Abstract

The 18th-century French Revolution stands as one of the most significant events in world history, ushering in sweeping changes in social, political, and economic structures. This article aims to explore and analyze the involvement of women in various revolutionary activities, as well as the changes in their rights and social positions during and after the revolution. The research methodology employed is historical research, encompassing heuristic approaches, source criticism to assess authenticity and data credibility, interpretation to understand the context and significance of events, and historiography. The findings reveal that women played crucial roles during the French Revolution in advocating for gender equality. The research elucidates that women were actively involved in various aspects of the revolution, including demonstrations, political organizations, and advocacy for their rights. Although many of their demands were not immediately realized post-revolution, their contributions planted seeds for future feminist movements and paved the way for broader social change.

Abstract

This research aims to review the educational thoughts of Syekh Sulaiman Ar-Rasuli from the perspective of educational philosophy, focusing on moral education, humanism, and value education within the context of Islamic education in Indonesia. Through the reform of traditional education systems into madrasah, Syekh Sulaiman Ar-Rasuli was able to preserve classical values while adapting education to meet the needs of society. This study employs library research methodology with thematic analysis, where literature related to philosophical thought and concepts of Islamic education is analyzed in depth. The results of the study indicate that the thoughts of Syekh Sulaiman Ar-Rasuli align moral education, humanitarian values, and ethics with an ultimate goal that brings goodness to individuals and society at large. The relevance of these thoughts is not only evident in his time but also holds great potential for the development of modern Islamic education that emphasizes moral values and humanism as a foundation for shaping virtuous character.

Abstract

Nagari Pagaruyung which is located in Tanah Datar Regency is famous for producing rendang, especially "Randang Baluik" (Rendang Eel). On average, Nagari Pagaruyung women can cook this special food. Randang Baluik itself is made from eels and typical leaves that are used as a complement to its manufacture. The difference is that with other rendang such as meat rendang, eel rendang contains more typical leaves of eel rendang than the eel itself. The leaves for making rendang are very easy to find, especially in the Pagaruyung area. The process of making eel rendang is not much different from meat rendang, only the ingredients are different. The taste is also different. In addition, cooking randang baluik has become a hereditary tradition for the people of Pagaruyung and Tanah Datar in general. However, the community has not widely understood that randang baluik is an inherent cultural identity and as an economic source for the community. This is the researcher's finding and will find a solution for the community so that this cultural identity belongs to the community and is not lost to the times. The specific purpose of this research is to provide solutions to the government and the community about the importance of the cultural identity of randang baluik and as a source of additional income for the community. In addition, offering a solution, namely making Pagaruyung a country that produces randang baluik and later becomes a tourism potential, especially culinary tourism. This research will use a descriptive method of analysis using a historical approach. In addition, it also uses the literature method, namely by looking at sources such as previous studies that also discuss rendang and will also use the interview method with several sources.

Abstract

This research is motivated by awareness of the important role of youth in preserving local history and culture. The Sintuk War Museum exists because of the enthusiasm of a young man from Nagari Sintuk named Rio Tampati Putra. Proving that youth leadership and initiative can be key in preserving and reviving local history. This research is qualitative research that uses historical research methods. Several stages in the Historiography process involve steps such as Heuristics (data collection), Verification (source criticism), Interpretation (interpretation), and historiography (historical writing). The results of this research show that Rio Tampati Putra's background in establishing the Sintuk War Museum was to teach the younger generation about the great struggle of Indonesia's ancestors in gaining independence. Through visionary and collaborative leadership, Rio Tampati Putra succeeded in making the Sintuk War Museum a source of historical learning for students and forming a community that is beneficial for the younger generation through collaboration with various parties.
