Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesiapan siswa SMK dan sekolah menghadapi praktik kerja industri dan kesiapan pihak industri melaksanakan praktik kerja industri. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis survei. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh guru pembimbing prakerin dan kepala sekolah, instruktur prakerin di industri, dan seluruh siswa kelas XI program keahlian teknik bangunan di Kota Makassar yang telah melaksanakan prakerin. Penarikan sampel menggunakan ProportionateSampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket, pengamatan, dan dokumentasi, sedang analisis data dengan teknik statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa SMK siap melakukan praktik kerja industri. Hal itu didukung oleh tingkat pengetahuan siswa, sosialisasi yang dilakukan oleh sekolah, dan kemampuan keterampilan dasar siswa yang baik. SMK siap melakukan praktik kerja industri. Industri pelaksana prakerin siap melakukan praktik kerja industri terutama pada industri golongan besar dan menengah, sedang industri golongan kecil hanya 75%. Kerja sama yang terbangun antara industri dan sekolah masih kurang baik terutama pada industri-industri golongan kecil, sedang golongan menengah dan besar sudah cukup baik walaupun masih sangat terbatas. Kata kunci: kesiapan, praktik kerja industri, program studi keahlian teknik bangunanTHE READINESS IN IMPLEMENTING THE INDUSTRIAL WORK EXPERIENCE PROGRAM OF THE VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL CIVIL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT IN MAKASSAR CITY Abstract:This study was aimed to describe the readiness of the vocational high school students, the schools and the industries to implement the industrial work experience program. This study belongs to a survey method. The population consisted of all teachers supervising the industrial work experience program and principals, all instructors in industries, and all grade XI students in the civil engineering program in Makassar City joining the industrial work experience program. The sample was drawn using the proportional stratified sampling technique. The data were collected using questionnaires, observations, and documentation, while the data were analyzed descriptively. The findings showed that the students were ready to implement the industrial work experience program. This was supported by the students’ knowledge level, the socialization done by the schools, and the students’ good basic skill ability. The vocational high schools were ready to implement the industrial work experience program. The industries were also ready to implement the industrial work experience program, especially those belonging to the large and medium scales, while the small scale industries were not fully ready (only 75%). The cooperation between industries and schools were not good, especially in the small scale industries, while in the large and medium scale industries, the cooperation was better, though it was still limited. Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to: (1) investigate the readiness of Vocational High School(VHS) students, the schools, and the industry to implement the industrialpracticum, (2) describe the implementation of the industrial practicum, and (3)describe the result of the industrial practicum implementation. This study was anevaluation research study using the Countenance Model. The research populationcomprised all teachers and principals of VHSs, all the industrial practicuminstructors, and all Year III VHS students of the building engineering expertiseprogram in Makassar City. The sample was selected using the proportionatestratified random sampling technique. The results showed that VHS students wereready to carry out the industrial practicum. This was supported by theirknowledge, basic skills and ability and socialization by the schools. VHSs wereready to implement the industrial practicum. Large- and middle-scale industrieswere ready to implement the industrial practicum. However, only 75% of smallscaleindustries were ready to do so. Cooperation between industries, especiallysmall ones, and vocational schools was less satisfactory. A few middle- and largescaleindustries, on the other hand, were quite good. The students activities in theindustrial practicum ran well because they were supported by their ability to adaptthemselves with the industrial environment. Their basic practical skills were poor.The teachers were also good, indicated by the intensity of their visits to theindustries during the industrial practicum. Such visits improved the studentsmotivation and supported them. The instructors also performed the activities well,especially in guiding the students during the industrial practicum. The instructorscontinuously provided guidance to the students before accomplishing assignmentsand checked the results. The final assessment by the instructors included studentsattendance, discipline, motivation, work quality, initiative, creativity, attitudes, andperformance. In the final achievement, most students were in the very satisfactorycategory and only a few were in the moderate category.Keywords: program evaluation, industrial practicum

Abstract

Graduates of vocational high school (SMK) are prepared to work, further study, and be an entrepreneurship. This study aims to describe the interests of students of Parepare Vocational High School State 2 after graduating, are they interested in working, continuing study, or be an entrepreneur? To answer these questions, the study was conducted by collecting data using a questionnaire. The population of the study was all students of class XII of Parepare Vocational High School State 2, and the sample used cluster random sampling with a total sample of 166 respondents. The results of the study show that 1) the students of Parepare Vocational High School State 2 were interested to work and it dominantly in the High category; 2) the students of Parepare Vocational High School State 2 whom interest to continue their studies, dominantly in the Very High category; 3) the interest of Parepare Vocational High School State 2 students in an entrepreneurship dominantly in the High category; and 4) vocational students are dominantly interested in continuing their studies at a higher level of 61%, while 23% are interested in working, and the remaining 16% are interested in entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menganalisis seberapa besar pengetahuan kewirausahaan mempengaruhi minat berwirausaha, mendeskripsikan seberapa besar efikasi diri mempengaruhi minat berwirausaha, serta menganalisis seberapa besar pengaruh secara simultan pengetahuan kewirausahaan dan efikasi diri terhadap minat berwirausaha Siswa Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan SMK di Kota Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitaif dengan metode ex post facto. Dalam penelitian ini, populasinya adalah siswa kelas XII TKJ di kota Makassar yang berjumlah 148 siswa. Adapun sampel penelitian berjumlah 83 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) Pengetahuan kewirausahaan tidak mampu memberikan dampak yang positif serta signifikan terhadap minat berwirausaha, (2) Efikasi diri mampu memberikan dampak positif serta signifikan terhadap minat berwirausaha, (3) Selanjutnya pengetahuan kewirausahaan dan efikasi diri secara simultan memberikan dampak yang positif serta signifikan terhadap minat berwirausaha. Rekomendasi dalam penelitian ini adalah baiknya praktik kewirausahaan yang dilakukan di Sekolah lebih menekankan pada bidang kompetensi keahlian masing-masing agar siswa dapat mengembangkan keahliannya dan menjadi referensi siswa untuk berwirausaha sesuai kompetensi keahlian setelah menempuh pendiidkan di SMK

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' competence and entrepreneurship through skills training on the use of Total Station at SMKN 5 Majene. Despite adequate school facilities, the curriculum related to surveying technology, especially the use of Total Station, is still underemphasized, even though this tool is standard in modern construction projects. This program conducted training and workshops involving lecturers who are mapping survey experts. In addition, this program also equips students with entrepreneurial knowledge, opens up career opportunities in the surveying and mapping sector, and increases the competitiveness of graduates in the work industry. The methods used include practical training, ongoing coaching, and comprehensive evaluation to ensure objectives are achieved. The results obtained are that the participants (students) of SMKN 5 Majene have the knowledge and skills in operating a Total Station and have entrepreneurial knowledge who are ready to work and able to utilize their technical skills in the world of work in the field of construction and surveying, which is also expected to contribute to the development of the local economy. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi dan kewirausahaan siswa melalui pelatihan keterampilan penggunaan Total Station di SMKN 5 Majene. Meskipun fasilitas sekolah memadai, kurikulum terkait teknologi survei, khususnya penggunaan Total Station, masih kurang ditekankan, padahal alat ini menjadi standar dalam proyek konstruksi modern. Program ini melaksanakan pelatihan dan workshop yang melibatkan para dosen pengabdi ahli survei pemetaan. Selain itu, program ini juga membekali siswa dengan pengetahuan kewirausahaan, membuka peluang karir di sektor survei dan pemetaan, serta meningkatkan daya saing lulusan di industri kerja. Metode yang digunakan mencakup pelatihan praktis, pembinaan berkelanjutan, dan evaluasi komprehensif untuk memastikan tujuan tercapai. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah para peserta (siswa) SMKN 5 Majene memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengoperasikan Total Station serta telah memiliki pengetahuan kewirausahaan yang siap bekerja dan mampu memanfaatkan keterampilan teknisnya dalam dunia kerja di bidang konstruksi dan survei, yang juga diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada pengembangan ekonomi lokal.

Abstract

This correlation study aims to determine: (1) description of learning achievement in the subject of Motor (Engine), Automotive Electrical and Power Train Systems as well as description of the ability to diagnose damage to motorcycles of students of the Automotive Engineering Education Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Makassar State University; (2) the relationship between learning achievement in the Motor (Engine) course and the ability to diagnose damage to motorbikes of PTO FT UNM students, (3) the relationship between learning achievement in the Automotive Electrical subject and the ability to diagnose damage to motorbikes of PTO FT UNM students, (4) the relationship between learning achievement in the Power Train Systems course and the ability to diagnose damage to motorbikes of PTO FT UNM students, (5) the joint relationship between the Motor (Engine) courses, Automotive Electrical and Power Train Systems with the ability to diagnose damage to motorcycle PTO FT UNM students. A sample of 110 people was drawn by proportional random sampling from a population of 152 people. The results showed (1) the learning achievement of students majoring in PTO FT UNM in the subject of Motor, Automotive Electrical and Power Train Systems was classified as "high" while the ability to diagnose damage to motorcycles was "quite high" (2) there was a positive and very strong relationship between learning achievement in the Motor (Engine) course and the ability to diagnose damage to motorcycles for students of the PTO FT UNM Study Program, (3) there is a positive and "quite strong" relationship between learning achievement in the Electrical subject Automotive with the ability to diagnose damage to motorcycles of students of the PTO FT UNM Study Program, (4) there is a positive but relatively “low” relationship between learning achievement in the Power Train Systems course and the ability to diagnose damage to motorcycles of Study Program students PTO FT UNM, (5) there is a jointly positive and "very strong" relationship between learning achievement in the subjects Motor (Engine), Automotive Electrical and Power Train Systems with the ability to diagnose damage to motorcycles for students of the PTO FT UNM Study Program

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the effect of interest in using digital wallets on the use of digital wallets among students at Makassar State University; (2) the effect of digital technology literacy on the use of digital wallets among students at Makassar State University; (3) the effect of interest and digital technology literacy on the use of digital wallets among students at Makassar State University. The type of research used is quantitative using the survey method. The sample in this study were 400 students at Makassar State University. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation techniques. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis, prerequisite analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that; (1) there is an influence of interest on the use of digital wallets in students at Makassar State University; (2) there is an influence of technological literacy on the use of digital wallets in students at Makassar State University; (3) there is an influence of interest and technological literacy together on the use of digital wallets in students at Makassar State University

Abstract

This study aims to describe the quality of work skills of students majoring in PKK FT UNM and to determine the effect of communication skills, creative thinking skills, critical thinking skills, applied academic skills, and technology use skills on job readiness partially and simultaneously. This type of research is quantitative research. The data was obtained from the value of the Industrial Practice course, the distribution of the questionnaire using the Guttman scale via google form, equipped with unstructured interviews. The population of this research is the 2016 undergraduate students majoring in PKK FT UNM Fashion Design study program who have implemented industrial practices in the 2019/2020 academic year as many as 50 people with a sample of 49 people. The research data were analyzed using simple regression analysis, multiple regression analysis, effective contribution analysis and relative contribution analysis. The results showed that the quality of student work skills was classified as very good based on the value of industrial practice, the value of industrial practice reports, and the value of industrial practice seminars. The R2 value in the simple regression analysis shows that communication skills have the most positive effect, namely 19%, creative thinking skills have a positive effect of 17.1%, applied academic skills have a positive effect of 14.5%, technology use skills have a positive effect of 10.9%, and critical thinking skills with the lowest positive effect of 10.6%. These five variables have a positive effect on job readiness in the fashion industry by 44.6%.

Abstract

This study aims to examine (a) the increase of students' learning motivation after applying the Project Based Learning model in the Basic Programming Subject at SMKN (public vocational high school) 2 Gowa, (b) the increase of students' conceptual understanding skills after applying the Project Based Learning Model in Basic Programming Subject at SMKN 2 Gowa, (c) whether the students' learning motivation in applying the Project Based Learning model is more effective than students' motivation in applying conventional learning model, and (d) whether the students' conceptual understanding skills in applying Project Based Learning model are more effective than the students’ conceptual understanding skills in applying conventional learning model in Basic Programming Subject at SMKN Negeri 2 Gowa. The type of research used is experimental research. The experimental design used is the Nonequivalent Control Group Design in the form of PretestPosttest Design with a sample of 68 students. Data collecting employed questionnaire and test of conceptual understanding skills. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the study are reveal that (a) there is an increase in students' learning motivation after applying the Project Based Learning model in Basic Programming Subject at SMKN Negeri 2 Gowa, (b) there is an increase in students' conceptual understanding skills after applying the Project Based Learning model in Basic Programming Subject at SMKN 2 Gowa, (c) the students’ learning motivation in applying the Project Based Learning model is more effective than students’ learning motivation in applying conventional learning model in Basic Programming Subject at SMKN 2 Gowa, and (d) the students' conceptual understanding skills in applying Project Based Learning model is more effective than the students' conceptual understanding skills in the applying conventional learning model in Basic Programming Subject at SMKN 2 Gowa. Based on the aforementioned results, it can be concluded that the application of the Project Based Learning model is effective and can increase students' motivation and conceptual understanding skills in Basic Programming subject at SMKN 2 Gowa.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) knowing the blended problem based learning model based on Moodle LMS which is effective in increasing student motivation, and (2) knowing the differences in learning motivation who take part in the study blended problem based learning model based on Moodle LMS with students following the blended learning model. The research design used is quasi-experimental. The population in this study was the second semester students of the class of 2021 who studied introductory accounting courses in the accounting department with a total of 140 people. The sample of this research is class A as many as 34 people as the experimental class and class D as many as 33 people as the control class. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. The results showed that: (1) The implementation of the blended problem based learning model based on the Moodle LMS was effective on the learning motivation of the students of the Accounting Department, the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business, Alauddin Islamic State University (2) The results of the inferential analysis using the paired simple t test show that the t-count value is greater than the t table with a sig value less than 0.05, which means that the implementation of the blended problem-based model Moodle-based LMS learning effectively increases student motivation and (3) The results of the inferential analysis with the independent simple t test show that the t-count value is greater than the t-table with a sig value less than 0.05 which means that learning motivation of experimental class students has a significant difference with learning motivation of control class students.
