Abstract

The Nyadran Tradition in Silawan Hamlet, Kutorojo Village, Kajen Sub-district, Pekalongan Regency reflects the harmony between Islamic values and Javanese culture. This study aims to explore the Nyadran practice as a case study representing a creative adaptation to changing times and social solidarity in rural communities. A qualitative approach is employed, focusing on a case study, involving participatory observation and in-depth interviews. The research findings indicate that Nyadran is not merely a ritual of honoring ancestors but also an expression of the cultural richness and spirituality within the community. The harmonious integration of Islamic elements with local Javanese traditions not only strengthens religious and cultural identities but also enhances social solidarity and the values of mutual cooperation. Thus, Nyadran serves not only as a valuable symbol of cultural diversity but also enriches the understanding of the harmony between local traditions and religions in the lives of rural communities in Indonesia.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan dan melatih seni kaligrafi bagi peserta didik kelas VI SD Negeri 02 Koto Tinggi, Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. Kegiatan ini dilakukan karena seni kaligrafi belum menjadi bagian dari pembelajaran formal di sekolah, sehingga diperlukan pelatihan yang dapat menumbuhkan minat siswa terhadap seni Islam dan memperkaya keterampilan menulis huruf Arab. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah ceramah, demonstrasi, dan latihan (drill). Siswa diperkenalkan dengan jenis khat dan teknik penulisan kaligrafi, khususnya khat tsulust, yang disampaikan melalui metode ceramah dan praktik langsung. Pelaksanaan pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa siswa antusias dan mampu mengikuti tahapan yang diberikan meskipun waktu pelaksanaan terbatas. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan seni kaligrafi dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap seni kaligrafi serta membantu mereka dalam mengembangkan keterampilan dasar menulis khat

Abstract

Indonesia is still facing serious challenges in waste management. The World Bank’s Atlas of Sustainable Development Goals reported that Indonesia ranks fifth among the world’s largest waste-producing countries. Data from the National Waste Management Information System (SIPSN) of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in July 2024 recorded a total of 35.1 million tons of national waste, with 38.6% (13.5 million tons) managed and 61.4% (21.6 million tons) unmanaged. This situation highlights the urgency of long-term solutions through education from an early age. This study aims to analyze the role of ecopedagogy in cultivating green character through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in the context of 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) waste management at the elementary school level. The study employed a library research method by reviewing primary and secondary sources such as journal articles, dissertations, proceedings, and official reports. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques through reduction, classification, and synthesis of theories. The findings reveal that ecopedagogy serves as a philosophical foundation for ecological critical awareness, PBL as an active learning strategy based on real problems, and green character as the ultimate goal reflected in environmentally responsible behavior. The integration of these three aspects culminates in 3R practices in elementary schools, which not only enhance cognitive understanding but also foster affective attitudes and psychomotor skills. This study concludes that the integration of ecopedagogy, PBL, and green character can serve as an effective environmental education model for developing environmentally conscious and sustainable generations. ABSTRAKIndonesia masih menghadapi persoalan serius dalam pengelolaan sampah. Laporan World Bank’s Atlas of Sustainable Development Goals menyebutkan bahwa Indonesia merupakan penghasil sampah terbesar kelima di dunia. Data Sistem Informasi Pengelolaan Sampah Nasional (SIPSN) KLHK pada Juli 2024 mencatat jumlah timbunan sampah nasional mencapai 35,1 juta ton, dengan 38,6% atau 13,5 juta ton terkelola dan 61,4% atau 21,6 juta ton sisanya tidak terkelola. Kondisi ini menuntut adanya solusi jangka panjang melalui pendidikan sejak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran ecopedagogy dalam penanaman green character melalui model Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada konteks pengelolaan sampah 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode library research dengan menelaah berbagai literatur primer dan sekunder berupa artikel jurnal, disertasi, prosiding, dan laporan resmi. Analisis dilakukan dengan teknik analisis isi melalui reduksi, klasifikasi, dan sintesis teori. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ecopedagogy berfungsi sebagai landasan filosofis kesadaran ekologis, PBL sebagai strategi pembelajaran berbasis masalah nyata, dan green character sebagai tujuan berupa perilaku peduli lingkungan. Integrasi ketiganya bermuara pada praktik pengelolaan sampah 3R di sekolah dasar yang tidak hanya meningkatkan pemahaman kognitif, tetapi juga menumbuhkan sikap afektif dan keterampilan psikomotorik siswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi ecopedagogy, PBL, dan green character dapat menjadi model pendidikan lingkungan yang efektif dalam membentuk generasi sadar lingkungan dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Administrative training in student organizations has an important role in improving administrative order and strengthening student soft skills. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of text training in the context of student organizations at UIN K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan. The background of this research is the need to improve the quality of administration and develop student soft skills in student organizations. The method of conducting this research includes the stages of training assistance, designing training programs, implementing training, and evaluating training results. The training program is designed to cover administrative skills, which include time management, document management, effective communication, and problem solving. Based on the results of the research, it can be interpreted that administrative training is effective in creating administrative order and strengthening student soft skills in student organizations at UIN K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan. This training makes a significant contribution to improving students' physical skills and soft skill development. Suggestions for further research include involving a control group to compare the effectiveness of the training with the group that did not receive training.

Abstract

In facing the demands of an increasingly complex era of globalization, critical thinking skills are an important aspect for students in improving their analysis, evaluation and problem solving skills. UIN FTIK Student Senate K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan realized the importance of developing critical thinking skills and introduced the Legislation School program. Through an approach of presenting material, discussion and argumentative debate, this program aims to optimize student potential in developing critical thinking skills effectively. The research results show that the Legislation School program has had a significant positive impact in improving the critical thinking skills of FTIK UIN K.H. students. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan. Participants demonstrated increased ability to analyze information, identify logical arguments, and evaluate opinions critically. This program has proven to be an effective solution for improving students' critical thinking skills in a college environment. In conclusion, the Legislation School program with an approach to presenting material, discussion and argumentative debate succeeded in optimizing the critical thinking skills of FTIK UIN K.H. students. The integration of similar programs in the curriculum is expected to improve the quality of higher education and prepare students to face global challenges in the future.

Abstract

Both formal and non-formal education must implement character education. In life, good character and morals are the most important things. The application and implementation of moral education includes three environments, namely the family, school, community environments. With moral education, it is expected to be able to create children who are moral and have good morals so that they are useful for others. The purpose of this study is to describe the concept of character education in Ki Hajar Dewantara's tri-center theory of education and its implications for moral education in the 5.0 era. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research with a literature survey technique. Data collection techniques are sourced from journals, books, and other scientific articles. Based on a review of several scientific works, it was found that character education must be arranged and formulated clearly, such as the tri-center education paradigm pioneered Ki Hajar Dewantara. Based on research conducted by researchers through a review of various literature, it can be concluded that the flow of globalization can change children's character and morals. With this, every child certainly needs to be given good character education for the sake of their own and the nation's sustainability in the future. Through the concept of character education initiated by Ki Hadjar Dewantara, namely the three centers of education, it can provide a good impact. The three centers of education are the most important thing in children's character education because there are three elements in it, namely family, school and also society.
