Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the form of code mixing in the dialogue between Deddy Corbuzier and Doctor Tirta Podcast on Youtube. The method of providing data used in this research is the method of observing with the note-taking technique. The data analysis method uses the distribution method with the Direct Element Divide (BUL) technique and the matching method with the Determinant Element Sort (PUP) technique. Methods and techniques for presenting the results of data analysis using informal presentation methods. Based on the research conducted, it is found that the form of code mixing is code mixing in the form of words, phrases, and clauses. The factors that cause code mixing are the limitations of the use of the code, the use of popular terms, the personality of the speaker, evoking a sense of humor, and just being prestigious.ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk terjadinya campur kode dalam dialog Podcast Deddy Corbuzier dengan Dokter Tirta di Youtube. Metode penyediaan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode simak dengan teknik catat. Metode analis data menggunakan metode agih dengan teknik Bagi Unsur Langsung (BUL) dan metode padan dengan teknik Pilah Unsur Penentu (PUP). Metode dan teknik penyajian hasil analisis data menggunakan metode penyajian informal. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan ditemukan bentuk campur kode yaitu campur kode berbentuk kata, frasa, dan klausa. Faktor penyebab terjadinya camur kode yaitu, keterbatasan penggunaan kode, penggunaan istilah popular, pribadi pembicara, membangkitkan rasa humor, dan untuk sekedar bergengsi.

Abstract

              The purpose of this study was to describe the form of mental verbs contained in the lecture texts of class XI students at State Senior High School 6 Semarang in the 2020/2021 academic year. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Collecting data using the method of observing and recording with documentation techniques. The data analysis method uses the agih method, which is a method that uses language as a determining tool. Presentation of the results of data analysis using informal methods using ordinary or simple words. The results obtained in this study are in the form of a description of the use of mental verbs in the student's lecture text according to the linguistic rules of the lecture text. Mental verbs are described based on the characteristics of mental verbs, including: (a) based on their syntactic function, mental verbs have the main function as a predicate; (b) is included in the type of transitive and intransitive active verb sentence; (c) is behavioral in nature or does not involve physical (non-physical) activities; (d) has an inherent meaning of actions and circumstances; (e) projecting something known, heard, seen, and felt.ABSTRAK            Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan bentuk kata kerja mental yang terdapat dalam teks ceramah peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 6 Semarang tahun pelajaran 2020/2021. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode simak dan catat dengan teknik dokumentasi. Metode analisis data menggunakan metode agih yaitu metode yang menjadikan bahasa sebagai alat penentunya. Penyajian hasil analisis data menggunakan metode informal dengan menggunakan kata-kata biasa atau sederhana. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini berupa deskripsi penggunaan kata kerja mental dalam teks ceramah peserta didik sesuai kaidah kebahasaan teks ceramah. Kata kerja mental dideskripsikan berdasarkan karakteristik kata kerja mental, meliputi: (a) berdasarkan fungsi sintaksisnya, kata kerja mental mempunyai fungsi utama sebagai predikat; (b) termasuk dalam jenis kalimat verba aktif transitif maupun intransitif; (c) bersifat behavioral atau tidak melibatkan kegiatan fisik (nonfisik); (d) memiliki makna inheren perbuatan dan keadaan; (e) memproyeksikan suatu hal diketahui, didengar, dilihat, dan dirasakan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the sentence structure in the utterances of schizophrenics through classification and analysis of sentences uttered by schizophrenics. Both severe schizophrenia, semi-quiet schizophrenia and calm schizophrenia. This research is a type of descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques simak libat cakap (SLC), recording and note-taking techniques. The research was conducted by listening to conversations between one schizophrenic with fellow sufferers and health workers who handle them. Engage in conversation both actively and receptively with sufferers. In addition, the data analysis used is the Agih method. Data presentation techniques use informal techniques. The results of data analysis of schizophrenia patients have a tendency to utter incomplete sentences which then these incomplete sentences are divided into several types, namely, sequence sentences, exclamation sentences and ellipsis sentences. Schizophrenics also tend to utter incoherent sentences and some other schizophrenics can utter sentences in accordance with Indonesian language rules. The causes of schizophrenia patients experiencing interference when speaking are due to factors (1) thematic structure disorders (2) assembling disorders (3) silence (4) echolalia (5) thought flow disorders

Abstract

Pause is one of the speech impediments that anyone can experience. This study aims to determine the forms of pause and the reasons that cause pause in Nessie Judge's speech. The data used is in the form of Nessie Judge's utterances which contain pauses. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The methods used to collect data are documentation techniques, observation methods, and note-taking techniques. The data obtained were then analyzed using the matching and distribution method. Based on the data analysis carried out, the results are in the form of two forms of pause, namely silent pause and filled pause. The reasons that caused Nessie Judge to experience pause, namely forgetting, attracting attention, looking for the right words, giving time to understand the utterances, taking a breath, already starting the utterances, and being careful when speaking.

Abstract

Indonesian language instruction for foreign learners (BIPA) often places strong emphasis on grammatical proficiency while overlooking sociolinguistic competence—an aspect that is crucial for effective intercultural communication. This study aims to describe the implementation of a flipped classroom model in developing pragmatic awareness and register adaptation among BIPA learners. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research involved intermediate-level BIPA students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Data were collected through oral tests, classroom recordings, in-depth interviews, and student-generated digital artifacts. The results indicate significant improvement, particularly in register adaptation and cultural expression, each showing an average gain of 15 points. Qualitatively, learners demonstrated progress in using politeness strategies and shifting speech styles more contextually. The model created a learning space that was not only reflective and participatory, but also culturally relevant. This study recommends the integration of authentic digital content and interactive practices into future BIPA curriculum design, in order to support the formation of learners who are not only fluent, but also socially and culturally sensitive in their use of the Indonesian language.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the application of podcast media in learning to write short story texts in class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Grobogan for the 2022/2023 academic year. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques used are observation techniques, interview techniques, and also documentation techniques. Meanwhile, the background to this research is class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Grobogan who are considered very active and thirsty for technology-based media. The research carried out obtained valid data and as expected, that the lesson went well. Apart from going well based on the data that has been collected, the activities carried out for 2X45 minutes are in line with the principles of good learning, therefore this research on the application of Podcast media in learning to write short story texts for class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Grobogan can be said to be implemented well.

Abstract

Humans are individual creatures and social creatures. Thus, human life activities will always be accompanied by a process of interaction or communication, whether interaction with the natural environment, interaction with fellow individuals, or interaction between teachers and students, whether intentional or unintentional (Sardiman, 2004). The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. This method is used because this research aims to describe interaction patterns in learning as they are. The researcher is the key instrument for combined data collection techniques, data analysis is qualitative, and the results of qualitative research emphasize meaning rather than general conclusions from an event. The data results are in accordance with the research objectives, namely in the form of one-way interaction patterns, two-way interaction patterns, and multi-way interaction patterns used in learning to write poetry. The results obtained from each of these data are (1) one-way interaction patterns (5 data), (2) two-way interaction patterns (6 data), and (3) multi-way interaction patterns (3 data). Based on these findings, it can be concluded that one-way interaction patterns and two-way interaction patterns are the interaction patterns most widely used between teachers and class VIII students in learning to write descriptive text.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using YouTube media on the ability to retell advertising content in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Karangawen for the 2023/2024 academic year. The type of research used is true experimental with a Posttest Only Control Design. The population of this study was all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Karangawen and the selected samples were class VIII B as the control class and class VIII C as the experimental class. The data collection technique uses a test technique in the form of a posttest retelling the contents of the advertisement. Data analysis techniques used include validity testing, reliability testing, normality testing, homogeneity testing and hypothesis testing. The results of the hypothesis test showed that there was a difference between the experimental and control class posttests. The results obtained were tcount 0.391 > ttable 0.254 and significance 0.00 < 0.05. Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of YouTube media on the ability to retell the content of advertisements in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Karangawen for the 2023/2024 academic year.
