Motivation to learn is one of the factors that influence learning success. The greater the motivation to learn, the greater the opportunity to achieve learning success. The zoning system is a policy for admitting new students by using the distance between the studeZnt's residence and the school. With this system, the implementation of the admission of new students is no longer seen in terms of value. So the zoning system will undermine learning motivation. The formulation of the problem discussed is how the zoning system is implemented in SMP Negeri 1 Majenang, what factors affect student motivation, how is the impact of the zoning system on the learning motivation of SMP Negeri 1 Majenang students. Abstract

The coronavirus that hits Indonesia at this time has greatly affected people’s activities especially the field of education. The stipulation of the Large-Scale Social Restriction (LSSR) to address this condition has generated a new learning policy and behavioral changes. This study aims at analyzing the form of policy and the impact of the LSSR and the phenomenon of changes in student behavior during the implementation of the PSBB policy in the RA Kartini Cluster. In this study, researchers used qualitative methods with descriptive analysis and case study approaches. Subjects of this study were teachers and students of Grades I-VI of Gugus RA Kartini. Results indicated that the LSSR implemented at Gugus RA Kartini affected the learning policy regarding offline learning. Besides, the LSSR also caused several bad effects, such as making students less diligent and less interested, changes in discipline, honesty, social care, communication, and religious behaviors. With the findings of this study, it is advisable that the policy of implementing LSSR needs to be considered immediately. But, this research can be said to be limited only to the impact caused by the implementation of LSSR, so that this research can be developed based on other aspects that support the effectiveness of learning and changes in student behavior.

Abstract

Abstract

This experimental study employed nonequivalent control group design to examine the effect of the flipped classroom method on students’ achievement in Islamic education learning among grade XII students at SMA Negeri 1 Sumpiuh in 2024. The flipped classroom method was implemented by instructing students to study the material independently through learning videos followed by elaboration and discussion through online platforms. For data analysis, tests were administered to 30 students in the experimental groupand 30 students in the control groups. The results of the N-gain Score calculation showed that the improvement in material comprehension among students in the experimental group was higher than that of the control group. The N-gain score for the experimental group students was 0.3562, while that for the control group was 0.1511. Statistical analysis using an independent samples t-test showed that the comprehension ability of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group (p > 0.05). Based on these findings, the flipped classroom method can be considered an effective alternative strategy to enhance students’ understanding of learning materials in online Islamic education.
