Abstract

Alternative clinical diagnostic media for Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) include Anchovy Sweet Seaweed Medium (TURLM). This media reported has good sensitivity and specificity, as well as growth speed, colony count, and fertility rates for MTB examination. In this study, six different types of clove flower powder were added to the TURLM media (Syzygium aromaticum). The goal of this study was to look at the vegetative shape of MTB bacteria in six different TURLM variations. This study was conducted at Microbiology Laboratory of the Medical Laboratory Technician Department at Politeknik Kesehatan Kementerian Kesehatan in Mataram, Indonesia. These findings revealed that complete MTB vegetative cells were mostly found in TURLM media with the addition of 0.5 g clove flower powder

Abstract

Glukosa darah adalah gula yang terdapat dalam darah yang terbentuk dari karbohidrat dalam makanan dan disimpan sebagai glikogen dihati dan otot rangka. Otot akan menggunakan glukosa pada aliran darah untuk bahan bakar, jadi semakin dipakai semakin rendah kadar gula darah. Glukosa darah mengalami penurunan karena melakukan aktifitas fisik dengan intensitas sedang yang merupakan latihan aerobik yaitu seperti senam jantung sehat dengan jalan kakiUntuk mengetahui perbedaan penurunan kadar gula darah setelah berolahraga senam jantung sehat dengan jalan kaki. Desain penelitian Pra-eksperiment  menggunakan One group pretest-posttest dengan jumlah responden 30 orang. 15 responden senam jantung sehat dan 15 responden jalan kaki selama 20 menit. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa data hasil pemeriksaan kadar gula darah sebelum dan setelah berolahraga senam jantung sehat dengan jalan kaki.  Rerata hasil pemeriksaan kadar gula darah sebelum senam jantung sehat adalah 108,87 mg/dL dan setelah senam jantung sehat adalah 95.07 mg/dL, sedangkan kadar gula darah sebelum jalan kaki adalah 108,93 mg/dL dan setelah jalan kaki adalah 98,87 mg/dL.Berolahraga senam jantung sehat dengan jalan kaki selama 20 menit dapat menurunkan kadar gula darah.

Abstract

Most Probable Number (MPN) is a test that detects the fermentative nature of Coliform in the sample. The MPN test consists of three stages: presumptive test, confirm test, and completeness test. Each of these tests used LBSS, LBDS and BGLB media with volume between 5 ml - 10 ml. There is the variation of this media volume, whether it will affect the positivity value and MPN value of Coliform, it is a problem that will be answered in this study. The research objective was to find out the influence of media volume variation to the result of Coliform bacterium counting test method of MPN variety 5 1 1. The media volume which was varied namely LBSS and LBDS with volume variation 4 m, 6 ml, 8 ml, 10 ml, 12 Ml. The research was an experimental in laboratory. The sample was the suspense of Escherichia coli bacteria which are equivalent to standard 0.5 Mc. Farland and diluted 1000 ml sterile aquadest, the result data indicated MPN value was obtained, then it is analyzed by descriptive analysis. The findings indicated that the volume of LBDS and LBSS media were 4ml, 6ml, 8ml, 10ml, 12ml, replicated 5 times obtained positive result on all tubes 5 1 1 with MPN value> 265/100 ml. The conclusion of the research is media volume of LBSS and LBDS does not affect the positive and MPN Coliform values.
