Abstract

Abstract : Virus material is one of the material that is closely related to the life and problems of everyday learners. This material is abstract so that it has difficulty level and problem complexity which is high enough. The purpose of this research is to produce a valid students worksheet based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) to increasing critical thinking skills on virus material. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Biology Education Department of PMIPA FKIP University of Riau and Senior High School 8 Pekanbaru in March-July 2017. This type of research is a development research using 4D model conducted up to development stage. There are 3 students worksheet developed. The instruments of data collection in this research are students worksheet assessment / validation sheets, and student response questionnaires. After students worksheet was developed, validated by 4 validators and then tested I on 15 students Biology Education FKIP UR, and trial II on 20 students of Class XI in Senior High School 8 Pekanbaru. The validation result shows that the score of feasibility aspect of content of 3 LKPD developed is 4.02 valid categories, the mean score of design aspect is 4.00 valid categories, and the pedagogical aspect score is 3.88 valid categories. The average score of all aspects of the five LKPD is 3.96 valid categories. The results of the first test showed a mean score of 4.23 with very good category. The results of the second trial showed the average score of 4.02 with good category. The results of the answer analysis on trial II showed the average value of 92.75 with very good category. Students worksheet based Problem Based Learning (PBL) on virus material can increase understanding and knowledge about virus and can improve critical thinking ability of learners.Keywords: Development, LKPD, Problem Based Learning (PBL), Critical Thinking, Virus

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to improve Student’achievement of students in class XI MIA 2 of SMA Negeri 1 Langgam by implementation of Cooperative Learning Model STAD is assited by domino card It was done in SMA Negeri 1 Langgam on Agustus of September 2019. Parameters which measure were student’s achievement. The methods of this research was classroom action research by implementation of Cooperative Learning Model STAD is assited by domino card. It was done in two cylce. There were planning step, acting step, observation step and reflection step for each cycle. The first cycle to apply learning materials about the structure and function of plant tissue and in the second cycle about the structure and function of animal tissue. The research instrument used was a learning device that consist of a lesson plan, syllabus, assesment authentic sheet, observation shee. The result of this research showed that Student’achievement in the first cycle was 80,87 with a enough categories and increased in the second cycle up to 87,95 with a good categories. Completeness percentage in the first cycle was 75% and increased in the second cycle up to 100%. Student’s attitude in the first cycle was 80,91 with a enough categories and increased in the second cycle up to 85,55 with a good categories. The value of students’ presentation skills in the first cycle was 80,53 with a enough categories and increased in the second cycle up to 84,94 with a predicate good categories. It can be conclude that application of the STAD type cooperative learning model with the help of domino card in biology subjects can improve can improve learning outcomes of student in class XI MIA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Langgam.Key Words: Cooperative Type STAD, Domino Card, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: This study aim to analyze the completeness of the tools and materialsfor the biology laboratory practicum based on the basic competencies of the 2013curriculum in class XI biology subjects. The type of this research is descriptivequantitative research. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru. Thetime of this research is in January-February 2022. The preparation of researchinstrument is carried out at the Study Program of Biology Education, Riau University.Data and data sources were obtained from biology laboratories, teachers andlaboratory assistants. The data collection instrument in the study were in the form ofobservation sheets and interview sheets. Based on the results of data analysis, it isknown that the biological laboratory equipment and materials at SMAN 8 Pekanbarubased on the Regulation of the Minister of National Education Number 24 of 2007obtained an average of 90.33 % with a very complete category. Meanwhile, thebiological laboratory equipment and materials at SMAN 8 Pekanbaru based on thebasic competencies of the curriculum 2013 obtained an average of 89.25 % with a verycomplete category. So it can be concluded that the tools and materials at SMAN 8Pekanbaru have met the standards that have been set, both in terms of indicators ofeducational equipment or teaching aids, experimental equipment, and consumables.Keywords: Analysis, Tools, Materials, Biology laboratories, Curriculum 2013

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the tools and materials for the biology laboratory practicum based on the basic competencies of the 2013 curriculum in biology class XI semester II SMA Swasta Education. This type of research is descriptive research with quantitative methods. The preparation of research instruments was carried out at the Biology Education Study Program, Riau University. This research was conducted at the Education Private High School Pekanbaru. The time of this research is from August 3, 2021 to January 22, 2022. The data and data sources are researchers conducting laboratory observations, interviewing biology teachers and laboratory assistants. The data collection instruments in this study were observation sheets and interview sheets. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the tools and materials for biology laboratory practicum class XI semester II in SMA Swasta Education based on the Minister of National Education Regulation No. 24 of 2007 and No. 08 of 2018 is included in the good category, obtaining an average percentage of 77.33%. Meanwhile, the tools and materials for the biology laboratory practicum class XI semester II in SMA Swasta Education based on the basic competencies of the 2013 curriculum are included in the sufficient category to obtain an average percentage of 60.63%.Key Words: Analysis, Curriculum, Biology

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the quality of the animated video learning media on the material of the XI high school class coordination system developed. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) with analyze, design, development, implementation and evaluation stages. This research was only carried out until stage 3, namely development. The analysis, design, development of internal validation and phase I limited trials were carried out at the Biology Education Faculty of the University of Riau. Meanwhile, for external validation and limited trial phase II, it was conducted at SMAN 1 Pekanbaru. The research was conducted in January-June 2022. There are two data collection instruments used: validation sheets and respondent questionnaires. The results of the validation of animated videos on the coordination system material for class XI SMA are at an average value of 3.81 with a very valid category. The result of the limited trial score I was 3.79 with a very good category. The result of the limited trial score II was 3.90 in the very good category. Thus, the animation video on the coordination system material for class XI SMA has been successfully developed with very good quality and can be implemented on a wider scale.Key Words: Learning Media, Video Animation, Coordination System

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to identify daily test items for the motion system material in humans based on higher-order thinking skills at SMPN 1 Bengkalis in the 2021/2022 academic year. This type of research is descriptive research. The research approach used is a qualitative approach. This research was conducted at SMPN 1 Bengkalis in January-June 2022. The type of data used is documents. The source of the data used is secondary data in the form of odd semester daily test questions on the human movement system in the form of multiple choice in the science subjects of SMPN 1 Bengkalis for the 2021/2022 academic year. The method of data collection is done by documentation study. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model data triangulation which consists of data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing and verification. The results showed that the daily test questions on the human movement system material in the science subjects of class VIII SMPN 1 Bengkalis in the 2021/2022 academic year were mostly dominated by lower order thinking skills (LOTS) questions with a percentage of 80% and only about 20% or a small part of the questions. which is of the HOTS type and that is only at the C4 cognitive level (analyzing). Questions with cognitive level C1 (remembering) as many as 6 questions or 60%, C2 (understanding) as many as 2 questions or 20%, C3 (applying) not found in questions or 0%, C4 (analyzing) as many as 2 questions or 20%, C5 (evaluating) and C6 (creating) were not found in the questions or 0%.Key Words:Analysis, HOTS, LOTS, question

Abstract

Abstract: Research has been conducted which aims to determine the correlation between motivation to learn with biology learning outcomes SMAS AL-Husniyah. The research was conducted in class X IPA 3 SMAS AL-Husniyah maret-Oktober 2022. Research data collection was carried out by giving a set of statements to research respondents, then it was tasted on class X IPA 3 which consisted of 30 students. While for secondary data taken from midterm exam scores obtained through biology subject teachers. The research result werw used to determine the correlation between learning motivation and biology learning outcomes in class X SMAS AL-Husniyah. The correlation research stage is to test the validity and reliability, descriptive analysis, analysis of learning outcomes, correlation analysis and analysis of the coefficient of determination. The conclusion is that there is a signidicant correlation with the r count value 0,354 which is included in the medium category, this shows that there is a correlation between learning motivation and biology learning outcomes in class X SMAS AL-Husniyah.Key Words: Correlation, Motivation, Learning Outcomes
