Abstract

As a documentary institution, museums within tertiary institutions have the potential to support and be supported by various scientific fields. This study aims to map the potential of museums in line with the Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) and find out scientific collaborations that can strengthen the existence of museums in tertiary institutions in the context of MBKM. This study used a qualitative approach, using data collection techniques in the form of observation, literature review, and in-depth interviews with three supporting informants and one key informant. The study found that the higher education museum has great potential and fulfills all the requirements as an MBKM partner. Museums can be partners for internships, entrepreneurial projects, technology projects, social engineering applications, and even humanitarian projects. Museums can collaborate in informal educational activities, exchange of experts, teaching practitioners, research, and community service, all of which can involve lecturers and students from various fields of science.

Abstract

Indonesian Language for non-native speakers is generally taught through formal schools with comprehensive learning facilities and professional teachers. Indonesian language lessons for non-native speakers are not entirely intended for foreign citizens but are also needed by Indonesian citizens who have lived for generations outside Indonesia. As a result, they need to relearn Indonesian language and culture. Kursus Pengetahuan Dasar Indonesia (KPDI) Davao, Philippines is a program created by the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in the Davao working area which aims to Indonesianize Indonesian descendants spread across the Davao region, Philippines. However, this program did not run optimally due to the lack of professional teachers and adequate learning facilities. Despite efforts by the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Davao to provide modules for teachers or instructors and implement monitoring and evaluation programs to ensure the learning is ongoing. This research aims to provide input on nature-based learning designs that can be implemented easily and efficiently by instructors to help improve students' vocabulary and communication skills at Kursus Pengetahuan Dasar Indonesia (KPDI) in Davao, Mindanao, Philippines. Using a qualitative approach, data collection was carried out through interviews, observation, and literature studies. The results of the research show the importance of improving modules, mentoring and providing direction to teachers to design learning methods with students-based learning approaches.

Abstract

Cases of sexual violence are quite common in the higher education environment. In early 2023, as part of the implementation of Permendikbudristek No. 30 of 2021, which is also a "mandatory" program in all tertiary institutions in Indonesia, the University of Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya (Ubharajaya) has formed a Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (Satgas PPKS). In order to formulate the right program to create Kampus Merdeka from Sexual Violence, the PPKS Task Force needs to know in advance how far the Ubharajaya academic community knows and understands about sexual violence in their campus environment. Because of that, research was conducted on the knowledge of Ubharajaya academics regarding sexual violence. This type of research is quantitative using a descriptive method with a population of all Ubharajaya lecturers and students from 7 faculties on the Ubharajaya Campus, Summarecon Bekasi, who are still actively teaching and learning in 2023. From this population, 310 samples were taken, consisting of 29 lecturers and 281 students, through stratification techniques. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires made in Google Forms, which can be accessed through the WhatsApp (WA) application. The results of the study show that Ubharajaya academics in general have relatively good knowledge about sexual violence as well as its forms and methods of prevention. However, when studied in more depth based on the gender, profession, and faculty of origin of the respondents, there are interesting findings that need to be followed up in more comprehensive and integrative research.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan digital storytelling yang dilakukan oleh akun TikTok @kuliner_bks sebagai penyedia jasa paid promote dalam kegiatan promosi kuliner Bekasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis model AISAS. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, akun TikTok @kuliner_bks sebagai penyedia jasa paid promote menggunakan penerapan digital storytelling dalam promosi produknya dimulai dari pemilihan nama, logo, talent, dan narasi. Ditinjau melalui model AISAS, penerapan digital storytelling akun TikTok @kuliner_bks menjadi daya tarik bagi tenant (client) yang akhirnya melakukan kerja sama dengan akun TikTok @kuliner_bks.

Abstract

Laporan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pelaksanaan program penguatan kewirausahaan dan pengembangan usaha kepada siswa/siswi di SMKN 5 Kota Bekasi. Dalam program ini akan disampaikan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan dukungan yang diperlukan untuk mendorong pertumbuhan dan keberhasilan usaha di kalangan siswa/siswi SMKN 5 Kota Bekasi. Melalui serangkaian simulasi serta bimbingan, kami berharap dapat memberdayakan individu-individu dalam komunitas untuk menjadi pengusaha yang sukses dan berkontribusi pada pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal. Melalui upaya simulasi dan bimbingan ini, kami yakin bahwa siswa/siswi akan dapat mengidentifikasi potensi mereka, mengembangkan ide bisnis, menciptakan lapangan kerja, dan mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

In the digital era, museums need creatively packaged attractions to enhance cultural literacy and increase young people’s interest in visiting. Creating targeted attractions requires collaboration between museums and various stakeholders. Such collaborative attractions can be developed through a community service program that combines literacy, gamification, and digital campaigns with a social marketing approach. This community service activity aims to promote museums within the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) through the Jejak Langkah Sejarah: Berpetualang dengan Paspor Museum program. The implementation involves two methods. The first is a participatory approach, which directly involves the community in the entire process, from problem identification, planning, and implementation to evaluation. This participatory collaboration engages communities, academics, and cultural influencers and is designed in the form of interactive challenges at three TMII museums. The collaboration also includes pre-event activities such as promotion and coordination. The second method is research-based, integrating the results of previous museum research conducted by Komunitas Jelajah into the design of the community service program. The results show that meaningful experiences—marked by high participant enthusiasm and a positive perception of museums as enjoyable and educational spaces—can encourage repeat visits. The social marketing approach in this activity successfully creates a value exchange between cultural experiences and the engagement of young audiences.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The definition of a document has changed quite significantly over time. The meaning of document has become increasingly widespread, not only for inanimate two- and three-dimensional objects but also includes living three-dimensional objects. In 1992 Blasius Sudarsono formulated an axiom which initially aimed to explain the library phenomenon from the perspective of Communication Science. This axiom is now used by Sudarsono as the axiom of "Document Theory and Documentation Activities" (Documentation). This research uses a qualitative approach and aims to explore document phenomena in the realm of Communication Science based on Sudarsono's axioms. Data collection was carried out through an in-depth interview with a key informant named Blasius Sudarsono. To enrich the data, literature studies, observations, and documentation were also carried out. Interviews and observations were carried out during the process of making the book as well as socializing Blasius Sudarsono's thoughts in the ‘Bincang Senang Kepustakawanan ‘forum to various stakeholders in the 2015-2016 period. The research results show that there is an intersection between the concepts of Documents, New Documentation Science, and Communication Science. From the perspective of communication science, the meaning of objects in the world is influenced by the knowledge and experience of each human being. Any object is considered a document as long as humans interpret it as a document, especially if the object fulfills the aspects of a document, namely: indexicality, plurality, fixity, documentality, and productivity. Humans often get caught up in differences in communication symbols, however, the most important thing is the substance, the meaning.   ABSTRAK Definisi dokumen mengalami perubahan yang cukup signifikan. Saat ini pengertian dokumen pun menjadi semakin meluas, tidak hanya pada objek mati dua dan tiga dimensi, namun mencakup juga objek hidup tiga dimensi. Pada tahun 1992 Blasius Sudarsono merumuskan sebuah aksioma yang awalnya bertujuan menjelaskan fenomena perpustakaan dalam sudut ilmu komunikasi. Aksioma tersebut kini digunakan Sudarsono sebagai aksioma “Teori Dokumen dan Kegiatan Dokumentasi” (Kedokumentasian). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan bertujuan mengeksplorasi fenomena dokumen dalam ranah ilmu komunikasi berdasarkan aksioma Sudarsono. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan informan kunci bernama Blasius Sudarsono. Untuk memperkaya data dilakukan pula studi literatur, observasi dan dokumentasi. Wawancara dan observasi dilakukan selama proses pembuatan buku serta sosialisasi pemikiran Blasius Sudarsono dalam forum Bincang Senang Kepustakawanan kepada beragam stakeholder pada kurun waktu 2015-2016. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat irisan antara konsep Dokumen, Ilmu Dokumentasi Baru dengan Ilmu Komunikasi. Dalam perspektif ilmu komunikasi, makna terhadap objek di dunia dipengaruhi oleh pengetahuan dan pengalaman setiap manusia. Objek apapun selama manusia memaknainya sebagai dokumen, dapat dikatakan sebagai dokumen, terutama apabila objek tersebut memenuhi aspek-aspek dokumen, yaitu indexicality, plurality, fixity, documentality, productivity. Manusia seringkali terjebak pada perbedaan simbol atau lambang komunikasinya, padahal yang terpenting adalah substansi, yaitu pemaknaan.
