Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of poverty and the Gender Inequality Index (GII) on Indonesia’s Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) per capita across 34 provinces using secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) for the years 2021–2023. Employing path analysis, the study examines both the direct and indirect effects of poverty and gender inequality on regional economic performance. The findings reveal that the poverty rate significantly negatively affects GRDP per capita, with a path coefficient of -0.305, indicating that higher poverty levels are associated with lower economic output per person. Furthermore, the GII significantly affects poverty (coefficient = 0.244), suggesting that increased gender inequality contributes to worsening poverty. Additionally, GII directly negatively affects GRDP per capita (coefficient = -0.269), implying that regions with greater gender disparities tend to have lower economic performance. The study also confirms an indirect effect, where gender inequality exacerbates poverty, depressing economic productivity and growth. These findings underscore the importance of integrating gender equality into economic development strategies. To achieve inclusive and sustainable economic growth, policies must reduce gender-based barriers in education, employment, and healthcare, empowering women to contribute fully to economic development and poverty reduction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Domestic Investment (PMDN), economic agglomeration, and Human Development Index (HDI) on regional inequality in 12 eastern Indonesian provinces during the 2019-2023 period. Regional inequality is measured using the Williamson Index, which reflects the level of economic inequality between regions. The analysis method used is panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach. The results show that FDI and agglomeration have a positive and significant influence on regional inequality, meaning that increased investment and concentration of economic activity can actually widen the gap if not balanced with equalization policies. Meanwhile, HDI has a negative and significant effect, indicating that improving people's quality of life can reduce regional inequality. The model has a coefficient of determination of 94.29%, which indicates that the three independent variables make a large contribution in explaining the variation in inter-regional inequality. These findings provide an important basis for the government to formulate more inclusive and equitable development policies in eastern Indonesi

Abstract

Abstract Generation Z and millennials are more interested in leading healthy lives. According to Central Agency on Statistics; Statistics Indonesia, 29.94% of Indonesia's population is said to face health issues in 2022. They cannot be distinguished from instant food at the same time. Many healthy food supply companies use this to create appealing products for the general public. One is PT Lemonilo Indonesia Sehat, which releases Mie Lemonilo and advertises it as healthy noodles without the 3Ps (preservatives, artificial colors, and flavors). Along with providing nutritious food items, Lemonilo has partnered with South Korean boyband NCT Dream, whose appealing image is seen to fit with the brand's reputation. This study aims to determine whether NCT Dream's role as a brand ambassador can boost consumers' interest in purchasing Lemonilo goods. Popularity and awards in the form of photo cards were investigated as indicators in this study, while purchase intention was the independent variable. The quantitative method is used in this associative form of research. This study used a simple random sample of 183 respondents from the Twitter base of @nct_menfess between the ages of 15 and 30. The research results show that NCT Dream as a brand ambassador can influence buying interest in the community by 25.23%. At the same time, the rest are other factors outside of research.  Keywords: Popularity, Prizes, NCT Dream, Purchase Intention
