Abstract

The advent of the digital era has precipitated substantial challenges and opportunities for radio broadcasters to navigate the evolving digital media landscape. This study undertakes a comprehensive analysis of the evolution of radio broadcasters' roles in response to the intense competition from digital media platforms. Utilising a qualitative research methodology, this study employs a comprehensive approach that incorporates literature review, observational studies, and document analysis. It examines the transformative impact of digital technology on the operational dynamics of radio broadcasters, novel challenges and opportunities they encounter, and strategic measures they employ to maintain relevance and attract listeners. These findings indicate that successful radio broadcasters employ digital technology to extend their reach, cultivate robust listener communities, and facilitate customised listening experiences. These broadcasters have adopted digital platforms including online streaming, podcasts, and social media to interact with their audiences. Concurrently, radio broadcasters are acquiring new competencies in digital content production, data analytics, and multimedia to adapt to evolving media landscapes. Nevertheless, challenges persist, including intensified competition, fragmented audiences, and the need for sustainable digital business models. To thrive in the digital era, radio broadcasters must adopt audience-centric strategies, create unique and engaging content, and innovate continuously. The findings of this study contribute to the theoretical and practical understanding of the evolving roles of radio broadcasters, and provide insights for the future development of the radio broadcasting industry in the digital age.

Abstract

Operational efficiency is a key driver of competitiveness in modern manufacturing industries. This study aims to identify and synthesize effective production management strategies that have proven successful in enhancing operational performance. Using a systematic literature review approach, the study analyzes 15 relevant scientific publications from the past five years, covering both national and international contexts. Thematic analysis was employed to explore the interplay between process-based methods such as Lean Manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and 5S, and the adoption of digital technologies including big data analytics and digital twin systems. The results indicate that the integration of structured process strategies with digital innovation significantly contributes to improvements in production cycle efficiency, lead time reduction, and waste elimination. The findings also emphasize the need for adaptive strategies that align with the emerging principles of Industry 5.0 centered on sustainability, flexibility, and human-machine collaboration. Through a cross-study synthesis, this article contributes to the academic discourse by offering a conceptual foundation for developing resilient and contextually relevant production strategies in the digital transformation era.

Abstract

Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) is a public broadcaster that is facing many challenges in the digital age. These include going digital, creating sustainable business models, creating quality content, transparent and professional management, and developing skilled workers. This study sought new management ideas to make RRI more competitive and sustainable. Researchers have used a qualitative approach to review the books, journals, and documents of Indonesian public broadcasters. They collected and analysed the data and documents. Successful management requires creating engaging content, using digital technology, building sustainable business models, effectively managing resources, maintaining good governance, and forming partnerships. RRI needs to use digital technology wisely, find new funding sources, create content that attracts audiences, practice good governance, and train skilled workers to remain relevant and competitive. By focusing on these areas, RRI can improve its competitiveness and sustainability in the digital world. This study aimed to create a new management model and policy recommendations to strengthen the role of RRI in the digital era.

Abstract

The use of Augmented Reality (AR) technology in education has become an intriguing research topic in recent years. This study aims to explore the use of AR in enhancing the learning experience in classrooms. A literature review method is employed to analyze various approaches, benefits, challenges, and future prospects of AR in the educational context. Findings indicate that AR holds great potential in enhancing student engagement and conceptual understanding but faces challenges in infrastructure and teacher training. Therefore, investments in AR infrastructure development and adequate training for educators are suggested to maximize the benefits of this technology in classroom learning. Further research is also needed to explore broader applications of AR in education.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam administrasi desa menjadi langkah strategis dalam meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi pelayanan publik. Digitalisasi administrasi desa dapat mendukung berbagai program pemerintah, seperti asesmen stunting, program darurat, serta penyederhanaan alur administrasi kependudukan. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini diselenggarakan oleh Generasi Muda Forum Komunikasi Dosen (GM FKD) pada 20 Maret 2025 di salah satu desa di Kabupaten Bandung Barat, dengan tujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan perangkat desa dalam mengadopsi sistem administrasi berbasis teknologi digital. Metode pelaksanaan PKM ini mencakup seminar dan diskusi interaktif. Seminar edukatif memberikan wawasan tentang manfaat digitalisasi administrasi desa, sedangkan diskusi interaktif memungkinkan perangkat desa untuk berbagi pengalaman dan mendapatkan solusi terhadap kendala yang dihadapi dalam implementasi teknologi digital. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap pentingnya administrasi berbasis digital serta kesadaran akan manfaatnya dalam mempercepat proses pelayanan publik. Meskipun terdapat tantangan seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur dan resistensi terhadap perubahan, peserta menunjukkan antusiasme dalam mempelajari dan menerapkan sistem digital. Melalui PKM ini diharapkan menjadi langkah awal dalam mendukung transformasi digital di tingkat desa untuk mendukung tata kelola pemerintahan yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas kontroversi seputar Rancangan Undang-Undang (RUU) Penyiaran di Indonesia dan implikasinya terhadap praktik jurnalisme investigasi serta kebebasan pers. Dengan menggunakan metode studi literatur, penelitian ini menyajikan tinjauan yang mendalam tentang pandangan beragam pihak terkait RUU Penyiaran, termasuk media massa, aktivis, dan pemerintah. Temuan penelitian menyoroti perdebatan antara kepentingan regulasi media yang lebih ketat untuk menjaga ketertiban publik dan perlindungan hak privasi dengan kebutuhan akan kebebasan berekspresi dan akses informasi yang lebih luas. Implikasi dari revisi RUU Penyiaran terhadap praktik jurnalisme investigasi juga dianalisis secara kritis. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan wawasan yang mendalam tentang kompleksitas isu-isu yang terlibat dalam pembahasan RUU Penyiaran dan pentingnya menjaga keseimbangan antara kebebasan pers dan kepentingan publik.
