Abstract

Education is the embodiment of a nation, a nation that has a strong character is able to make itself a dignified nation. So that the application of character education in the history of education is very good if implemented properly. Character education is also a planned and conscious effort in order to pass on the character one already has while at the same time building even better character, to improve the quality of individuals in society. At present the values of educational character for students are fading. Judging from the fact that today there are many students who have violated the norms of life and many of them are violating the law as is often the case at this time, there are many cases such as brawls, bullying, persecution and sexual violence committed by students at this time. , students who do not respect teachers and parents, students who have a lot of westernized culture, we rarely find nowadays who are proud and use local products. From these problems through history learning can build the character of students. The purpose of this research is to build students' character through past stories of historical figures in the history lesson of the independence curriculum. This study uses a qualitative method that uses technical analysis of literature. The result of this study is to explain the solution to the problem of forming character education through reading and implementing stories of historical figures in the independence curriculum. Learning the formation of the nation's character through stories of the past and a new twist in histiography in Indonesia is the main reason for the need for character education in education; teaching history for the formation of the character of students. Teachers are required to implement it.

Abstract

Nagari Pagaruyung which is located in Tanah Datar Regency is famous for producing rendang, especially "Randang Baluik" (Rendang Eel). On average, Nagari Pagaruyung women can cook this special food. Randang Baluik itself is made from eels and typical leaves that are used as a complement to its manufacture. The difference is that with other rendang such as meat rendang, eel rendang contains more typical leaves of eel rendang than the eel itself. The leaves for making rendang are very easy to find, especially in the Pagaruyung area. The process of making eel rendang is not much different from meat rendang, only the ingredients are different. The taste is also different. In addition, cooking randang baluik has become a hereditary tradition for the people of Pagaruyung and Tanah Datar in general. However, the community has not widely understood that randang baluik is an inherent cultural identity and as an economic source for the community. This is the researcher's finding and will find a solution for the community so that this cultural identity belongs to the community and is not lost to the times. The specific purpose of this research is to provide solutions to the government and the community about the importance of the cultural identity of randang baluik and as a source of additional income for the community. In addition, offering a solution, namely making Pagaruyung a country that produces randang baluik and later becomes a tourism potential, especially culinary tourism. This research will use a descriptive method of analysis using a historical approach. In addition, it also uses the literature method, namely by looking at sources such as previous studies that also discuss rendang and will also use the interview method with several sources.

Abstract

This research is based on the weak ability of students to implement historical learning assessments due to the lack of supporting competencies. This study aims to analyze the use of transversal competencies to achieve learning objectives in learning planning in historical learning assessment courses. This study used experimental methods to analyze data. The result of the research is that transversal competencies applied in learning and delivering material in the history learning assessment course are more meaningful and more accessible to implement coupled with the history learning assessment course, which is a practical course. The application of transversal competencies in the learning planning of history learning assessment courses in History Department students will also emphasize specific skills, knowledge, values, and attitudes necessary for effective participation in supporting the student learning process.

Abstract

Budaya literasi membaca dan literasi numerasi menjadi salah satu fondasi dalam terlaksananya Pendidikan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pendampingan terhadap guru SMPN 6 Sungai Nyalo Koto XI Tarusan mengenai penggunaan metode gamifikasi sebagai upaya meningkatkan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi peserta didik dalam mendukung implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Metode dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dalam beberapa tahapan. Tahapan pertama berupa persiapan dan sosialisasi yang dilakukan pada mitra terkait dengan kegiatan pendampingan literasi dan numerasi. Tahapan selanjutnya adalah perencanaan dalam menentukan pakar dan narasumber dalam kegiatan tersebut. Pakar yang ahli dibidangnya serta yang mampu melakukan pendampingan dalam menerapkan literasi dan numerasi melalui gamifikasi. Tahapan terakhir yang dilaksanakan adalah pelaksanaan kegiatan yang berupa pendampingan program literasi dan numerasi melalui gamifikasi, serta produk yang dihasilkan oleh guru-guru dalam pelatihan ini berupa pemilihan jenis gamifikasi untuk meningkatkan literasi dan numerasi yang sesuai dengan materi dan karakteristik peserta didik. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah setelah guru SMPN 6 Sungai Nyalo Koto XI Tarusan mengikuti kegiatan, para guru dapat mengetahui lebih dalam lagi tentang metode gamifikasi serta menguasai bagaimana cara menerapakan metode gamifikasi dalam proses pembelajaran dikelas untuk meningkatkan minat serta kemampuan literasi dan numerasi siswa.

Abstract

Sanggar Kegiatan Belajar (SKB) 1 Tanah Datar, located in Nagari Pagaruyung, Tanjung Emas District, Tanah Datar Regency, is a strategic educational institution with great development potential. Despite having adequate facilities and the support of committed educators, SKB 1 Tanah Datar faces obstacles in curriculum implementation, especially in the Pancasila Student Profile program. The implementation of this community service program aims to improve the competence of students and tutors at SKB 1 Tanah Datar, with a focus on culinary training. The implementation method includes coordination with the UPT SKB 1 Tanah Datar, theory and practice-based training, and evaluation to ensure the quality of training. Through the transfer of knowledge, sustainability, and income generation approaches. This training is expected to improve learners' skills, strengthen teachers' competencies, and create new business opportunities that support the economic welfare of especially learners (package B and C). The evaluation showed that despite challenges in teacher competence and curriculum understanding, this activity had a positive impact on developing the skills of learners and student teachers at SKB 1 Tanah Datar
