Abstract

Character education is a learning process that provides support for the social-emotional and ethical development of students and an effort to build character. Character education aims to form a person who is devoted and faithful and who is more responsible for all behaviors possessed by students, such as self-confidence, innovation, passion, competitiveness, creativity, honesty, high social spirit, and kindness. With The application of character education in every aspect of learning is expected to support the creation of a more moral education. This article is the result of an analysis using the literature study method, or literature review. The results of the study show that exemplary teachers are continuously needed in efforts and struggles to instill noble values in strengthening student character, both in aspects of behavior, attitudes, and habits in the school environment and in other environments. The success of character education in schools depends entirely on how teachers conduct lessons. A teacher is a role model; a teacher is the pinnacle of everything. What a teacher does affects the development of students.

Abstract

Sains dan agama selalu berkaitan dan tidak dapat dipisahkan. Bagi sebagian populasi manusia, banyak yang tidak percaya bahwa segala sesuatu yang terjadi dimuka bumi telah diatur bahkan telah dipaparkan dalam Al-Qur’an. Begitu juga dengan Sains dan kejadian alam lainnya. Pada artikel ini, penulis memilih judul ‘Integrasi Sains dan Agama serta Implikasinya terhadap Pendidikan Islam.” Integrasi berarti memadukan antara ilmu sains dan agama. Pendidikan merupakan salah satu cara yang efektif untuk memadukan keduanya. Pembuatan mini riset ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif dengan melakukan pengumpulan data sebanyak 24 peserta melalui google formulir dan 1 narasumber wawancara dengan menanyakan 5 pertanyaan sebagai berikut; 1.Apakah anda mengetahui adanya hubungan antara sains dengan agama islam? dan dari mana mengetahui hal tersebut? 2.Apa hubungan antara sains dan pendidikan islam? 3.Apa yang akan terjadi apabila mempelajari ilmu sains tidak dibarengi oleh ilmu pendidikan agama islam? 4.Apa contoh materi sains yang berhubungan dengan pendidikan agama islam? 5.Apa yang akan dilakukan oleh guru apabila terdapat siswa yang menolak keterkaitan antara sains dan agama? Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya keterkaitan antara sains dan agama. Mempelajari ilmu sains harus dibarengi dengan ilmu agama, karena sains tanpa agama hanyalah suatu ilmu yang kosong.

Abstract

This research is based on students' low mathematical problem solving abilities. One effort that can improve this situation is by using the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model. The aim of this research is to determine the differences in the improvement and influence of students' mathematical understanding abilities using the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model assisted by ludo magnets and students using the conventional learning model with a scientific approach in class IV students at SDN Mekarjaya 28. The type of research used is quasi-experimental or quasi-experimental research. The design of this research is a non-equivalent control group design by providing an initial ability test, namely a pretest and a final ability test, namely a posttest, after being given treatment in the two classes that have been determined. The samples chosen in this research were 20 students in class IV A and 20 students in class IV B. The instruments used in this research were tests and non-tests. The results of the research show that the difference in increasing mathematical problem solving abilities of class IV A students who study using the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model get better results compared to class IV B students who study using conventional learning models with a scientific approach. There is also an influence of implementing the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities in mathematics learning in elementary schools. Looking at the results obtained, the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model can be used as an alternative to be used in the classroom learning process so that the learning carried out is more enjoyable and more meaningful.   Keywords: ludo magnet media, students mathematical problem solving ability, teams games tournament type cooperative model
