Abstract

This study proposes a mathematical solution to optimization problems in supply chains. The supply chain analyzed includes suppliers, manufacturers and distribution centers, bearing in mind that orders come from clients to distribution centers. A mathematical model that solves optimization characterization problems regarding the duration and cost of executing client orders is proposed. Many constraints are supported in this mathematical model such as supplier and producer capacity and balanced supply. The aim of the proposed model is to find optimal characteristic solutions that minimize cost and time criteria throughout the entire supply chain process. Mathematical models are tested on supply chains to determine the characteristics of several models that can be used to obtain optimal supply chain networks. This research produces a mathematical model with the function of the procurement model.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the efficiency of LPG fuel performance compared to gasoline in motorcycle engines. The research method involves a brake dynamometer test with engine speed variations of 2000 rpm, 2200 rpm, and 2500 rpm. Based on the results obtained, the exhaust gas temperature (°C) at an engine speed of 2000 rpm with gasoline is 148°C and 146°C, while with LPG, it is 107°C and 108°C. The fuel consumption rate (cc/min) at 2000 rpm is 15.8 cc/min, 16.2 cc/min with gasoline, and 9.36 cc/min with LPG. At 2200 rpm, the fuel consumption is 16.2 cc/min, 22.8 cc/min with gasoline, and 10.48 cc/min with LPG. At 2500 rpm, it is 20.2 cc/min, 19.4 cc/min with gasoline, and 14.40 cc/min with LPG. In terms of fuel consumption savings, using LPG as a fuel can significantly reduce fuel usage.

Abstract

Pengabdian Masyarakat yang dilakukan Fakultas Teknik Universitas Amir Hamzah Medan bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan ilmu pengetahuan dan hasil penelitian para dosen di lingkungan masyarakat sehingga keberadaan universitas sebagai pusat ilmu pengetahuan dapat dirasakan oleh masyarakat kegiatan ini berfokus pada Sosialisasi Meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang penggunaan peralatan hemat energi. Topik ini diangkat karena masih banyak masyarakat yang belum menyadari pentingnya penghematan energi Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui beberapa sub kegiatan penyuluhan atau sosialisasi tentang penggunaan peralatan listrik yang aman dan hemat energi.dan melalui sosialisasi ini dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat desa akan pentingnya penggunaan peralatan listrik secara efisien dan aman. dengan memberikan materi untuk mengedukasi masyarakat tentang pentingnya sosialisasi hemat energi listrik serta menjelaskan tips dan langkah apa saja yang dapat dilakukan untuk menghemat energi listrik. Ada beberapa langkah yang bisa dilakukan untuk menghemat energi listrik yaitu penggunaan lampu hemat energi, pemasangan energi listrik yang benar, pemasangan listrik di rumah bila diperlukan, menyalakan alat-alat listrik hanya bila diperlukan. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya penghematan energi listrik karena juga memberikan manfaat seperti penghematan biaya, nilai lingkungan yang lebih tinggi, keselamatan pemerintah, keselamatan pribadi, dan kenyamanan.
