Abstract

Regions now posses authority to make policies for services, participation increase, initiatives, and people empowerment whose purpose is to increase the prosperity of the people. In line with the principles another principle is also applied – real and responsible autonomy, that is the principle in which the governmental issues management is conducted based on the tasks, authority, and obligation which obviously has existed and had the potentials to grow, live and develop in accordance with the potentials and specialty of the region. Hence, the implementation of regional autonomy must always be oriented to the enhancement of the people’s prosperity by always paying attention to the interest and aspiration existing in the community. Abstract

Financial ability constitutes one of variables that is crucial by nature to a region (Dati II : regency or municipality) in its effort to realize regional auto numbering into reality. Based on the result of financial condition analysis of region in central java. It can be said that regions in central java on the whole have batter opportunity to achieve regional autonomy being tangible, dynamic, compatible, and responsible accountable. This regard is caused by financial condition of regions in central java which overall better and higher than the average of financial ability of regions nationally.

Abstract

The study is aimed to investigate the effect of general purposes transfer (DAU), per capita GRDP and poverty rate on own sources revenue (PAD) for District level in Province of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). To estimate the effect of DAU, per capita GRDP and poverty rate on PAD, the panel data regression model are used that is model based on panel data (combination of time series and crosssection data); and pooled least squares (PLS), fixed effect model (FEM) and random effect model (REM) methods are used to estimate the regression model. The result shows that all independent variables that is DAU, per capita GDRP and poverty rate has significant statistical effect on PAD in Province of East Nusa Tenggara. The findings in this study has an important policy implication for the regional and central govemment, that is, to increase PAD di regional level, DAU and per capita GRDP should be incrased, and the contrary, poverty reduction in regional level should be continously conducted by the government at all level. Abstract

Purpose - This research was aimed to examine the factors that influence student dependence on smartphones and its effect to purchase intentionDesign/methodology/approach – Quantitative research method used in this research with the Partial Least Square (PLS) path modeling approach and structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) technique to test the proposed hypothesis. From 442 total questionnaire responses, 368 valid responses were collected and being tested using SmartPLS.Findings – This research found that Social Needs, Social Influence, and Convenience significantly affecting student Dependence on Smartphone. A similar result also found that Social Needs, Social Influence, and Convenience significantly affect purchase intention. For the dependent variable, Dependence on Smartphone significantly affects Purchase Intention. However, Social Needs were found to have the most significant influence on Dependence on Smartphone and Purchase Intention.Originality/value – Originality of this research is in finding out the influence of Social Needs towards Dependence on Smartphone and Purchase Intention

Abstract

The objective of the study is to explore the impacts of human resource quality, province minimum wage, and unemployment rate toward labor productivity in Indonesia The study uses panel data that is combination of cross-section (33 provinces) and time-series data (2007-2010). In this study, panel data regression model is used and estimated by fixed effect model (FEM) and random effect model (REM). The result shows that human resource quality and unemployment rate have statistically significant effect on labor productivity in Indonesia, in which the former with positive sign and the later with negative. However, province minimum wage variable does not have significant effect on labor productivity.Key words: labor productivity, human resource quality, province minimum wage, unemployment rate, Indonesia

Abstract

Kebijakan dan praktik pembangunan yang dianut banyak negara sedang berkembang terutama selama kurun waktu 1950-an hingga awal 1970-an, di mana peningkatan pertumbuhan ekonomi dijadikan sebagai tujuan utama pembangunan telah menimbulkan kekecewaan di kalangan para pembuat kebijakan terutama sekali di negara-negara sedang berkembang. Strategi industrialisasi yang menekankan pada pengembangan sektor industri terutama industri besar di daerah-daerah perkotaan (urban areas) dipilih sebagai strategi yang tepat untuk menciptakan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang tinggi. Hasil yang dicapai memang spektakuler di mana hampir semua negara sedang berkembang mampu mencapai laju pertumbuhan ekonomi yang tinggi yaitu rata-rata sebesar 6 persen per tahun. Pertumbuhan ekonomi yang cukup tinggi yang berhasil dicapai negara-negara sedang berkembang tersebut ternyata tidak berhasil mengurangi kemiskinan, ketimpangan penda-patan dan pengangguran dalam berbagai bentuknya yang menimpa negara-negara sedang berkembang tersebut. Asumsi bahwa pertumbuhan ekonomi yang tinggi itu akan secara otomatis menyebar (automatically trickle-down) kepada kaum miskin dalam bentuk lapangan kerja dan peluang-peluang ekonomi lainnya, ternyata tidak menjadi kenyataan. Bahkan ada indikasi di mana masalah-masalah, seperti kemiskinan (poverty), ketimpangan dalam pembagian pendapatan (income inequality) dan pengangguran (unemployment), justru menunjukkan adanya kecenderungan semakin memburuk dari tahun ke tahun (Todaro dan Smith, 2015).

Abstract

Transfer Dana ke Daerah dan Dana Desa (TKDD) merupakan salah satu komponen Belanja Negara yang mempunyai peranan yang sangat penting sebagai instrumen kebijakan fiskal dalam memperkuat implementasi desentralisasi fiskal dan berperan strategis dalam mempercepat pembangunan daerah serta mengurangi kesenjangan fiskal antar daerah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh transfer fiskal antar tingkat pemerintahan terhadap derajat otonomi fiskal dari kabupaten dan kota. Penelitian ini menggunakan data panel tahun 2011–2017 yang mencakup 33 kabupaten dan kota di Provinsi Jawa Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hanya Dana Alokasi Umum (DAU) dan Dana Bagi Hasil (DBH) yang memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap derajat otonomi fiskal kabupaten/kota di Provinsi Jawa Barat. Sedangkan Dana Alokasi Khusus (DAK) tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap derajat otonomi fiskal kabupaten/kota. DAU menyebabkan terjadinya efek “crowding- out‟ terhadap PAD kabupaten/kota di Provinsi Jawa Barat. Selain itu, transfer fiskal (DAU, DAK dan DBH) tidak memberikan “flypaper effect” terhadap belanja pemerintah kabupaten dan kota di di Provinsi Jawa Barat.

Abstract

Income distribution is one of the important factors determining the effectiveness of growth in reducing poverty. This study examines the factors determining income distribution in Indonesia. The results of econometric analysis show that income distribution in Indonesia strongly affected by human capital, real per capita income, real minimum wages, and inflation. Human capital, real per capita income and inflation tends to equalizing on income distribution, while real minimum wages tend to have disequalizing effects on income distribution. The results also show that Kuznets U curve hypothesis is empirically confirmed.

Abstract

The low quality fo human resources is one of issues faced by almost all the regions in indonesia, including all regencies in sumba. Sumba is one of the islands in Province of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) and has 4 regencies, that is, Sumba Barat Daya, Sumba Barat, Sumba Tengah and Sumba Timur. These four rengencies in terms of human resources are relatively still left behind comparing to others regencies in Province of East Nusa Tenggara. One of the indicators used to assess the quality of human resources in one country or regency is the index of human development (IPM). The low-quality of human resources is one of the main issues and challenges in regional development in sumba. Moreover, the leakage of economic resource that flow to outside sumba and also the slow of economic transformation is also another issue faced by these 4 regencies in sumba.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is a well-known concept in economic knowledge for long time and has very important role in country’s development. However, this is applicable for micro, small and average business which is realized to help a business with its progress and failure. The spirit, attitude or behavior or anything related to entrepreneurship will help a business to develop. If there is no such attitude, then the business will fail (not develop well). This research focus on the influence of entrepreneurship to the ability of development micro-business (UMK) Kota Waingapu sub-district (study in a sub-district in Kota Waingapu sub-regency). Entrepreneurship in this research will focus on 3 aspects, that is, ability or innovation efforts, ability or brave to take risk and ability to take and use new opportunity.The research result shows that just the ability or brave to take risk and the ability to take and use new opportunity that have significant influence to the ability of micro-bussiness to develop well in Kamalaputih sub-district. So this thing should be maintained and improved. While the ability or innovation effort has no significant influence to the ability to develop of UMK in Kamalaputih sub-district. So UMK needs to increase its ability or innovation effort. Keywords : entrepreneurship, innovation, risk, opportunity and ability to develop
