Abstract

As a developed country with leading expertise in the field of transportation infrastructure, Japan plays a very influential and vital role in the development of the MRT project in Indonesia. The contribution made by Japan through their expertise and experience in building transportation infrastructure can bring substantial benefits to the development of MRT in Indonesia. This research aims to explain the relations between Indonesia and Japan through the Group of 20 (G-20) meeting held in Bali in 2022. By using qualitative descriptive methods, this study will draw more on secondary data contained in related literature and online sources. The results of this research show that Japan's participation in the Group of Twenty (G-20) provides an important context for examining its role and contribution in the context of multilateral cooperation. The G20 is an international forum consisting of developed and developing countries that discusses global economic and financial issues. Within the G20 framework, Japan can interact with other member countries and increase their collaboration in developing MRT transportation in Indonesia. Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the traditional egek/sasi practices in Malaumkarta Village, Sorong Regency, Indonesia. It explores the roles of various stakeholders in integrating indigenous ecological knowledge with modern conservation efforts to achieve sustainable development. Using a qualitative case study approach, it highlights the role of a multi-stakeholder collaboration, including local youth, NGOs, religious institutions, local government, and the customary council. The study reveals that the successful localization of SDGs in Malaumkarta is attributed to a robust multi-stakeholder collaborative framework, encompassing local youth, NGOs, religious institutions, local government, and the customary council. The inaugural Egek Festival in 2023 exemplifies this collaboration, symbolizing the Moi tribe's commitment to sustainable resource management and cultural preservation. The research highlights the potential of integrating traditional ecological knowledge into modern conservation efforts and the importance of adapting global sustainability goals to local contexts. While the study's geographical scope and timeframe present limitations, its findings have significant implications for policy, practice, and future research in sustainable development, particularly in indigenous contexts. The Malaumkarta case offers valuable insights for achieving SDGs while preserving cultural heritage and ecological integrity, potentially informing similar initiatives worldwide

Abstract

This research describes Indonesia's position in promoting Raja Ampat tourism by using soft power in the form of digital diplomacy. For this reason, a qualitative method was used with an online interview approach and using the conceptual framework of digital diplomacy and tourism. The results of this study indicate that digital diplomacy regarding Raja Ampat's tourism potential is carried out using the branding "Wonderful Indonesia", and "Pesona Indonesia" digitally through the websites and also through several social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram). It was found that there were several obstacles that needed to get the relevant Government's attention. namely, the limited funds faced by Raja Ampat management to manage the website, the limited resources in operating the website, and the limited staff involved in promoting Raja Ampat to international exhibitions. This research can be used as study material for policy makers to help promote tourism through digital diplomacy and can be used as a model for future research.
