Abstract

Students’ motivation to learn has many important influences on university students. Motivation can increase learning involvement, learning autonomy, social presence and enrolment, critical thinking skills, writing skills, problem-solving skills, and learning achievement. This study aims to determine the effect of social support on student learning motivation through the mediator of religiosity. The research subjects were 202 students (male and female) at an Islamic university. The measuring instruments used are the Islamic Religiosity Scale from Nashori, the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support from Zimet, Dahlem, Zimet, and Farley, and the Learning Motivation Scale from Utami, Nashori, and Rachmawati. The data were analyzed using stepwise regression. The results showed that social support and religiosity influenced learning motivation. So, social support influenced learning motivation with religiosity as a full mediator.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana gambaran mahasiswa terkait dengan daya juang (adversity quotient) dalam menghadapi tantangan dalam melaksanakan pendidikan di kota pelajar Yogyakarta. Mahasiswa yang menjadi narasumber berasal dari Papua, Maluku, dan NTT yang menempuh pendidikan di Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII). Metode penelitian ini yaitu metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis, mendeskripsikan pemahaman umum dari sejumlah individu terhadap pengalaman hidup mereka. pengumpulan data penelitian ini dengan wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis Data menggunakan spiral analisis data yang digagas oleh John W. Creswell. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daya juang mahasiswa berasal dari pelosok negeri dapat digambarkan melalui: (1) motivasi, (2) produktivitas, (3) kreativitas, (4) cara belajar, (5) masalah rasisme, (6) masalah tekanan, (7) upaya atau kinerja, (8) pengambilan resiko, (9) peran support sosial. Faktor pendukung dan penghambat daya juang yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Faktor internal yang mendukung daya juang mimpi atau cita-cita yang tinggi untuk masa depan dan bermanfaat bagi kampung sekitar ketika kembali kekampung halaman. Faktor penghambat eksternalnya yaitu beban kuliah yang tinggi, sehingga timbul rasa malas dan kurang semangat. Hal yang menarik yang ditemukan penulis yaitu kekhawatiran informan apakah mampu mengimplementasikan ilmu ketika kembali ke daerah masing-masing. Namun, faktor penghambat ini hanya sedikit dibandingkan dengan faktor pendukung, jika rasa optimis dan semangat dalam menggapai cita-cita tinggi maka hambatan itu tidaklah berarti apa-apa.

Abstract

This research background arouse from the problems found in the Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) or Islamic Education learning process in SLB Bhakti Kencana, Berbah, Sleman and in other extraordinary primary schools in general. The researchers assumed that the curriculum performed in PAI learning in the school did not suit for disabled students. The competency standards for the school are exactly the same with the standards for ordinary students. The difference between the ordinary students and mental retardation students is greatly clear, namely “IQ competence.” Collecting several aspects of that problem, the research aims at overcoming the problem by employing a strategy to optimize the instructional materials as the accomplishment of the competency standards of PAI for the mental retardation students in the first grade. The problem was formulated to answer about how to design effective instructional materials for the first-grade mental retardation students in extraordinary school. This research was conducted by applying Research and Development model. It could be concluded that the instructional materials which were fit for the students should have (a) began with easy to tough topics, concrete to abstract, simple to complex, (b) been suited to the students’ personality and ability, (c) emphasized the functional skills, and (d) been interesting. The developed module included more complete steps, so it could facilitate the students to learn. The feasibility test showed that the developed module (1) was good in the feasibility contents, (2) was good from the aspects of the language and illustration, (3) was good observed from the presentation aspect, and (4) was very good in the module layout since the module had the balance between the text and illustration, the size of the picture, the font, the interesting cover, so the students could understand the module easily.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the source of conflict in the body of the Mus-lims also caused differences in the interpretation of paragraph rahmatan lil ‘Alamin in Surat al-Anbiya’ verse 107. This limits the research object of research only on four major currents of thought in Islam, namely Ahlu Sunnah, Mu’tazilite, Shia and Wahabi. According to the flow Ahlu Sunnah that are faithful to God, the grace bestowed in this world and hereafter. For those who do not believe in Allah SWT, then the form of grace is not disegerakannya catastrophe in the world as the peoples before Islam. Then interpretation  Mu’tazilite flow, explicitly the existence of a disadvantage for non-believers. That the Prophet Muhammad brought happiness to those who followed him and who did not follow it, then it comes out of his lust which constrict parts of grace. Furthermore, the flow Shiite explicitly showing reluctance for people who do not believe in the grace. That Allah showed unbelievers to believe and give him the signs, but the unbelievers not find it. Lastly, the interpretation of Wahabism that explicitly rampart against the unbelievers. That mercy for the infidels against Islam is to be speeded up his death and it is better for them. Because with no faith and hostility they will just tuck torment in the hereafter.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether  online learning is done in Islamic Education Program of the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Indonesian Islamic University (UII) through cyberclass  already include fun learning principles or not. This study is an evaluative model, to get feedback to improve the quality of online learning. As result,  Fun learning through cyberclass for students still in the bad category. A total of 44.6% of respondents said online courses less enjoyable. Recommendations of this study, the need for training for lecturers in preparing the RPP Online fun-based learning and training e-learning platform Moodle (MEP). This proposal can be done through a trial with the approach of a Research and Development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ormas, aliran, dan atau golongan berlatar belakang muslim masih menyisakan harapan untuk rukun dan bersatu di antara perbedaan-perbedaan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan (field research), yaitu penelitian yang data dan informasinya diperoleh dari kegiatan di lapangan kerja dalam penelitian.Informan penelitian ini adalah Pengurus Wilayah Nahdlatul Ulama Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa harapan kerukunan dan persatuan organisasi berlatar agama Islam kaum muslimin di Yogyakarta menurut pengurus NU Wilayah DIY dalam kategori Baik atau berperingkat B. Hal ini berdasarkan hasil pembahasan dapat diketahui bahwa Pengurus Wilayah NU DIY, Sebagian besar Pengurus Wilayah NU DIY berpendapat bahwa banyaknya ormas Islam di Indonesia sikapnya cukup baik. Meskipun ormas Islam di Indonesia mempunyai keyakinan yang berbeda-beda sebagian besar Pengurus Wilayah NU DIY dapat menghargai perbedaan keyakinan tersebut.
