Abstract

The purposes of the study are to discover: the learning outcomes in Fashion Design subject; the motivation, attitude, creativity, and parental support of students studying in Fashion Design; the influence of learning motivation on learning outcomes of Fashion Design; the influence of students’ attitudes on the results of Fashion Design learning; the influence of creativity on learning outcomes of Fashion Design; the influence of parental support on learning outcomes of Fashion Design; and the influence of learning motivation, attitude, creativity, and parental support collectively on learning outcomes of Fashion Design subject in SMK 2 Gowa. This type of research is a correlational quantitative research and the sampling technique used is Krejcie table based on the simple randomsampling method. Thus, the number of samples taken for this study were 56 people. Data collection techniques employed questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis used were descriptive analysis, classical assumption test, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study reveal that the learning outcomes of Fashion Design were in very high category; the learning motivation, attitude, creativity, and parental support in studying fashion design are in high category; the motivation has a significant influence on learning outcomes of Fashion Design; the attitudes have a significant influence on learning outcomes of Fashion Design; the creativity has a significant influence on learning outcomes in Fashion Design; the parental support has a significant influence on learning outcomes of Fashion Design; collectively, the motivation, attitudes, creativity, and parental support have significant influences onlearning outcomes of Fashion Design at SMK Negeri 2 Gowa.

Abstract

This study aims (1) to describe the teachers’ performance in conducting learning at SMKN (public vocational schools) in Makassar city, (2) to identify work commitment, work attitude, work motivation, and principals’ leadership at several SMKN in Makassar city, (3) to analyze the influence of work commitment on the performance of productive teachers at SMKN in Makassar city, (4) to analyze the influence of work attitude on the performance of productive teachers at SMKN in Makassar city, (5) to analyze the influence of work motivation on the performance of productive teachers at SMKN in Makassar City, (6) to analyze the influence of the principals’ leadership on the performance of productive teachers at SMKN in Makassar city, and (7) to analyze the influence of work commitment, work attitude, work motivation, and the principals’ leadership collectively on the performance of teachers at SMKN in Makassar city. This type of research is quantitative research with a correlational approach. The research sample were 116 productive teachers at SMKN in Makassar city. The sampling technique employed a cluster random sampling technique. The analysisused were descriptive statistical analysis and inferential analysis of simple and multiple regression inferential models. The results of the study reveal that (1) the teachers’ performance are in high category; (2) there is a positive and significant influence of work commitment on teachers’ performance; (3) there is a positive and significant influence of work attitude on teachers’ performance; (4) there is a positive and significant influence of work motivation on teachers’ performance, (5) there is a positive and significant influence of the principals’ leadership on teachers’ performance; (6) there is a positive and significant influence of work commitment, work attitude, work motivation, and principals’ leadership collectively on teachers’ performance; and (7) there is a positive and significant influence of work commitment, work attitude, work motivation, and principals’ leadership collectively on teachers’ performance

Susanto, 2023. Analysis of Students' Critical Thinking Skills and Its Influencing Factors at Vocational High School 5 Makassar. Thesis. Technology and Vocational Education, Postgraduate Program. State University of Makassar. (supervised by Muhammad Ardi and Anas Arfandi). This type of study is quantitative research using a correlational approach which aims to examine the level of critical thinking skills, students’ achievement motivation, students’ family environment, teacher’s teaching methods, and students’ learning attitudes at SMKN 5 Makassar, examine the effect of students’ achievement motivation, students’ family environment, teacher’s teaching methods, and students' learning attitudes on the students’ critical thinking skills at SMKN 5 Makassar. The population of the study were all grade XI students of the Construction and Property Technology Expertise Program at SMKN 5 Makassar. The sampling technique employed random sampling. The results of the study reveal that the level of students' critical thinking skills is 50.85% which is in high category. The students’ achievement motivation is in high category with 50.85%, the family environment is in high category with 50.85%, the teacher’s teaching methods is in high category with 59.32%, and the students' learning attitudes are in high category with 54.24%. The students’ achievement motivation, family environment, teacher’s teaching methods, and students’ learning attitudes collectively influence Y by 72.2%.
