Abstract

The purpose of this article is to increase our understanding of how carrying out activities during the month of Ramadan can improve character education; the influence of the activity itself on character education; and factors that support and hinder the implementation of these activities in fostering character education. Data obtained through literature and field research supports the descriptive analysis method used in this research. Researchers also use observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires to collect data. Then, all the data that has been collected is processed through various steps, starting with data reduction (retrieving the necessary data), data display (displaying the data), and data verification (generating conclusions). Researchers used double-checking techniques, persistent observation, and triangulation to test the validity of the data. The research results show that the activities carried out during the month of Ramadan are very varied and diverse. Keywords: Character education, Ramadan activities, positive character.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the problems of using digital-based innovative learning media in the digitalization era which is an independent learning program in basic education. This problem is very important to study more deeply, considering that learning media is an important component that must exist in the implementation of learning. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The research was conducted at SDN Sidosermo 1 Surabaya during December 2022. The data needed in this study included literature studies, direct observation, supported by questionnaire results and interviews with PPG students who carried out PPL at SDN Sidosermo 1 Surabaya. The results of this study note that there are still teachers who have not utilized digital-based innovative learning media during learning. Teachers still use the lecture method and simple media in the form of pictures and word cards to support learning. The lack of use of digital-based innovative learning media is not only seen in Sidosermo 1 Surabaya Elementary School, but also in several schools in Indonesia. This is known from data which states that around 60% of teachers in Indonesia still do not master information and communication technology. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the use of digital-based innovative learning media is still minimal and needs to be improved in the future. It is intended that there is a balance between technological advances and scientific advances in the school environment, which in turn can improve the quality of learning

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2018, nilai membaca di Indonesia masih di bawah rata-rata. Karena minat baca siswa tidak berubah, diperlukan kajian literatur untuk mengkategorikan data secara sistematis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk mengkaji lebih detail aspek-aspek terkait minat baca dengan menggunakan metode pencarian literatur dan teknik Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Metode SLR ini menggunakan tiga level evaluasi yang meliputi penilaian eksternal, internal dan kualitas (QA). Hasil akhir yang diperoleh menunjukkan terdapat 10 penelitian yang  relevan. Riset tersebut ditelaah dan diperoleh kesimpulan tentang penyebab, akibat dan solusi atas rendahnya minat baca. Penyebab rendahnya minat baca terdiri dari dua faktor, yaitu faktor internal seperti kurangnya motivasi diri, kurang membaca dan kurangnya alasan/tujuan, sedangkan faktor eksternal adalah kurangnya sarana prasarana, kurangnya waktu, teknologi dan ekonomi. serta faktor lingkungan. Akibat dari rendahnya minat baca antara lain rendahnya hasil belajar, rendahnya mutu dan kualitas sumber daya manusia, keterbelakangan dan ketertinggalan, tingginya pengangguran, krisis literasi dan kekurangan sumber daya. Solusi rendahnya minat baca dapat ditemukan melalui kegiatan/program, bahan bacaan, tempat membaca dan teknologi. Hasil SLR ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi dan penilaian yang meningkatkan minat baca siswa.
