang besar sehingga mereka akan terus mencari tahu tentang NAPZA tersebut, serta mempunyai kapasitas untuk menggunakan narkotika. Tujuan pelaksanaan adalah memberikan pemahaman kepada remaja mengenai NAPZA dan bahaya penyalahgunaannya. Metode pelaksanaan adalah melakukan promosi kesehatan bahaya penyalahgunaan NAPZA dan skrining ASSIST (Alcohol, Smoking, Substance Use Involvement Screening & Testing) pada pelajar di SMA 7 Pasundan Kota Bandung dan SMK MVP ARS Internasional. Adanya peningkatan pemahaman pelajar mengenai NAPZA dan bahaya penyalahgunaannya. Dari hasil skrining ASSIST didapatkan sebagaian besar pelajar memiliki riwayat merokok. Kegiatan promosi kesehatan seperti penyuluhan merupakan salah satu alternatif yang cukup efektif dalam memberikan pemahaman bahaya penyalahgunaan narkoba

Abstract

Objective: This study aimed to examine the effect of a virtual education intervention using video on learning intention among undergraduate nursing students. Methods: A quasi-experimental study with a two-group pretest-posttest design was conducted involving 60 undergraduate nursing students. Participants were selected using a convenience sampling method and divided equally into intervention and control groups (30 students each). Learning intention was measured using the Attention, Relevance, Confidence, Satisfaction (ARCS) scale. Data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test to determine differences in learning intention before and after the intervention. Results: A total of 60 students participated, with a mean age of 20 years (SD ± 6.56), and 84% were female. The mean learning intention score in the intervention group increased significantly from 118.63 (SD ± 9.14) before the intervention to 132.77 (SD ± 7.91) after the intervention. The difference was statistically significant (t = 0.000, p < 0.05), indicating a positive impact of the virtual education program using video on students’ motivation and intention to learn. Conclusion: The use of video-based virtual education demonstrates potential as an effective strategy to enhance learning intention among nursing students. Given its promising results, this approach could be integrated into nursing education to support student engagement and motivation. However, future research should adopt more rigorous experimental designs and larger, more diverse samples to validate and generalize these findings.

Abstract

Keamanan dan kewaspadaan obat merupakan bagian integral dari upaya meningkatkan keselamatan pasien dalam sistem pelayanan kesehatan. Kesalahan dalam penggunaan obat, baik berupa kesalahan dosis, kesalahan jenis obat, atau kelalaian administrasi lainnya, berpotensi menimbulkan risiko yang signifikan bagi keselamatan pasien. Diskusi refleksi kasus memungkinkan perawat untuk merenungkan pengalaman mereka dalam menangani kasus-kasus yang berkaitan dengan pemberian obat. Melalui diskusi ini, perawat dapat mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesalahan obat serta mencari solusi untuk mencegahnya di masa depan sehingga harapannya dapat meningkatkan kepatuhan perawat. Kepatuhan perawat terhadap Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) dalam pelaksanaan tindakan keperawatan di rumah sakit masih rendah. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kepatuhan perawat dalan keamanan dan kewaspadaan obat. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa meskipun perawat memahami pentingnya SOP, kepatuhan mereka sering terhambat oleh faktor-faktor seperti beban kerja yang tinggi, kurangnya supervisi, komunikasi yang terbatas, dan ketidakjelasan dalam penerapan prosedur. Penelitian ini menekankan perlunya peningkatan pelatihan berkelanjutan, penguatan komunikasi tim medis, serta evaluasi dan pemantauan yang lebih ketat untuk memastikan kepatuhan perawat terhadap SOP tindakan, untuk meningkatkan keselamatan pasien dan kualitas perawatan yang diberikan.

Abstract

Stunting di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sawah Lega merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang kompleks, dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor termasuk pola asuh, kondisi ekonomi, dan akses terhadap layanan kesehatan. Meskipun terdapat upaya yang signifikan untuk mengatasi masalah ini melalui program-program intervensi, tantangan tetap ada dalam mencapai hasil yang optimal. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya kolaborasi untuk meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya gizi dan pola asuh yang baik demi masa depan anak-anak di wilayah tersebut. Solusi yang ditawarkan untuk permasalahan prioritas tersebut adalah Intervensi interprofesional kolaboratif  (IPC) tenaga Kesehatan dengan Kader melalui pendekatan Case Management. Kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi Identifikasi bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengetahuan kader dan keterampilan komunikasi kader. 2) Perencanaan yang bertujuan menyusun perencanaan sesuai kebutuhan kader meliputi Pelatihan dan pembinaan bagi kader dan Pendampingan serta pembinaan kader, 3) Implementasi, yaitu menyelenggarakan pelatihan penguatan pengetahuan kader tentang stunting dan melakukan pendampingan oleh tenaga Kesehatan, 4) Evaluasi. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan untuk kegiatan kolaborasi ini menggunakan pendekatan case management. Peningkatan pengetahuan kader tentang pencegahan, penanganan, dan pengendalian stunting dapat dilihat dari perbedaan nilai rat-rata pre-test dan post test. Nilai rata-rata pengetahuan pre test adalah 77,72  sedangkan untuk nilai rata-rata post-test adalah 82,5. Kegiatan IPC ini dapat dilakukan secara berkala dan berkesinambungan sebagai bentuk dukungan bagi kader dan wujud tanggung jawab seluruh pihak dalam mewujudkan Masyarakat bebas stunting.
