Abstract

Purpose - This research was aimed to examine the factors that influence student dependence on smartphones and its effect to purchase intentionDesign/methodology/approach – Quantitative research method used in this research with the Partial Least Square (PLS) path modeling approach and structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) technique to test the proposed hypothesis. From 442 total questionnaire responses, 368 valid responses were collected and being tested using SmartPLS.Findings – This research found that Social Needs, Social Influence, and Convenience significantly affecting student Dependence on Smartphone. A similar result also found that Social Needs, Social Influence, and Convenience significantly affect purchase intention. For the dependent variable, Dependence on Smartphone significantly affects Purchase Intention. However, Social Needs were found to have the most significant influence on Dependence on Smartphone and Purchase Intention.Originality/value – Originality of this research is in finding out the influence of Social Needs towards Dependence on Smartphone and Purchase Intention

Abstract

This paper is based on field research into the evolution of the telecommunications industry in Indonesia for the newest telecommunications operator company in Indonesia, PT Smart Telecom (ST), from the preparation of its launch to becoming one of the surviving telecommunications companies in Indonesia. The paper aim to describe the marketing, operational and the role ST plays in the Sinarmas group. Through a personal experience, the case focuses on every stage of PT Smart Telecom’s evolution until its merger with PT Mobile-8 before becoming one of the five remaining telecommunication operators in Indonesia.

Abstract

Purpose – The objective of this study is to find whether the independent variable, which is financial literacy, attitude towards saving, subjective norms, family socialization has a significant impact on the mediating variable, which is saving intention during the pandemic situation. Researchers also intrigues to find whether saving intention has a significant impact on the dependent variable which is saving behavior in Indonesia at current pandemic.Design/methodology/approach – This research study was conducted using a quantitative method using probability sampling, in which the primary data was collected from the questionnaire filled by 312 Indonesian from age  >17 to <51 years old (productive age). The questionnaire was analyzed using validity and reliability test. The validity and reliability test found that all questions (30 questions) are valid and reliable and can be processed further. The hypotheses and research model of this study were tested using Structural Equation Model.Findings – The results of the survey show that saving intention is affected by saving behavior. In addition, saving intention is influenced by the attitude towards saving, subjective norm, family socialization. Moreover, the financial literacy toward saving intention is not related.Originality/value – The originality of this study is the first research integrating financial literacy, attitude towards saving, subjective norm, and family socialization, mediating by saving intention toward saving behavior in Indonesia

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of service quality such as time efficiency, price, atmosphere, employee attitudes, information technology quality, aesthetics, escapism and product quality as an influence on consumer loyalty at “Naturalis Koffie”. Quantitative methods with primary data were used in this study. Data is collected using online questionnaires find the right respondents, that have visited Naturalis Koffie. The data gather were analyzed using Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) on SmartPLS 3.2.9 application. The results show that customer loyalty is influenced by service quality – consisting of 9 subdimensions: Time efficiency, Fairy Price, Atmosphere, Employee Attitude, Information Technology Service, Coffee Quality, Aesthetics, Escapism, and Satisfaction. The study found that all the nine variables were important interm of key success of the café. The originality of this study was to determine the effect of Service quality and product quality as an influence on consumer loyalty that affect  costumer repeat order.

Abstract

This study aim is to analyze price perception, food quality, brand image, waiting time, towards customer satisfaction with repurchase intention as mediating factor. Quantitative methods with primary data were used in this study.  The data were collected using online survey. The data collected were analyzed with the Structural Equations modelling using Smart-PLS software. This research revealed that customer satisfaction was affected by price perception, food quality and brand image. This study was the first study that integrating price perception, food quality, brand image, waiting time towards customer satisfaction as a driver of Repurchase Intention.

Abstract

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to focus on the role of risk tolerance as the mediator of accounting information, advocate recommendation, and financial knowledge towards investment decisions on Indonesia mutual funds during Covid-19 pandemic. Design/methodology/approach – This study uses quantitative method with primary data. A 28 items instrument was distribute to various social media such as Telegram, Instagram, Line, and Whatsapp by Google Form. The independent variables were accounting information, advocate recommendation, and financial knowledge. The dependent variables were risk tolerance and investment decisions . This research gathers 338 respondents. Finally, the data analysis use PLS-SEM in the SmartPLS 3.0 application to examine the purpose of this paper. Findings – Risk tolerance does not mediate independent variables (accounting information, advocate recommendation, and financial knowledge) towards investment decisions on Indonesia mutual funds during Covid-19 pandemic. However, Investment decisions is being directly influenced by Financial Knowledge, Risk Tolerance, Accounting Information and Advocate Recommendation. Originality/value – Author believes that this is the first study, which applies accounting information, advocate recommendation toward investment decisions with risk tolerance as the mediator on Indonesia mutual funds during Covid-19 pandemic. Abstract

Purpose - The purpose of this study was to examine whether electronic word of mouth, brand image, and celebrity endorsement affect the purchase intention of consumers of Padang Payakumbuah BSD Restaurant with brand awareness mediation. Design/methodology/approach - This study used quantitative methods. Online questionnaires were distributed and collected from people who have eaten at Padang Payakumbuah BSD Restaurant. A total of 353 valid responses were collected using convenience and purosive sampling methods. To achieve the objectives of this study, an analysis was conducted using SEM, or Structural Equation model, for hypothesis testing. Findings - The results showed that brand awareness significantly influences the purchase intention of consumers of Padang Payakumbuah BSD Restaurant. In addition, brand awareness is significantly influenced by electronic word of mouth, brand image, and celebrity endorsements. Originality/value - This study is the first research on purchase intention in the culinary industry using electronic word of mouth, brand image, celebrity endorser, and brand awareness variables. In addition, this research is the first to examine the Padang Payakumbuah BSD Restaurant.

Abstract

Kegiatan pelatihan manajemen keuangan bagi UKM Pertanian Terpadu Bukit Thursina (PTBT) dilaksanakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam pengelolaan keuangan yang lebih efektif dan efisien. Pelatihan ini difasilitasi oleh akademisi dari Universitas Presiden, yang mencakup berbagai aspek penting dalam manajemen keuangan, seperti sistem informasi manajemen keuangan, praktik manajemen keuangan di sektor pertanian, akuntansi manajerial, serta pengambilan keputusan keuangan. Diskusi dalam pelatihan mengungkapkan bahwa tantangan utama PTBT adalah sistem informasi manajemen keuangan yang belum optimal serta kurangnya pemetaan kemampuan perusahaan. Sebagai solusi, direkomendasikan adanya spesialis dalam pemetaan sistem informasi manajemen keuangan dan pemberdayaan peran akuntan manajemen. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa peserta memperoleh wawasan yang lebih baik tentang strategi pengelolaan anggaran, manajemen arus kas, dan pengambilan keputusan finansial yang dapat meningkatkan kinerja usaha mereka. Dengan adanya program ini, PTBT diharapkan mampu mencapai kemandirian finansial, meningkatkan kesejahteraan anggotanya, serta berkontribusi pada pertumbuhan ekonomi masyarakat lokal.
