Abstract

Let $ G = (V, E) $ be a connected graph with vertex set $ V(G) $ and edge set $ E(G) $. For any two vertices $ u $ and $ v $ in $ G $, the shortest path distance between $ u $ and $v$ is denoted by $d(u, v)$. If $W = \{w_1, w_2, \dots, w_k\}$ is an ordered set of vertices in the connected graph $G$ , and $v \in V(G)$, then the representation of vertex $v$ with respect to $W$ , denoted as $r(v|W)$, is $r(v|W) = (d(v, w_1), d(v, w_2), \dots, d(v, w_k))$. If $r(v|W)$ is distinct for each vertex $v \in V(G)$, then $W$ is referred to as a resolving set for $G$. The resolving set with the smallest cardinality is called the minimum resolving set, and the cardinality of this set is the metric dimension of $G$, denoted by $\dim(G)$. This paper explores the metric dimension of the theta graphs.

Abstract

Linear programs are often referred to as linear problem-solving methods, one of which is the simplex method. The simplex method is an approach that the author can use in solving a linear program problem in determining the optimal solution that has two or more decision variables where in determining the combination itself can be repeated iterating over the simplex table until the optimum value is found in the optimization problem that has been studied. The business world must have optimization problems that include maximum profits and minimum costs where both problems can be solved using the simplex method. The research began on May 14, 2023 at Najwa Sewing House (Clothing Store) Ngelosari, Jombor, Kec.Tuntang, Semarang Regency. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the simplex method in a linear program so that maximum profit is obtained in the production of Najwa Sewing House. The analysis carried out in this study is an analysis using the simplex method with calculations assisted by excel applications. The results showed that the amount of optimum production from each product capacity at Najwa Sewing House resulted in a maximum profit of IDR 2.550.000.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain optimal distribution costs for selling gallons of water at the Air Mega Mas Depot, Sekaran. The data analysis method used is the transportation method, using the VAM (Vogel's Approximation Method) method for the initial solution and the optimal test using the MODI (Modified Distribution) method. Air Mega Mas Depot is faced with the problem of increasing marketing costs due to the lack of regular distribution patterns from the source to the marketing destination, so the company tries to optimize the transportation costs incurred. The distribution of gallon water products at the Air Mega Mas Depot using the transportation method gets optimal results. The costs incurred by the Air Mega Mas Depot for the distribution of gallons of water for a 2-month period (March-April) are Rp. 2.520.000 while for the optimal calculation results for the distribution of gallons of water, a cost of IDR 2.435.000 is obtained. Based on this analysis, Air Mega Mas Depot can optimize distribution costs for the March-April period of IDR 85.000.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop an innovation "Mathematical Patterns in Muslim Fashion" an innovation in Muslim clothing design using mathematical patterns and to test its feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness for the development of student edupreneurs. The method used in this study is research and development with 4D model, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The subjects of this study were students of Mathematics Education at IAIN Kudus who took the Entrepreneurship course in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire that included feasibility, namely from expert validation, practicality, namely from student responses, and the effectiveness of using Muslim clothing design innovations using mathematical patterns as student edupreneur development. The results of this study are "Mathematical Patterns in Muslim Fashion" Muslim clothing design innovation using mathematical patterns is feasible with material experts with very good criteria, designer validators with good criteria, and edupreneur expert validators with very good criteria, practicality obtained 96%, and effective with very good criteria used as student edupreneur development.
