Abstract

Southeast Sulawesi Province is one of the regions in Indonesia that has abundant mineral resources, the availability of several types of minerals is strongly influenced by the diversity of rock formations that make up the area. The metamorphic complex is one of the rock formations in the Southeast Sulawesi Province. Where the rock complex is divided into 2 (two), namely: Pompangeo Complex and Mekongga Complex, the distribution area of this metamorphic rock is estimated around 50% of the total land area of Southeast Sulawesi Province. This rock complex is very possible to contain mineral deposits, one of which is graphite mineral deposits. However, the problem that is now is the identification of the potential for subsurface distribution of graphite excavated material has not been carried out. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the potential for subsurface distribution of graphite mineral deposits is using geoelectrical resistivity method where is using Wenner-Schlumberger configuration, this research activity was conducted in the Sabilambo Village in Kolaka Regency, where most of the research area is metamorphic complex. Based on the result of the resistivity analysis, subsurface distribution of graphite mineral deposits in the study area can be found on the surface to a depth of 33.5 meters below ground level, with layer thickness between 1.25 to 27.77 meters and has a resistivity value of 14.9 Ωm – 86.1 Ωm.

Abstract

Efforts have been made to search for subsurface water sources using geophysical methods, namely the Schlumberger resistivity method by mapping groundwater resources. This research aims to determine the existence of groundwater resources in the Kolaka Regency area, especially Langori Village, Baula District. Data collection was carried out at two measuring locations and processed using Progress. The results show a profile of groundwater resistivity values of 3.32 Ωm – 48.96 Ωm at a depth of 4.92 m to 370 m. It is suspected that the groundwater layer for measuring location point 1 or line 1 is at several depths, 8.57 m - 9.42 m, 13.30 m - 27.22 m, 166.28 m - 188.36 m, and 249.78 m - 370 m, each of which has a resistivity value of 26.95 Ωm, 6.52 Ωm, 31.54 Ωm, and 31.82 Ωm. Measuring location point 2 or line 2, the suspected groundwater layer is found at a depth of 4.92 m - 8.55 m, 20.53 m - 31.60 m, and 70.73m - 117.42 m, respectively each has a resistivity value of 41.91 Ωm, 3.32 Ωm, and 32.11 Ωm.

Abstract

Abstract

Labota Village in Morowali Regency holds significant potential for development in the areas of settlement, infrastructure, and natural resource exploration—specifically regarding groundwater and mineral deposits. To ensure the sustainable utilization of these resources, information regarding subsurface conditions is crucial. Combined geophysical survey results and field observations indicate that the uppermost layer in Labota Village consists of surface sediments or topsoil of relatively shallow thickness. Underlying this is a conglomerate rock layer with resistivity values ranging from 2,000 Ωm to 20,000 Ωm. Quaternary sediments overlie ultramafic bedrock (Ku), which exhibits resistivity values of ≥20,000 Ωm. The resistivity variations obtained from the survey are consistent with the lithological characteristics observed in the field, thereby reinforcing the interpretation of the subsurface layers

Abstract

A geohydrological survey using the resistivity geoelectric method has been conducted in the Mantobua Village area, Loghia District, Muna Regency. This research aims to: (1) Determine the resistivity value of the subsurface layers, and (2) Determine the potential presence of groundwater based on the resistivity value of the subsurface layers. Data collection was carried out using 6 measurement lines with the Wenner-Schlumberger electrode configuration. The resistivity values of the subsurface layers in the research area range from 6.31 to 1757 Ωm. The potential presence of groundwater based on the resistivity values of the subsurface layers is as follows: Line 1 is below the surface at a depth of 9.26 m to 52.4 m with a resistivity range of 23.9 Ωm; Line 2 is at a depth of 6.59 m to 59.9 m with a resistivity of 13.2 – 26.5 Ωm; Line 4 is at a depth of 1.25 m to 59.9 m with a resistivity of 26.6 Ωm; Line 5 is at a depth of 1.25 m to 59.9 m with a resistivity of 16.3 – 32.6 Ωm; and Line 6 is at a depth of 9.26 m to 19.8 m with a resistivity of 60.4 Ωm.
