Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of investment, export-import, and inflation rate on economic growth in Indonesia from the perspective of Islamic economics during the period 2004–2024. The Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) identifies short-term and long-term relationships among these variables. The data employed are annual secondary data from various official sources, such as the Central Bureau of Statistics and Bank Indonesia. The results indicate that, in the long term, investment and exports have a significant positive effect on economic growth, while inflation has a negative impact. In the short term, the relationships among these variables demonstrate complex dynamics, yet remain consistent with Islamic economic theory, which emphasizes stability, justice, and sustainable growth. This study provides important implications for macroeconomic policies aligned with sharia principles, particularly in efforts to achieve inclusive and equitable economic development in Indonesia.

Abstract

Swelling of clay soil has an impact on building construction. The problem that occurs in Marga Kaya Village, in the rainy season the soil is mushy and the carrying capacity becomes low so that the road is bumpy and the road body decreases. This study uses good sand stabilization material and bad sand with a mixture variation of 5%, 10% and 15% This study aims to find out the thick decrease in road pavement from each addition of mixed variations. Cbr results unsoaked and soaked maximum good sand occurs in a mixture of sand 15% with a value of 14.2% and 3.2%. The thickness of pavement on CBR unsoaked and soaked sand is well efficient on a mixture of sand 15% with a thickness of D1 = 2.25 cm, D2 = 20 cm and D3 = 10 cm, and soaked D1 = 8.75 cm, D2 = 20 cm and D3 = 10cm. Cbr unsoaked and soaked maximum value of bad sand occurs in 15% sand mixture with values of 13.9% and 2.6%. Thickness of pavement on CBR unsoaked and soaked bad sand maximum on the sand mixture 15% with thickness D1 = 2.5 cm, D2 = 20 cm and D3 = 10 cm, and soaked with thickness D1 = 9.25 cm, D2 = 20 cm and D3 = 10 cm. The value of swelling decreased from 11.4% to 5.7% and 8% in the addition of sand 15%.

Abstract

Briquettes are seen as a substitute for alternative fuels generated through pyrolysis. A common type of briquette is charcoal made from coconut shells. However, they have poor combustion duration and excessive combustion smoke. It is thought that adding shells to coconut shell briquettes can increase their quality while making better use of waste since shells have adsorption characteristics. Hence, this study intended to produce shells briquettes on many main factors, namely pyrolysis time, particle size, raw materials ratio, and binder concentration. The method utilized pertained to preliminary study by blending pyrolyzed coconut shell charcoal, shells, and tapioca flour. In line with the American Standard Testing and Material (ASTM) 2014, proximate analysis was conducted using the Thermogravimetric Analysis 201; in contrast, briquette calorific value was determined using the GDY-1A bomb calorimeter, which is in compliance with ISO 1928:2020. According to the findings, the best shell briquettes was found at 2.5 hours pyrolysis durations with a particle size of 50 mesh, a raw material ratio of 3:1 (charcoal : shell) and 50% binder concentration with 13.53 ± 0.23% water content; 39.91 ± 0.31% volatile matter content, 15.70 ± 0.07% ash content, 67.66 ± 0.68% fixed carbon content) (P < 0.05), and a calorific value of 1,942.126 cal/g. Nonetheless, the results were not ideal as the calorific value was lower compared to full charcoal briquettes. Therefore, to improve proximate quality and combustion efficiency, it is required to combine seashells with other materials that are higher in carbon or to modify the method.
