Abstract

The village has a lot of potential that can be developed. In many records, there are three main potentials that villages have in general. First, natural resources, second agricultural products and third potential for local wisdom and culture, where these three potentials can support the development of a tourist village. Since the enactment of Law Number 6 Year 2014 Regarding Villages, there has been a massive movement carried out by various groups to awaken the village's potential. The authority of the village government to develop its territory is wide open, but this spirit requires the participation of all components of the village community and synergy with various groups in a sustainable manner. Based on these matters, the Community Service Team of the University of Baturaja, through the Mitra Village Assistance Program, the Director of Research and Community Service of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education carried out development assistance activities in Sipatuhu Village, Banding Agung District, Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan, South Sumatra Province becoming a souvenir center village and souvenirs in the Lake Ranau tourist area, through excavating village potentials and enhancing the capacity of governance of the Village Owned Enterprises. Keywords: Village potential, Village-Owned Enterprises, souvenir centers, tourism. Abstrak Desa memiliki banyak potensi yang dapat terus dikembangkan. Dalam banyak catatan, ada tiga potensi utama yang dimiliki desa pada umumnya. Pertama, sumber daya alam, kedua hasil-hasil pertanian dan ketiga potensi kearifan lokal dan budaya, di mana ketiga potensi ini dapat menunjang pengembangan menjadi desa wisata. Sejak diberlakukannya Undang-Undang Nomor 6 Tahun 2014 Tentang Desa, terjadi pergerakan yang begitu massif yang dilakukan berbagai kalangan untuk membangkitkan potensi-potensi yang dimiliki desa. Kewenangan pemerintah desa untuk mengembangkan wilayahnya semakin terbuka lebar, tetapi semangat ini memerlukan partisipasi seluruh komponen masyarakat desa dan sinergi dengan berbagai kalangan secara berkelanjutan. Berdasarkan hal-hal tersebut, Tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) Universitas Baturaja, melalui Program Pendampingan Desa Mitra, Direktur Riset dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Kementerian Riset, Teknologi dan Pendidikan Tinggi (PPDM-DRPM Kemristekdikti) menjalankan kegiatan pedampingan pengembangan Desa Sipatuhu, Kecamatan Banding Agung, Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan Provinsi Sumatera Selatan menjadi desa sentra souvenir dan oleh-oleh di kawasan wisata Danau Ranau, melalui penggalian potensi desa dan peningkatan kapasitas tata kelola Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes).

Abstract

The development of communication and information technology that gave birth to the digital era has made the competition for the mass media industry increasingly competitive. This condition requires conventional mass media, especially local newspapers to carry out special strategies focused on efforts to transform their activities in accordance with the demands of the times, so as not to get further behind with new media that use the internet and digital technology. The Daily OKU Ekspres and OKU Timur Pos, as conventional local newspapers, are confronted with this reality. Surrender or immediately develop a strategy for transformation and change, in order to remain able to compete in the media industry. This study uses a qualitative method, where data analysis is displayed descriptively. The results showed that the two newspapers systematically implemented four strategies to face competition with online media, namely; strengthen local content with investigative reports, media convergence, penetration in social media networks and carry out regular and incidental off-air activities. In the context of this strategy choice, the two newspapers are able to capitalize on the vulnerability of online media to strengthen their existence.

Abstract

CREATIVITY OF SIPATUHU VILLAGE BUMDES MANAGEMENT IN PROMOTING PROCESSED FOOD PRODUCTS THROUGH THE WEBSITE. Empowerment of village communities based on the superior potential of the village is the key to increasing welfare and community independence. Sipatuhu Village, Banding Agung Subdistrict, Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan District, South Sumatra Province, has a potential that other villages do not have. Sipatuhu village has abundant potential for plantation resources, namely robusta coffee and palm sugar, the largest in South Sumatra. The Village Government, Village-Owned Enterprise Managers, and elements of the Sipatuhu Village community are working together to improve the potential management capacity so that it has high economic value. In addition to increasing the capacity of village productive economic governance, creative efforts were also made to innovate in designing promotional media and marketing of products in the form of processed robusta coffee, and sugar and liquid palm sugar made from palm sap, through the website. The use of information technology was chosen to expand the product marketing reach to potential consumers, if previously it was still done conventionally. This effort has produced positive results, although it is still simple, the website as a promotional medium has been successfully realized, by developing both the views on the website design, as well as the narrative and promotional content displayed.

Abstract

Ditemukannya komputer dan satelit komunikasi, termasuk penemuan internet yang dianggap sebagai gelombang keempat revolusi informasi, menjadikan media massa tidak lagi semata-mata sebagai institusi sosial yang dilingkupi idealisme dengan berbagai ketentuan etik (code of ethic), tetapi media massa secara perlahan namun pasti tak mampu mengelak dari kepentingan ekonomi dan politik. Media massa yang kian mengindustri akibat pengaruh teknologi komunikasi dan informasi, telah mempermudah kekuatan kapitalisme dan konglomerasi masuk ke sendi-sendi aktivitas jurnalisme dan institusi media. Pengaruh dan kekuatan kapitalisme membuat media tak berdaya untuk menolak apalagi menghindarinya. Demikian juga dengan pengaruh-pengaruh politik, kadang pertaruhan idealisme media berkelindan dengan kepentingan ekonomi dan politiknya sekaligus. Tulisan singkat ini hendak mewacanakan bagaimana sesungguhnya tantangan idealisme media massa di era kapitalisme media yang tak mungkin lagi dihindari oleh media. Lalu di atas semua persoalan itu, penting kiranya untuk mencari titik keseimbangan (tanpa dominasi salah satu diantaranya) antara idealisme dan kapitalisme media.

Abstract

Various criticisms toward corruptions in Indonesia, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic were conveyed by the public through social media, one of which was social criticism through the Tekotok’s animation on YouTube. This study aims to uncover the meaning behind the sign and how social criticism is depicted in the animation of the Tekotok’s Hones Translator Corruptor. This study uses a critical paradigm approach and used Roland Barthes’ Semiotics as a theory to uncover the meaning in the animation and discover myths. The research shows that Tekotok’s Hones Translator Corruptor displays social criticism that often occurs in real life, such as satire about the corruptor’s behavior, corruption and power relationship, and the lack of punishment for perpetrators of corruption. The myth found in the Tekotok animation is that the first actor who acts feels like a victim to be released from prosecution. The second asks questions about people in lower positions.

Abstract

The dynamics of the Indonesian press continue to evolve as the times progress, where in that development, the situation and political changes of power and economic forces have caused the press to transform into industrial forces that are part of global capitalism.The press, which should be called a mirror depicting the state of society, begins to experience a shift, even trapped in the trap of global capitalism octopus. Therefore, seeing the dynamics of the Indonesian press should be placed in the wider social totality, as an integral part of the economic, social, and political processes that take place and develops in society. Press institutions, media industry structures, and interactions between the press and the various groups that produce and consume media content text, are part of a dynamic process of political, economic, and social dynamics of the community to be carefully scrutinized.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendalami bagaimana konstruksi realitas yang dilakukan oleh Detik.com, Kompas.com dan Republika.co.id terhadap kontroversi kasus promosi gratis minuman beralkohol Holywings berlabel “Muhammad dan Maria” dalam pemberitaan ketiga media tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivis dengan metode penelitian yang bersifat deskriptif kualitatif, melalui analisis framing model Zhongdang Pan dan Gerald M. Kosicki, yang membaginya menjadi empat dimensi struktural teks berita sebagai perangkat framing yaitu sintaksis, skrip, tematik dan retoris. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada perbedaan latar belakang visi dan misi antara Detik.com, Kompas.com, dan Republika.co.id. Melalui perangkat sintaksis, skrip, tematik, dan retoris maka terlihat bahwa Detik.com mengonstruksi kasus Holywings sebagai pemberitaan yang hanya mementingkan aktualitas dan “pasar” berita atas kesalahan promosi Holywings di frame hanya sebagai kesalahan biasa, bukan penistaan agama. Kompas.com mengonstruksi kasus Holywings sebagai penistaan agama Islam dan Kristen. Namun konteks penistaan agama tersebut ditonjolkan secara hat-hati tetapi tetap menggiring opini publik agar pelaku diproses secara hukum. Republika.co.id tegas mengonstruksi kasus Holywings sebagai tindakan penistaan agama, khususnya bagi umat Islam. Republika.co.id menonjolkan konstruksi bahwa promosi miras tersebut sebagai bentuk tindakan ekstrimisme yang harus dituntut secara hukum.

Abstract

Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUM Desa) merupakan badan usaha dan juga dapat merupakan badan hukum usaha yang dapat memberikan kesejahateraan masayarakat desa melalui peningkatan penghasilan masyarakat dan peningkatan pendapatan asli desa, akan tetapi hal ini dapat dicapai apabila BUM Desa memiliki Sumber Daya Manusia yang handal. Sehingga untuk memiliki SDM yang handal maka perlu adanya kegitan peningkatan kemampuan, terutama kemampuan tata kelola BUM Desa yang baik. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dalam upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan tata kelola dari SDM BUM Desa Karya Usaha. Sasaran dari pengabdian ini adalah pengelola BUM Desa dan Aparatur Pemerintah Desa Sipatuhu. Metode dalam pengabdian ini adalah melalui identifikasi masalah dan melakukan sosialisasi dengan memberikan materi-materi yang dapat mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh BUM Desa. Dimulai dengan memberikan sosialisasi regulasi pendirian bum desa serta proses penyusunan draf perdes, ad dan art bum desa, pendampingan penyusunan draf sop tata kelola dan pemetaan potensi usaha bum desa, dan penguatan kapasitas komunikasi pengelola bum desa dalam meningkatkan kemitraan usaha multipihak. Hasil yang didapatkan dari kegiatan ini adalah bertambahnya pemahaman dari pengelola BUM Desa terkait dengan regulasi, tujuan, dan tata kelola BUM Desa. Selain itu bertambahnya juga kemampuan komunikasi dari pengelola BUM Desa dan Apartur Pemerintah Desa.
