Abstract

This study aims to observe the effectiveness of therapy of reflective-intuitive reading of Al-Fatihah in reducing the depression of autoimmune survivors. It used the quasi-experiment with the pre-test-posttest control group design – not non-randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects involved in this study were the female Moslems becoming the survivors of one of the autoimmune diseases. Here, the level of depression of the subject was measured using the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS) sub-test of depression developed by Lovibond and Lovibond, adapted into the Indonesian language. The implementation of the therapy refers to the module of reflective-intuitive reading of Al-Fatihah developed by the researcher and team by referring to the module owned by Maulana, Subandi and Astuti. Data analysis used the Mann Whitney U-Test to determine the difference in the depression level in the experimental group before and after the intervention compared to the control group. The study results showed that therapy of reflective-intuitive reading of Al-Fatihah effectively reduced the level of depression of autoimmune survivors after passing the changing process taking a particular time.

Abstract

This paper highlights the importance of learning motivation and critical thinking skills to an EFL learner. Apart from gaining language ability in speaking, reading, listening, and writing, an EFL learner must also be equipped with other factors or skills to succeed. Hence, this study aimed to determine how much learning motivation correlates with critical thinking skills amongst tertiary English Language Education Department students at Universitas Islam Indonesia. By deploying a purposive sampling technique, 50 participants were involved in this study. It comprises 16 male students (32%) and 34 female students (68%). Critical thinking and learning motivation questionnaires were utilized to garner the data, and the data were further analyzed using the product-moment correlation. This study also utilizes in-depth interviews to gain more perspective on critical thinking, learning motivation, and how it shapes behavior. The results demonstrated that learning motivation positively and significantly correlated with critical thinking skills. Across varied levels, contexts, and periods, the current study confirmed the persistent theory concerning the correlation between learning motivation and critical thinking, as prior related studies already demonstrated. Further studies are called to be conducted by engaging a more significant number of samples to reveal broader insights

Abstract

Masalah kesehatan mental banyak terjadi pada remaja dan orang dewasa,sekitar  19% populasi orang dewasa, 46% remaja, dan 13% anak-anak mengalami masalah kesehatan mental setiap tahunnya. Namun, mereka tidak mendapatkan perawatan yang baik karena kurangnya kesadaran mental. Maka dari itu perlu diadakan kegiatan yang dapat meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya kesehatan mental. Agar nantinya, dapat bersama-sama seluruh lapisan masyarakat dapat menjaga kesehatan mental warga terutama warga desa Kedung Baya Kelurahan Kalitimbang Cilegon. Metode pelaksanaan ini dilakukan secara kolaboratif dengan metode psikoedukasi. Pada proses pelaksaan psikoeduksdi ini juga dilakukan pengukuran pengetahuan sebelum dan setelah pelaksanaan psikoedukasi. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh, kegiatan ini efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran warga akan pentingnya kesehatan mental. Diharapkan ke depannya program psikoedukasi ini dapat dilangsungkan secara rutin dan berkala sehingga kesadaran masyarakat terhadap kesehatan mental dapat terjaga

Abstract

Kesehatan mata merupakan indikator penting dari kondisi kesehatan tubuh secara keseluruhan, terutama dipengaruhi oleh kadar gula darah dan tekanan darah. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat oleh Kelompok KKM 66 Universitas Bina Bangsa tahun 2025 di Desa Bojong Catang bertujuan meningkatkan kesadaran pola gaya hidup masyarakat terhadap keterkaitan antara hipertensi, diabetes melitus, dan gangguan penglihatan. Melalui pendekatan klasik dan personal, dilakukan penyuluhan serta pemeriksaan gratis meliputi tensi, kadar gula, dan visus mata. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa 45,2% peserta memiliki tekanan darah tidak normal dan 29,4% memiliki kadar gula darah tidak normal. Sebanyak 50% peserta pemeriksaan mata mengalami gangguan visus yang berkorelasi dengan kondisi tekanan darah dan gula darah. Kegiatan ini berhasil menumbuhkan kesadaran kolektif dan personal terhadap pentingnya gaya hidup sehat sebagai upaya preventif terhadap gangguan penglihatan. Keterbatasan kegiatan terletak pada jumlah sampel dan heterogenitas usia peserta, namun tetap memberikan kontribusi positif dalam edukasi kesehatan mata berbasis komunitas.
