Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine whether psychological well-being and work life balance are related to work engagement in employees. The population in this study were employees in Surabaya City. The sample size for this study was 287 people, as determined by the Isaac and Michael table, with an error rate of 10%. The approach used is quantitative correlational, with simple random sampling technique. The measurement tools used were the Scale of Psychological Well-being (SPWB) (18 items), the Work/Nonwork Interference and Enhancement Scale (17 items), and the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) (17 items) to measure work engagement. The results of this study include multiple linear regression, t-test, variable means, and effective contribution. The results showed that psychological well-being and work life balance significantly increased work engagement (F = 52.664; r = 0.520; R Square = 0.271; P < 0.000). Psychological well-being and work life balance can be used as techniques for employees to build and improve employees' work engagement with the company and their work

Abstract

This study examines the design of an Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum that promotes religious moderation in the digital era through a comprehensive literature review. The research aims to explore theoretical foundations, principles, and practical approaches for integrating religious moderation values into the PAI curriculum while addressing the challenges and opportunities presented by technological advancements. Using a qualitative approach, the study relies on primary and secondary literature, including academic books, journal articles, policy documents, and relevant educational research. Data were collected through systematic searches in academic databases using keywords such as "Islamic Religious Education curriculum," "religious moderation," "digital era," and "curriculum design." Content analysis was employed to identify key themes, including principles of religious moderation, curriculum development strategies, and the integration of digital tools in teaching and learning. The findings highlight the importance of embedding religious moderation values, such as tolerance, inclusivity, and respect for diversity, into the curriculum to foster harmonious interfaith relations. The study also emphasizes the critical role of digital technology in enhancing interactive and accessible learning experiences. Based on the analysis, a framework for designing a PAI curriculum that integrates religious moderation and digital competencies is proposed. This research contributes to the discourse on curriculum development by offering insights and practical recommendations for policymakers, educators, and curriculum designers. The proposed model seeks to prepare students to navigate the complexities of the digital era while upholding the principles of religious moderation

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the relationship between body image and body dysmorphic disorder tendencies in teenagers in Surabaya. This study used a correlational quantitative research method. The participants in this study were all teenagers in Surabaya with the age range of 18-21 years. The number of participants in this study was 272 participants taken with reference to the Krejcie table with a confidence of 90%. The sample technique used was Accidental Sampling. The data analysis used is Spearman Rho. The results of this study showed a rho correlation coefficient value of -0.616 with a significance level of 0.000 (p≤0.05). Thus, there is a negative relationship between the two variables which shows that the higher the body image owned, the lower the tendency of body dysmorphic disorder, conversely the lower the body image owned, the higher the tendency of body dysmorphic disorder. Keywords: Body Dysmorphic Disorder; Body Image; Teenagers Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara body image dan kecenderungan body dysmorphic disorder pada remaja di Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluhruh remaja di Surabaya dengan rentan usia 18-21 tahun. Jumlah partisipan pada penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 272 partisipan yang diambil dengan mengacu pada tabel krejcie dengan confidence sebesar 90%. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah Accidental Sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah Spearman Rho. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi rho sebesar -0,616 dengan taraf signifikansi 0,000 (p≤0,05). Dengan demikian, terdapat hubungan negatif antara dua variabel yang menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi body image yang dimiliki maka semakin rendah kecenderungan body dysmorphic disordernya, sebaliknya semakin rendah body image yang dimiliki maka semakin tinggi kecenderungan body dysmorphic disorder nya. Abstract

Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Kemdikbudristek) menghapus tes membaca, menulis, dan menghitung (calistung) dalam penerimaan peserta didik baru (PPDB) jenjang Sekolah Dasar (SD) mulai tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Namun, kebijakan ini menimbulkan kekhawatiran di kalangan guru yang khawatir akan potensi masalah yang muncul. Sebagai tenaga pendidik, guru diharapkan selalu siap berkembang secara profesional dan memiliki persepsi yang positif terhadap kebijakan ini. Persepsi positif dapat mendorong guru untuk bertindak sesuai dengan keyakinan bahwa individu bisa berhasil, sementara persepsi negatif dapat memicu konflik dan ketidakpercayaan. Persepsi guru terkait erat dengan efikasi diri individu; guru dengan efikasi diri tinggi cenderung memiliki persepsi positif dan optimis terhadap kesuksesan, sedangkan yang memiliki efikasi diri rendah mungkin bersikap pesimis. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Teknik sampling yang akan digunakan di penelitian ini adalah cluster random sampling. Partisipan atau sampel yang akan peneliti gunakan mempunyai karakteristik guru kelas 1 SD di Surabaya sebanyak 82 Responden. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif jenis korelasional. Teknik analisis data menggunakan korelasi Spearman Brown. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis, di dapatkan nilai signifikasi (1-Tailed) sebesar 0.000 dengan nilai spearman correlation (r) sebesar 0,868. Karena nilai p=0,000 (p<0,01), maka dapat disimpulkan hasil tersebut sangat signifikan. Dapat diartikan dalam penelitian ini terdapat korelasi positif antara efikasi diri dan persepsi pada guru kelas 1 SD di Surabaya sehingga hipotesis dari penelitian ini diterima. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan adanya hubungan yang sangat signifikan antara efikasi diri dan persepsi pada guru kelas 1 SD di Surabaya.

Abstract

Abstrack This study aims to examine the relationship between mindfulness and emotion regulation on psychological well-being among kindergarten teachers in Surabaya. The study population consists of 357 kindergarten teachers in Surabaya, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research employed a descriptive quantitative method with a correlational approach. The research instruments include the Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ) with 24 items, the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) with 10 items, and the Psychological Well-Being Scales with 18 items, all of which were tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using ordinal linear regression to evaluate the influence of mindfulness and emotion regulation on psychological well-being. The results indicate that mindfulness has a significant but negative influence on psychological well-being (p < 0.05), while emotion regulation does not show a significant influence (p > 0.05). These findings provide valuable insights for developing more targeted interventions to enhance the psychological well-being of kindergarten teachers. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara mindfulness dan regulasi emosi terhadap psychological well-being pada guru TK di Surabaya. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari 357 guru TK di Surabaya yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Instrumen penelitian mencakup five facet mindfulness questionnaire (FFMQ) dengan 24 item, emotion regulation questionnaire (ERQ) dengan 10 item, dan -psychological well-Being scales dengan 18 item, yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji regresi linear ordinal untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh mindfulness dan regulasi emosi terhadap psychological well-being. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa mindfulness memiliki pengaruh signifikan namun negatif terhadap psychological well-being (p < 0,05), sedangkan regulasi emosi tidak menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan (p > 0,05). Temuan ini memberikan wawasan penting bagi upaya pengembangan intervensi yang lebih terarah dalam meningkatkan Psychological Well-Being guru TK. Kata Kunci : Mindfulness, regulasi emosi, psychological well-being.

Abstract

Fear of failure is a drive to avoid failure in the form of fear. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between self-efficacy and parental expectations with fear of failure on college entrance exams. The research method used quantitative correlation with a number of respondents of 377 high school students who were taken using convenience sampling technique. The research scale used the performance failure appraisal inventory scale adopted from Conroy (2002) with a Cronbach alpha value of 0.885, the self-efficacy scale adopted from Bandura (1997) with a Cronbach alpha value of 0.991, and the perception of parental expectation inventory scale adopted from Sasikala and Karunianidhi (2011) with a Cronbach alpha value of 0.863 indicating good psychometric quality. The data analysis technique used multiple regression analysis. The results of the study showed a significant relationship between self-efficacy and parental expectations with fear of failure on college entrance exams. Through positive self-efficacy, students are able to reduce the fear of failure which makes students feel confident in their ability to overcome challenges. Then, through negative parental expectations, students can become stressed, which can cause mental stress, thereby increasing the fear of failure. Ketakutan akan kegagalan merupakan dorongan untuk menghindari terjadinya kegagalan yang berupa rasa takut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara efikasi diri dan harapan orang tua dengan ketakutan akan kegagalan pada ujian masuk perguruan tinggi. Metode penelitian menggunakan kuantitatif korelasional dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 377 siswa sekolah menengah atas yang diambil dengan teknik convenience sampling. Skala penelitian menggunakan skala performance failure apprasial inventory yang mengadopsi dari Conroy (2002) dengan nilai cronbach alpha 0,885, skala efikasi diri yang mengadopsi dari Bandura (1997) dengan nilai cronbach alpha 0,991, dan skala perception of parental expectation inventory yang mengadopsi dari Sasikala dan Karunianidhi (2011) dengan nilai cronbach alpha 0,863 yang menunjukkan kualitas psikometri baik. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara efikasi diri dan harapan orang tua dengan ketakutan akan kegagalan pada ujian masuk perguruan tinggi. Melalui efikasi diri yang positif para siswa mampu mengurangi ketakutan akan kegagalan yang membuat siswa merasa yakin dengan kemampuan dirinya untuk mengatasi tantangan. Kemudian melalui harapan orang tua yang negatif dapat membuat siswa tertekan yang menimbulkan beban pikiran, sehingga mampu meningkatkan ketakutan akan kegagalan.
