Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this reasearch was to develop assessment tools based on class for Biology Science subject on VIIIth grade public Junior High School. This study held on January until March 2014. This kind of study was Research and Development. This development is based on ADDIE models which consists of 5 phase, they are Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. This subject of reasearch was KI dan KD and main materialis on VIIIth grade. This reasearch was analyzed by descriptive. Validity of assessment tools was determined by average score from validator. 3,6 for written assessment, 3,79 for behavior assessment, 3,86 for work assessment, 3,84 product assessment, 3,91 project assessment, 3,95 for self assessment, 3,95 for portofolio assessment and all were categorized in very valid. Based on result of reasearch can be concluded that validity result of assessment tools based on class for Biology science subject on VIIIth grade got very valid category and could be implemented in learning process.Keyword: Development Reasearch, Assessment Tools Based on Class, Biology Science SubjectWisuda Oktober

Abstract

Abstract : Research has been conducted at Pekanbaru SMP N 8 in April to November 2018 which aims to determine the correlation between student learning independence and learning media with the science learning outcomes of class VIII students at Pekanbaru 8 Junior High School using purposive sampling technique. The sample used in this study was students of class VIII-5, amounting to 30 students. The variables observed in this study were student learning independence and learning media and the instruments used were learning independence questionnaires and learning media. Furthermore, the data were analyzed by Spearman rank correlation analysis at the level of 5% using the SPSS application and descriptive analysis was carried out. The results of the analysis of learning independence and learning media have a correlation at a significant level of 5% with student learning outcomes. Learning independence has a correlation of 0.765 with learning outcomes and learning media has a correlation of 0.728 with learning outcomes. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there is a strong correlation between learning independence and learning media with science learning outcomes which is equal to 0.798.Keywords: Correlation, Learning Independence, Learning Media, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the learning difficulties of students in the biology learning process of class X SMA PGRI Pekanbaru. This type of research is a descriptive study. The research was conducted at SMA PGRI Pekanbaru from November to December 2019. The sampling technique used the total sampling technique so that the sample in the study, namely class X IPA SMA PGRI Pekanbaru were 30 students and class X IPS SMA PGRI Pekanbaru were 30 students in total. a total of 60 students. Collecting data using questionnaire distribution techniques and data collection instruments using a questionnaire. The questionnaire trial data was tested for validity and reliability using the SPSS software program. The results showed that the average indicator of internal factors causing learning difficulties in biology class X IPS SMA PGRI Pekanbaru was 71% in the "Difficulty" category. The average indicator of internal factors that cause learning difficulties in biology class X IPA SMA PGRI Pekanbaru is 75% with the category "Enough difficulty". The average indicator of external factors causing learning difficulties in biology class X IPS SMA PGRI Pekanbaru is 70% in the "Difficulty" category. The average indicator of external factors causing learning difficulties in biology class X IPA SMA PGRI Pekanbaru is 74% in the "Difficulty" category. The average learning difficulty of students in the biology learning process for class X SMA PGRI Pekanbaru is 73% in the "Difficulty" category.Key Words: Biology, difficulties, learning

Abstract

Abstrack: This study aims to determine the relationship of interest with student learning outcomes on learning biology class XI SMA Negeri 14 Pekanbaru.Penelitian conducted in January to February 2017. This type of research is a correlation research that aims to see whether there is a relationship between two variables or multiple variables. The subjects of this study were students of class XI IPA 1 academic year 2016/2017 which amounted to 34 students consisting of 22 female students and 12 male students. The sample determination was done by survey method. The research instrument used is a closed questionnaire consisting of 25 statements and 5 indicators of feelings of pleasure, interest, student attention, student involvement and student learning outcomes that comprise aspects of cognitive aspects. The data collected was analyzed using SPSS version 20.00 for windows based on the calculation using Likert scale to know the relationship of interest with learning outcomes. The results showed that the relationship of interest with student learning outcomes on the cognitive aspect to get the value of calculation r of coefficient of product moment correlation is 0.602 which means significant 5% significance level (0.349). Furthermore it can be said that rhitung ≥ rtabel, so the hypothesis accepted and the nature of the relationship of interest with cognitive learning outcomes is positive with strong category.Keywords: Student's Interest And Learning Outcomes, Correlation

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine students' interest in social science programs in choosing cross-interest Biology at SMAN Kubu and SMAN Kubu Babussalam, Rokan Hilir Regency. The type of research is descriptive research. This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Kubu, SMAN 1 Kubu Babussalam and SMAN 2 Kubu Babussalam in class X (ten). The time of the study started from August to October 2020. The sample in this study was determined by the purposive sampling technique. The sample in the study were 35 students from SMAN 1 Kubu, 36 students from SMAN 1 Kubu Babussalam, 38 students from SMAN 2 Kubu Babussalam with a total of 109 people. Data collection uses online questionnaire distribution techniques through the Google Forms Platform and data collection instruments use questionnaires. The test data of the questionnaire were tested for validity and reliability using the SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) V. 22.00 software program. After the data was collected, it was analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the indicators of student interest in the social science program in choosing cross-interest in biology at the three schools were classified as high with an average of 80%.Key Words: Biology,interest, Social Science

Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to produce LKPD oriented guided inquiry learning model on the material structure and function of plant tissue to improve the thinking ability krtitis learners class XI SMA. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Biology Education Department of PMIPA Faculty of Teacher Training and Education University of Riau and SMAN 1 Benai in June-October 2017. This type of research is development research by using ADDIE model. Research subject KD 3.3 Analyzing the relationship between cell structure in plant tissue and organ function in plants. The instruments of data collection are the LKPD assessment / validation sheets, and the students' response questionnaire. The assessment / validation sheet consists of 3 aspects: design aspect, pedagogic aspect and content aspect. The data obtained from the development of LKPD oriented guided inquiry learning model on the material structure and function of plant tissue to improve critical thinking ability of class XI high school students who have validated 4 (four) validators, consisting of 2 lecturers and 2 high school teachers. Furthermore, I tested and also distributed a questionnaire addressed to Biology Education students semester 5 as many as 15 people. After trial I, LKPD was revised. Then conducted II trials as well as distributing a questionnaire aimed at 20 students of grade XI SMAN 1 Benai. The end result of trial I and II is the questionnaire of the respondents' response. The validation result shows the mean score of design aspect of 3 LKPD developed is 3.49 categories is very valid, the pedagogic aspect score is 3.30 valid category, and the mean content aspect score is 3.55 valid categories. The average score of all aspects of the three LKPD is 3.45 valid categories. The results of the first test showed an average score of 3.29 with very good category. The results of the second trial showed the average score of 3.42 with good category. Results of analysis of the students' answers on LKPD oriented Guided Inquiry learning model to improve the ability of critical thinking is 92.2 with very good category.Keywords: Student Worksheets, Guided Inquiry, Critical Thinking

Abstract

Abstract : Research has been carried out at Pekanbaru SMP 14 in September to December 2018 which aims to determine the effectiveness and constraints on the use of laboratories in supporting science learning in Pekanbaru Public Middle School 2017/2018 academic year. The sample in this study were science teachers as many as 3 science teachers and grade VIII and IX students as many as 234 students. The research instrument used a closed questionnaire, observation sheet, and documentation. Then the data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results showed that the effectiveness of laboratory use in supporting science learning in Pekanbaru State Middle School 14/2014 academic year was 68.45% (quite effective). While the barriers to the use of science laboratories in SMP Negeri 14 Pekanbaru include: the intensity of teachers in participating in laboratory training and the availability of time for practicum activities that are still low and the lack of laboratory facilities that are still lacking. Based on the results of the research it was concluded that the effectiveness of the use of laboratories in supporting science learning in Pekanbaru Public Middle School 2017/2018 academic year was in the category of being quite effective.Keywords: Effectiveness, barriers, laboratories, Science Learning

Abstract

Absrtack: This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes through the application of Discovery Learning LKPD based on Gerakan material and digestive system class XI IPA SMAN 3 Tanah Putih. This research was conducted at SMAN 3 Tanah Putih Tanah Putih Subdistrict Rokan Hilir Regency in XI class of odd semester of academic year 2017/2018 in October - November 2017. This research is a Class Action Research (PTK) which was conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this study were students of class XI IPA SMAN 3 Tanah Putih academic year 2017/2018 consisting of 23 people consisting of 9 men and 14 women. The parameters observed are the absorption of learners, the learners' learning outcomes and the attitudes of learners. After the implementation of LKPD discovery learning-based absorption of learners in the first cycle of 89.65% good category increased in cycle II to 92.26% very good category. Students learn mastery in cycle I get an average of 86.95% good category increased in cycle II to 95.65% very good category. The attitude of learners in cycle I obtained an average of 85.38% good category increased in cycle II to 91.53% good category. From the results of the study can be concluded that the implementation of LKPD based learning discovery learning can improve the learning outcomes of students class XI IPA SMAN 3 Tanah Putih.Keywords: Implementation Worksheet Learners, Learning Results, Attitudes Learners

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to produce a principle module for management and work safety in the laboratory for prospective teachers. This research was conducted at the Biology Education Study Program Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty of Riau University and the Subject Teachers' Association (MGMP) Pekanbaru City, in July - March 2020. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) which refers to the ADDIE model with the stages of Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The instrument used in this study was a validation sheet and response questionnaire. Validation is done to assess the validity of the modules that have been developed, namely by validating by the validator and a limited trial phase I by Biology Education Students of FKIP UR semester 8, and limited trial phase II by prospective biology education teachers who have not participated in the PPG. The assessment of the modules developed includes 5 aspects of assessment, namely aspects of module format, graphics, picture illustrations, language, and content eligibility. Module quality based on validity gets a score of 3.26 with a very valid category, and module usage from the limited trial results stages I and II get a score of 3.46 with a very good category. Based on these data it can be concluded that the principles of work management and safety modules in the laboratory for prospective teachers have been categorized as modules that have the potential to be used on a large scale.Key Words: Content Knowledge, Module, Prospective Teachers

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to determine the ability of students scientific literacy based on aspects of competence and knowledge as well as student achievement biology in cross biological interest of learning of class XI program of social sciences in SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru which was held in May until November 2019. The sample in this research were 145 students of class XI IIS in SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru. The instrumen used in data colletion using 2015 PISA question containing biologial content consisted of 14 questions on the topic of scientific method, biodiversity and respiratory system disorder. The results of the data analysis showed that students scientific literacy skills in aspects of competence and knowlwdge fall into the very poor category with an percentage of <54%. In the aspect of competence consists of three indicators, namely explain phenomen scientifially 43,15%, evaluate and design sientific enquiry 37,75%, and interpret data and evidence scientifically 34,48%. In the aspects of knowledge consist of three indicator namely content knowledge 44,13%, procedural knowledge 23,10%, and epistemic knowledge 34,48%. The student achievement biology with an average of 70,30 with less category. Student achievement are based in three matererials, namely the scientific method 70,20, biodiversity 72,96 and respiratory system 67,75.Key Words: Scientific Literacy, Student Ahievement Biology, Cross Biologial Interest
