Abstract

This activity aims to enhance students' competencies in the field of entrepreneurship through training in the production of Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) using the fermentation method, as part of the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5). The method employed involved educational sessions and hands-on training based on an experiential learning approach, involving 30 eleventh-grade students. The activity included theoretical introduction, practical VCO production, packaging, and marketing planning. Evaluation results indicated a significant increase in students' knowledge from 42% to 85%. Students demonstrated strong practical skills throughout the VCO production process, along with the development of entrepreneurial attitudes such as responsibility, collaboration, and creativity. This training proved effective as a contextual learning medium that reinforces Pancasila values and 21st-century skills.

Abstract

Differentiated learning is the core of the independent curriculum now.The aim of this research is to develop an instrument for measuring the cognitive learning outcomes of high school students based on differentiated learning on elasticity material and to obtainits characteristics. Differentiation, in this case, is differentiation of student learning styles. The instrument grid is arranged based on indicators of cognitive learning outcomes, which are then used to compile question items. The test instrument consists of two test sets, each of which has 9 items including two anchor itemsso that the total number of items is 16 items and has been validated by 6 experts. The validated instrument was tested on 252 respondents spread across high schools in the low, medium and high categories. Dichotomous data were analyzed using the Partial Credit Model (PCM). The trial results showed that all 16 items and the differentiated learning-based student cognitive learning outcomes test instrument were proven to be valid, fit the PCM model, and reliable, which means all items were in the good category. Thus, the test instrument developed meets the requirements for measuring the cognitive learning outcomes of high school students on elasticity material based on differentiated learning.

Abstract

Blumea balsamifera contains bioactive metabolites that are presumed to support the presence of endophytic bacteria capable of producing secondary metabolites with pesticidal potential, making this plant a promising source of eco-friendly biopesticides. This study aimed to isolate and identify endophytic bacteria associated with B. balsamifera and to evaluate the insecticidal activity of their secondary metabolites against Bemisia tabaci. Endophytic bacteria were isolated using the Direct Planting and Grinding methods, followed by purification, Gram staining, and metabolite production through liquid culture in Luria-Bertani (LB) medium. The isolated strain was identified as a Gram-negative, short rod-shaped bacterium producing a yellowish supernatant, which was successfully extracted using ethyl acetate to obtain an extracellular metabolite fraction. Toxicity bioassays revealed a clear dose–response pattern, with 24-hour mortality of B. tabaci increasing from 55.00% at 35% concentration to 80.00% at 75% concentration. Probit analysis yielded an LC₅₀ value of 1500.95, while LT₅₀ decreased significantly from 42.26 hours to 15.87 hours as metabolite concentration increased. These findings confirm that endophytic bacteria isolated from B. balsamifera are capable of producing secondary metabolites effective in suppressing B. tabaci populations, highlighting their strong potential for development as environmentally friendly plant-based biopesticides.
