Abstract

Criterion Referenced Test (PAP) establishes specific standards that students must meet, providing objective evaluations and helping teachers identify which students need remedial support. PAP ensures that all students achieve the required basic competencies. This research describes the application of PAP in analysing Arabic language scores at the Madarah Ibtidaiyah level. Utilizing a qualitative approach with descriptive research, data was collected through unstructured interviews with the school principal and Arabic teacher, as well as observations of student grades. Data analysis involved organizing data by research objectives and interpreting findings accordingly. The study found that PAP facilitates teachers in conducting grade corrections or remedial actions when students fail to meet the set criteria, which is a minimum of 33% or a grade C. The student’s raw Arabic scores are converted to a letter scale, revealing cases where students did not meet the minimum score, necessitating remediation. At MI Miftahul Huda, PAP is used with a letter scale conversion to evaluate grade 4 students' Arabic language performance, with a minimum criterion set at 55% (grade C). This approach simplifies the implementation of remedial measures for students not achieving passing grades and proves effective in tracking student progress.

Abstract

Background. This article delves into the realm of epistemology, a crucial branch of the philosophy of science that explores the nature of knowledge and its reflection on human reality. Method. The research methodology involves library research and descriptive research, with data collected from various reading materials, contributing to a comprehensive exploration of epistemology and its role in language education. Purpose. The research aims to 1) comprehend the concept of educational epistemology and 2) ascertain the role of epistemology in Arabic language learning. By achieving these objectives, the study seeks to provide insights into the application of philosophical knowledge in Arabic language education, specifically addressing the four language skills: listening, writing, speaking, and reading. Results. The discussion reveals three distinct epistemologies in Arabic language learning: Bayani emphasizes textual authority, Irfani relies on experiential knowledge through spiritual exercises, and Burhani relies solely on reason and logical evidence. These epistemologies shape the approach to understanding and acquiring knowledge, offering diverse perspectives within the context of Arabic language education.Top of Form. Conclusion. In conclusion, this article provides valuable insights into the essence of epistemology, its diverse applications in Arabic language learning, and the philosophical underpinnings of language education.

Abstract

21st-century learning requires the use of innovative media such as Prezi to deliver material in an engaging way, especially in facing the challenges of distance learning. In learning Arabic, understanding qawaid (Arabic rules) is important to form a strong basis for language understanding, especially in reading ability (maharah qira'ah). Learning media such as Prezi can help improve student’s understanding of qawaid and Arabic reading skills, as well as provide effective solutions in the context of distance learning. The aim of this research is to test the effectiveness of Prezi media in conveying qawaid al-lughah al-arabiyyah material and its impact on increasing student’s maharah qira'ah. This research methodology uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experiment design, where the experimental and control classes are divided based on certain criteria. The results of data analysis using the Independent Sample T-Test showed significant differences between the post-test learning outcomes of the experimental class which used Prezi media and the control class. Learning qawā'id through Prezi media is effective in increasing the mahārah qirā'ah of class XI students at MAN Insan Cendikia Padang Pariaman, with the experimental class's N-Gain Score reaching 58%, quite effective. However, it is necessary to develop Prezi for Arabic fonts. It is recommended that future research measure teachers' readiness to use online learning media. Prezi media is important in distance learning, highlighting the importance of choosing the right media. In conclusion, the use of Prezi media in qawaid learning has the potential to increase student’s understanding and proficiency in Arabic, but needs further adaptation and development to maximize its benefits in a distance learning context.

Abstract

This research delves into the management of Arabic language competency within the Arabic Program, focusing on its fundamentals and members' experiences. Arabic plays a crucial role in the global context, leading to the emergence of institutions and services for Arabic language learning. Effective competency management becomes key to excellence in mastering the language. The study employs a qualitative approach, exploring both technical aspects and members' experiences. It combines John F. Mee's management theory with psycholinguistics in analyzing Arabic Program learning activities and programs. This research aims to analyze Arabic Language Program Management using John F. Mee's model in managing the language competency of organizations or study groups. Key findings include activity planning, organizational structure, motivation, and direct supervision. Additionally, the research highlights challenges such as variations in members' initial understanding and the need for diverse learning approaches. The practical implications involve developing more effective Arabic language competency management strategies by participating in many competition activities from various division branches, Arabic language training programs, and workshops, benefiting members by motivation, and increasing the competitiveness of organizations or learning groups globally through providing rewards to members published via social media platforms. This research contributes to the literature on competency management and Arabic language learning.Abstrak: Penelitian ini mendalami pengelolaan kompetensi bahasa Arab dalam Program Bahasa Arab, dengan fokus pada fundamental dan pengalaman anggota. Bahasa Arab memainkan peran penting dalam konteks global, yang menyebabkan munculnya institusi dan layanan pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Manajemen kompetensi yang efektif menjadi kunci keunggulan dalam penguasaan bahasa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, mengeksplorasi aspek teknis dan pengalaman anggota. Menggabungkan teori manajemen John F. Mee dengan psikolinguistik dalam menganalisis kegiatan dan program pembelajaran Bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Manajemen Program Bahasa Arab dengan model John F. Mee dalam pengelolaan kompetensi bahasa organisasi atau kelompok belajar. Temuan utama meliputi perencanaan kegiatan, struktur organisasi, motivasi, dan pengawasan langsung. Selain itu, penelitian ini menyoroti tantangan seperti variasi dalam pemahaman awal anggota dan perlunya pendekatan pembelajaran yang beragam. Implikasi praktisnya meliputi pengembangan strategi manajemen kompetensi bahasa Arab yang lebih efektif dengan mengikuti banyak kegiatan lomba dari berbagai cabang devisi, program latihan dan workshop bahasa arab, memberikan manfaat bagi anggota berupa motivasi, dan meningkatkan daya saing organisasi atau kelompok pembelajaran secara global melalui pemberian reward kepada anggota yang dipublikasikan melalui platfrom media sosial. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap literatur manajemen kompetensi dan pembelajaran bahasa Arab.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the Madrasah labor model at the Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty of UIN Imam Bonjol Padang by adopting three Madrasahs at Adabiyah, Diniyah Putri College and Sumatra Thawalib Padang Panjang College. This research uses a qualitative research design and uses descriptive analysis methods. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the research show that the form of local wisdom and school development strategy at Adabiyah is through the integration of local wisdom by internalizing Minangkabau philosophical values in learning, while at the Diniyah Puteri Padang Panjang college internalizing local wisdom in the form of internalizing a typical local curriculum related to the affective values of a woman Minang. The Madrasah labor model that is suitable for the Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty of UIN Imam Bonjol is a Madrasah labor developed on the basis of local culture and wisdom. Culture and local wisdom-based Madrasahs are a Madrasah model organized to meet national education standards that are enriched with comparative and competitive advantages based on noble cultural values so that students can learn actively to develop all their potential.
