Abstract

This study aims to develop tajwid teaching materials, especially the law of qalqalah at TPQ al-Manaar located in Mendungan, Pabelan, Sukoharjo. This study began with analyzing the problems faced by students related to learning the Qur'an. The research and development process uses the ADDIE method (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). The study's subjects were five students involved in the implementation or trial process. The research data were obtained by observing the students involved. The results of this study received a percentage of 75.7%, indicating that the song product containing the material of the law of qalqalah has met the criteria of valid, interesting, and effective. So, it can be concluded that the song containing the material of the law of qalqalah is suitable for use in tajwid learning for children at TPQ al-Manaar, Mendungan, Pabelan, Sukoharjo.

Abstract

This literature study aims to determine the effect of flashcard learning media in improving elementary school students' numeracy skills. The method used is a literature review with a qualitative approach, conducted through the exploration of various reputable electronic databases such as Google Scholar, ResearchGate, and Portal Garuda. During the data collection process, the researcher identified and gathered relevant articles based on specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. The selected articles are recent studies published within the last five years, from 2019 to 2024, in both Indonesian and English. The results of the study indicate that the use of flashcard media significantly improves the understanding of numeracy concepts, learning motivation, and active involvement of students during the learning process. Flashcards that are visual, simple, and easy to operate have proven effective in helping students understand the concept of numbers, basic operations, and problem solving in a concrete and real way. In addition, the use of flashcards can also improve the interactive and enjoyable classroom atmosphere, and strengthen the relationship between teachers and students. However, there are several obstacles such as the lack of teacher training in designing innovative media, and the limited variety of media used. Therefore, it is recommended that the development of flashcard media be carried out continuously with more diverse variations and adjusted to students' needs, and followed by training for teachers so that the use of this media can be optimized. This study makes an important contribution to improving the quality of numeracy learning at the elementary education level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah media flashcard pada pembelajaran Aksara Bima untuk mengukur kepraktisan penggunannya. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keterbatasan dalam proses pembelajaran Aksara Bima di sekolah, yang pada umumnya masih bergantung pada buku ajar sebagai satu-satunya sumber. Ketiadaan variasi media menyebabkan motivasi belajar siswa yang rendah serta belum optimalnya kemampuan mereka dalam membaca dan menulis Aksara Bima. Adapun jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 15 siswa yang dipilih secara purposif dari kelas IV, V, dan VI di SDN Rabakodo. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui instrumen angket yang diberikan kepada siswa dan guru untuk menilai tingkat kepraktisan media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa uji kepraktisan yang dilakukan kepada siswa dengan 15 butir pernyataan menghasilkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 99,22%. Nilai ini mengindikasikan bahwa media flashcard yang dikembangkan berada pada kategori sangat praktis dan mudah digunakan dalam kegiatan belajar. Selanjutnya, uji kepraktisan yang dilakukan kepada dua orang guru memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 97,50%, yang juga termasuk dalam kategori sangat praktis. Hasil ini memperlihatkan bahwa baik siswa maupun guru menilai media flashcard mampu mendukung proses pembelajaran secara efektif. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk media pembelajaran flashcard yang dikembangkan valid dan sangat praktis digunakan dalam pembelajaran Aksara Bima pada kelas tinggi Sekolah Dasar di Rabakodo. AbstractThis research aims to develop a flashcard media for Bima script learning to measure the practicality of its use. This research was motivated by the limitations in the learning process of Bima Script in schools, which generally still relies on textbooks as the only source. The absence of media variations has led to low student learning motivation and their ability to read and write the Bima script has not been optimized. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. The research subjects consisted of 15 students who were purposively selected from classes IV, V, and VI at SDN Rabakodo. The data collection technique was carried out through a questionnaire instrument given to students and teachers to assess the level of practicality of the media. The results showed that the practicality test conducted on students with 15 statement items resulted in an average score of 99.22%. This value indicates that the flashcard media developed is in the very practical category and easy to use in learning activities. Furthermore, the practicality test conducted on two teachers obtained an average score of 97.50%, which is also included in the very practical category. These results show that both students and teachers assess flashcards as able to support the learning process effectively. Thus, it can be concluded that the flashcards learning media products developed by the teachers are very practical.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a bilingual children’s storybook (Sanggar–Indonesian) grounded in the local wisdom of Su’u Sawa’u Sia Sawale to enhance students’ basic literacy in the Sanggar language. The objectives were to examine the developmental process of the product using the R&D approach with the ADDIE model and to assess the feasibility and effectiveness of the resulting product in improving Sanggar language literacy among students. The product was trialed to 15 students at SDN 2 Piong, Sanggar District, Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Data collection employed questionnaires and pre–post tests. Validation was conducted by three experts: the material expert awarded a perfect score of 20/20 (100%), the media expert scored 18/20 (90%), and the third validator (a teacher and native speaker of Sanggar) gave 40/40 (100%), producing an average feasibility rate of 97% (Very High). During implementation, students’ Sanggar language literacy scores increased significantly from an average pretest score of 16.67 to a posttest average of 76.93, demonstrating that the developed product is both feasible and effective in improving students’ basic literacy in Sanggar language.

Abstract

Bima Script, also known as Aksara Mbojo, is one of the local cultural heritages that has been gradually neglected by the younger generation, particularly at the elementary school level. The lack of teaching materials and engaging learning methods has resulted in low student motivation to learn local scripts. This study aims to develop and assess the feasibility of context-based flashcards as an alternative learning media for teaching the Bima Script in elementary schools. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Evaluate). The participants were elementary school students in Rabakodo Village, with validation conducted by four experts, consisting of two media experts and two material experts. The assessment instrument used a 1–4 scale covering visual design, technical aspects, usability, contextual relevance, content feasibility, language, and alignment with learning objectives. The validation results indicated an average score of 94.16 percent for media aspects and 98.33 percent for material aspects, both categorized as “highly feasible.” The flashcard media proved to be simple, attractive, easy to use, and contextually relevant to students’ daily experiences, making it effective for introducing the Bima Script while supporting local cultural preservation. Therefore, context-based flashcards can serve as a practical learning medium that contributes to strengthening students’ cultural identity.

Abstract

Urgensi penelitian ini terletak pada kebutuhan akan bahan ajar inovatif yang mampu mengintegrasikan teknologi digital dengan pendekatan pembelajaran Kurikulum Merdeka untuk menumbuhkan literasi dan ekspresi diri siswa secara bermakna.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku digital materi Ekspresi Diri Melalui Hobi pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia kelas V SD yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka. Buku digital ini dirancang agar mampu mendukung keterampilan literasi, mendorong siswa mengenal dan mengekspresikan hobi, serta meningkatkan minat baca. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan model 4-D yang meliputi tahap define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Tahap define dilakukan dengan analisis kurikulum dan kebutuhan siswa, tahap design dengan merancang buku digital, tahap develop melalui validasi ahli materi dan media, sedangkan tahap disseminate terbatas pada penyusunan artikel. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa angket validasi yang diberikan kepada validator ahli. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa dari aspek media, indikator materi sesuai dengan capaian pembelajaran memperoleh kategori baik (66,7%) dan cukup baik (33,3%), indikator menarik dan konsisten memperoleh kategori baik (100%), serta indikator lain seperti keterbacaan, kejelasan topik, aksesibilitas, dan kejelasan petunjuk memperoleh kategori baik dan cukup baik. Dari aspek materi, hasil validasi menunjukkan indikator relevansi dengan tema, pengembangan literasi, kedalaman materi, serta mendorong siswa mengekspresikan hobi memperoleh kategori layak hingga sangat layak (100%). Dengan demikian, buku digital yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak untuk digunakan sebagai bahan ajar pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia kelas V Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of contextual-based flashcard media in improving the ability to read and write Bima script among elementary school students in Rabakodo Village, Bima Regency. The background of this study departs from the condition that learning Bima script in schools is still very limited, generally only relying on textbooks without media variations, so that students are less motivated and not able to read their local script properly. The research used a descriptive quantitative approach with a simple one group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 35 students in grades IV, V, and VI who were purposively selected from two elementary schools in Rabakodo. The instruments used were Bima script comprehension test, observation sheet, and documentation. Data were analyzed using normality test, paired t test, and effect size calculation. The results showed a significant increase in students' ability after learning with flashcards. The average pretest score of 24.25 increased to 81.20 on the posttest with p < 0.001 and a very large effect size (Cohen's d = 5.32). In addition to the increase in test scores, students also showed enthusiasm, active engagement, and higher learning motivation. Thus, contextual-based flashcard media proved effective in improving literacy in Bima script while contributing to the preservation of local culture.
