Abstract

Aim of Community service activities, namely counse to explain and invite farmers in Tempos Village Gerung District, West Lombok Regency, to be familiar with the implementation of the organic farming system, and encourage farming communities to utilize the potential of natural resources well and wisely to protect agricultural land from degradation (damage) and good production in the long term. For this reason, counseling has been carried out in the agricultural sector, namely the organic farming system with the results of farmers and the community understands that the organic farming system has the potential to be implemented on agricultural land in the village of Tempos, and to improve soil health and protect the environment from degradation (damage) in the long term (sustainable). Farmers are motivated to improve their ability to manage their farming with an organic farming system.

Abstract

This activity aims to introduce digital media to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) actors, in Desa Bukit Tinggi. The introduction was carried out with the method of discussion and sharing about digital media to promote the results of MSMEs. The targets of this discussion and sharing are teenagers, MSME actors and Bukit Tinggi Village administrators. Resource persons, namely students of the Communication Science study program and digital media experts from HSG Media. During this discussion and sharing, participants were introduced to digital and technical media in making materials to complement digital media, participants be able to create good and correct and interesting content starting from the process of creation, editing to the process of being posted on social media. For sustainability, participants are expected to be practitioners or initiators in managing digital media as a forum for MSME activists to market products or crafts produced by the local community. Participants' interest and enthusiasm for the material provided was quite high, as seen from the many questions from participants and discussions with resource persons to deepen and strengthen knowledge in digital media.

Abstract

Rice is a staple food that is generally consumed by mostly Indonesian people. However, in 2020 the productivity of rice plants in Indonesia has decreased. This study aims to determine the effect of yield and production of several varieties of rice grown in various sizes of planting media/pots other than in rice fields. This study was arranged according to a completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors (the first factor was size of planting media/pot, while the second factor was type of rice varieties). There were 3 types size of planting media used, i.e 40x40 cm, 50x50 cm and 60x60cm, while the types of lowland rice varieties used wee Ciherang, Inpari 32 and Mekongga. There were 9 treatment combinations in this study. Each treatment was repeated 3 times, so that 27 experimental pots were obtained. The observational data in this study were analyzed using ANOVA (Diversity Analysis) and then further tested with 5% BNJ. The results of the analysis showed that the treatment of pot size was significantly different to the parameters of plant height at the age of 42 to 112 days after planting. The highest results were obtained from the 50 x 50 (cm) pot size treatment, which was 98.88 cm. Out of the treatment of 60 x 60 (cm) planting media, the results were significantly different for the weight parameter of 1000 grains of rice, with the highest achievement value of 25.66 grams. The highest plant growth was obtained from the treatment of 50 x 50 (cm) planting media which was planted with Ciherang variety, which was 99.66 cm. Meanwhile, the highest production was obtained from the treatment of 60 x 60 (cm) planting media planted with the Inpari 32 variety, which was 26.77 grams.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of several types of manure with Trichoderma spp. fungal fermentation, the effect of local micro-organisms (MOL) on banana weevils and the interaction of these two factors on the growth and yield of peanut plants. This study used an experimental method with field experiments conducted in Pancoran Hamlet, Banyu Urip Village, Gerung District, West Lombok Regency. This research was conducted from January to March 2023. The design used was a randomized block design (RBD) with factorial experiments. The first factor is the Local Micro Organisms (MOL) of banana weevil with 2 levels, namely M0 (without MOL) and M1 (Using MOL). The second factor was several types of manure with 4 levels, namely P0 (without fertilizer), P1 (chicken manure), P2 (cow manure) and P3 (goat manure). observation parameters. The treatment of several types of manure had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height at 4MST, 5MST and 6MST, the parameters of the number of leaves, the number of pods, the weight of the wet pods, the weight of the dry pods and the weight of the seeds planted. However, there is no interaction between the two factors. Treatment of goat manure (P3) Gives the highest yield on the parameter of seed weight planting up to 41.86 g/plant.

Abstract

Inorganic fertilizers have an important role in improving the productivity of chili plants, but continuous use will cause soil quality to decline. The use of ameliorant is expected to improve soil quality. This experiment was aimed to find out the best effect of ameliorant composition and dose on organic-C, soil pH, population of phosphate solubilizing bacteria, and yield of chili plant in Inceptisols Jatinangor. The research was conducted in plastic house of Agricultural Faculty of Padjadjaran University on January – Mei 2018. The design experiment was factorial randomizedblock design which consisted of two factors with three replications. The first factor was ameliorant composition consisting of four levels (a1 = 80% cow manure + 20% Biochar Coconut Shell ; a2 = 95% Composition a1 + 5% Dolomite and Guano ; a3 = 90% Composition a1 + 10% dolomite and guano; a4 = 85% composition a1 + 15% dolomite and guano), and the second factor was ameliorant dose consisting of four levels (t0 = 0 t ha-1 ; t1 = 2 t ha-1 ; t2 = 4 t ha-1 ; t3= 6 t ha-1). The results showed that there were no interaction between composition and dose of ameliorant to organic-C, soil pH, population of phosphate solubilizing bacteria, and yield of chili on Inceptisols Jatinangor. The 4 t ha-1 of ameliorant dose increased organic-C, soil pH, population of phosphate solubilizing bacteria, and yield of chili plant by 44,9%.ABSTRAK Pupuk anorganik meningkatkan produktivitas tanaman cabai, namun penggunaan terus menerus akan menyebabkan kualitas tanah menurun. Penggunaan amelioran diharapkan dapat memperbaiki kualitas tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komposisi dan dosis amelioran terbaik terhadap C organik, pH tanah, populasi bakteri pelarut fosfat, dan hasil tanaman cabai di Inceptisols Jatinangor. Penelitian dilakukan di rumah plastik Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Padjadjaran bulan Januari – Mei 2018 menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok faktorial terdiri dari dua faktor dengan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah komposisi amelioran yang terdiri dari empat taraf (a1 = 80% kotoran sapi + 20% biochar batok kelapa; a2 = 95% komposisi a1 + 5% dolomit dan guano; a3 = 90% komposisi a1 + 10% dolomit dan guano; a4 = 85% komposisi a1 + 15% dolomit dan guano), dan faktor kedua adalah dosis amelioran yang terdiri dari empat taraf (t0 = 0 t ha-1 ; t1 = 2 t ha-1 ; t2 = 4 t ha-1 ; t3= 6 t ha-1). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat interaksi antara komposisi dan dosis amelioran terhadap C-organik, pH tanah, populasi BPF, dan hasil cabai pada Inceptisols Jatinangor. Dosis amelioran 4 t ha-1 meningkatkan C-organik, pH tanah, populasi BPF, dan meningkatkan hasil tanaman cabai sebesar 44,9%.
