Abstract

Minimnya hasil prestasi belajar siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 6 Napabalano pada mata pelajaran matematika materi bangun ruang menjadi persoalan yang mengemuka. Rumusan masalah yang ada di penelitian ini adalah apakah dengan penggunaan alat peraga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi bangun ruang di kelas IV SD Negeri 6 Napabalano. Tujuan penelitian yaitu adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika melalui penggunaan alat peraga pada materi bangun ruang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan menerapkan pembelajaran menggunakan alat peraga. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV yang berjumlah 22 orang siswa, terdiri dari sembilan siswa laki-laki dan 13 siswa perempuan. Jenis data dalam penelitian ini adalah data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa melalui setiap tes yang diberikan, dimana pada siklus I rata-rata hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa adalah 60,90 meningkat menjadi 85,45 pada siklus II. Pada siklus I persentase ketuntasan siswa yaitu 50% (11 orang dinyatakan tuntas atau memiliki nilai ≥ 65 dari 22 orang siswa) meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 90,91 % (20 orang dinyatakan tuntas atau memiliki nilai ≥ 65 dari 22 orang siswa) Dari hasil observasi, evaluasi dan refleksi pada siklus I dan II maka dapat di simpulkan bahwa penggunaan alat peraga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 6 Napabalano pada materi bangun ruang.

Abstract

The_low_mathematics_learning_outcomes_of class X1 Science students_at SMAN 1 Nan Sabaris are the background for conducting this research. The causal factor_is_that_students_are_not_actively involved_in_learning, so_students' problem-solving abilities do not develop well. One_model_that_can_be used_to_improve_students' mathematics learning outcomes is_by implementing a problem-based_learning model. This research aims to determine the effect of the problem based learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of class XI IPA students at SMAN 1 Nan Sabaris. This study employs a pre-exsperimental approach utilizing a design that involves only a randomly assigned control group. The study population consisted af all eleventh-grade science students at SMAN a Nan Sabaris for the 2022/2023 academic year. Sampling used a purposive sampling technique, namely class XI IPA1 as the experimental class and class XI IPA2 as the control class. The learning outcomes analyzed are learning outcomes in the cognitive domain with multi-dimensional material. Based on data analysis, the average value obtained in the experimental class was 77.2857 and the average value in the control class was 66.3636, meaning that the average for the experimental class was higher than the control class. The results of the t-test analysis obtained tstat = 3.6566 and t(0.975; 66) = 1.998. The calculation results show that tstat > ttable means that H0 is rejected, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of learning using the problem-based learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of Class X1 Science Students at SMAN 1 Nan Sabaris. ABSTRAKRendahnya pencapaian pembelajaran matematika siswa kelas X1 IPA SMAN 1 Nan Sabaris yang melatarbelakangi dilakukannya penelitian ini. Faktor penyebabnya adalah partisipasi siswa rendah dalam proses belajar mengajar sehingga perkembangan keterampilan menyelesaikan masalah mereka tidak optimal. Penerapan model problem based learning merupakan satu dari metode yang bisa digunakan untuk meningkatkan pencapaian pembelajaran matematika siswa. Sasaran dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model problem based learning terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Nan Sabaris. Penelitian ini merupakan pra-eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian randomized control group only design. Subjek penelitian ini mencakup semua siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Nan Sabaris tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yaitu kelas XI IPA1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil belajar yang dianalisis yaitu hasil belajar pada ranah kognitif dengan materi suku banyak.Berdasarkan analisis data, rata-rata kelas ekperimen melampaui rata-rata kelas kontrol, yaitu 66,3636 pada kelas kontrol dan 77,2857 pada kelas eksperimen. Hasil analisis uji-t diperoleh thitung = 3,6566 dan t(0,975; 66) =1,998. Hasil perhitungan terlihat thitung > ttabel berarti H0 ditolak, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran  dengan model problem based learning terhadap hasil belajar matematika Siswa Kelas X1 IPA SMAN 1 Nan Sabaris.

Abstract

Geometry and measurement affect our daily lives, both personal and sociocultural. Geometry is one of the contents in numeracy taught at every level of education. This study aimed to determine mathematics teachers' design of numeracy tasks using geometry and measurement content. Ninety-three math problems were collected from mathematics teachers in 31 Padang Pariaman districts, West Sumatra, Indonesia. Teachers were given problem-posing tasks and then asked to design numeracy tasks. To analyze, the tasks were classified as solvable or unsolvable and then further divided into context use level and cognitive process level domains. The numeracy context (personal, sociocultural, and scientific) was also analyzed. The study found that the tasks created had varying levels of context utilization, ranging from zero to second-order context. Most of the activities proposed were at the comprehension level, with just a tiny number designated as thinking functions in terms of cognitive processes. Some teachers' draft numeracy tasks in geometry content are discussed further.

Abstract

Numeracy skills are essential competencies that students must possess to face the challenges of 21st-century life. Numeracy encompasses not only the ability to perform calculations but also includes conceptual understanding, application in real-life contexts, and data-driven decision-making. This article aims to explore in depth the Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) of prospective elementary school teachers in solving numeracy problems. The study seeks to examine the PCK of prospective elementary school teachers in the context of numeracy, focusing on cognitive analysis and decision-making in mathematical problem-solving. Using a qualitative exploratory approach, data were collected through numeracy tests and interviews with students enrolled in an elementary teacher education program (PGSD). The findings reveal that the PCK of prospective elementary school teachers in numeracy consists of four main components: content knowledge, knowledge of students, knowledge of instructional strategies, and contextual knowledge. Specifically, it was found that the prospective teachers have a solid understanding of basic numeracy concepts but face challenges in applying effective strategies to address student errors. The study recommends further development in teacher training, particularly in decision-making and the adaptation of instructional strategies to suit students’ characteristics.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Game Based Learning (GBL) on mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students through a literature review.  The process in the literature study method begins with searching for relevant references through platforms such as Google Scholar. After that, the various sources found are grouped according to the formulation of the research problem that has been determined previously. The next step was to analyze the information collected to identify important findings related to the impact of Game-Based Learning (GBL). Finally, the results of the analysis were interpreted to draw conclusions that could answer the research objectives. Data was obtained from accredited journals of the last five years. Therefore, by using a qualitative approach, this study was able to find facts analytically about the effect of game-based learning on student learning outcomes. The results showed that GBL through various platforms such as Kahoot, Quizziz, Bamboozle, Educandy and Wordwall proved effective in improving students' learning outcomes, motivation and comprehension. This study supports the use of GBL as an innovative strategy in mathematics learning.

Abstract

This literature study aims to determine the effect of flashcard learning media in improving elementary school students' numeracy skills. The method used is a literature review with a qualitative approach, conducted through the exploration of various reputable electronic databases such as Google Scholar, ResearchGate, and Portal Garuda. During the data collection process, the researcher identified and gathered relevant articles based on specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. The selected articles are recent studies published within the last five years, from 2019 to 2024, in both Indonesian and English. The results of the study indicate that the use of flashcard media significantly improves the understanding of numeracy concepts, learning motivation, and active involvement of students during the learning process. Flashcards that are visual, simple, and easy to operate have proven effective in helping students understand the concept of numbers, basic operations, and problem solving in a concrete and real way. In addition, the use of flashcards can also improve the interactive and enjoyable classroom atmosphere, and strengthen the relationship between teachers and students. However, there are several obstacles such as the lack of teacher training in designing innovative media, and the limited variety of media used. Therefore, it is recommended that the development of flashcard media be carried out continuously with more diverse variations and adjusted to students' needs, and followed by training for teachers so that the use of this media can be optimized. This study makes an important contribution to improving the quality of numeracy learning at the elementary education level.

Abstract

This study aims to thoroughly analyze the impact of Wordwall as a learning tool on increasing motivation and learning outcomes in mathematics among elementary school students. The method used was a literature review with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained from ten articles published in the past five years with a focus on Wordwall criteria, motivation and learning outcomes for mathematics at the elementary school level. Based on the results of the study, the use of wordwalls was proven to increase focus, interest, self-confidence and learning satisfaction. Word walls also support active and fun learning, making it easier for students to understand math concepts. Their implementation has been shown to significantly increase learning motivation and learning satisfaction at various levels. However, there are several obstacles to its implementation, including the need for devices, the Internet and teachers' skills in developing word wall features. It is expected that this study will provide a reference for teachers to use Wordwall optimally and encourage further research on digital learning media in elementary schools.

Abstract

Pada era globalisasi saat ini, berpikir kritis ialah salah satu keterampilan utama yang dikuasai dalam bidang pendidikan. Tujuan artikel ini adalah menganalisis dampak model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam konteks pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS). Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur terhadap 10 artikel ilmiah yang diterbitkan antara 2020 dan 2025. Fokus penelitian ini adalah pada proses PBL yang mengintegrasikan teknologi digital dengan materi IPS yang kompleks. Temuan analisis menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan PBL efektif dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, terutama dalam menangani isu-isu kontekstual dan menganalisis masalah dunia nyata. Oleh karena itu, PBL merupakan paradigma pengajaran yang efektif dan fleksibel yang dapat diterapkan dalam kelas IPS di sekolah dasar. Model ini bahkan kebih efektif ketika dipadukan dengan teknologi digital untuk menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih dinamis dan menarik.

Abstract

Kemampuan membaca merupakan salah satu keterampilan mendasar yang perlu dikuasai siswa di abad ke-21, dan dapat dikembangkan melalui pemanfaatan media seperti buku cerita bergambar.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menelaah pengaruh penggunaan buku cerita bergambar terhadap keterampilan membaca siswa Sekolah Dasar. Metode yang digunakan berupa studi literatur dengan merujuk pada beragam sumber sekunder yang relevan. Proses analisis turut diperkuat dengan data pre-test dan post-test dari dua kelompok eksperimen.Temuan penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa penggunaan buku cerita bergambar berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan membaca, dibuktikan dengan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05. Demikian pula, kelompok yang memanfaatkan buku komik menunjukkan hasil sebanding dengan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05, yang menegaskan bahwa kedua media sama-sama berdampak positif terhadap keterampilan membaca siswa. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa baik buku cerita bergambar maupun buku komik memiliki kontribusi penting dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa SD.
