Penelitian ini membahas perbandingan kinerja dua perangkat berbasis Android dan Embedded system dalam melakukan pembacaan tag Near Field Communication. Android dengan modul NFC NXP PN544 dan Embedded system dengan modul MFRC522. Studi kasus yang dilakukan untuk penelitian ini dengan menerapkannya pada manajemen aset. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kinerja dari kedua perangkat tersebut terdapat perbedaan signifikan atau tidak. Untuk mengetahui hal tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan metode statistik uji Mann Whitney yang menghitung variabel waktu dan jarak ketika tag NFC berhasil terdeteksi, membaca, dan menampilkan informasi. Dengan metode uji Mann Whitney tersebut dapat diketahui terdapat perbedaan signifikan dari kedua perangkat tersebut berdasarkan hasil yang didapatkan. Setelah dilakukan pengujian, jarak efektif pada kedua alat didapatkan pada jarak 15 mm, 10 mm, dan 5 mm dengan pengujian pembacaan 15 tag NFC pada setiap jarak. Kemudian hasil tersebut diuji dengan metode Mann Whitney pada jarak 15 mm didapatkan nilai signifikasi sebesar .001, kemudian pada jarak 10 mm didapatkan nilai signifikasi sebesar .000, serta jarak 5 mm didapatkan nilai signifikasi sebesar .000 dan dari ketiga pengujian tersebut membuktikan bahwa kedua perangkat terdapat perbedaan signifikan dalam melakukan pembacaan tag NFC.

Bertambahnya pertumbuhan industri, penggunaan alat elektronik untuk kebutuhan kantor dan rumah tangga menjadi kontribusi peningkatan konsumsi energi pada setiap tahunnya sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan pemborosan pemakaian energi yang berdampak pada lingkungan dan pemanasan global. Pengendalian konsumsi energi listrik oleh pemerintah dan organisasi peduli ingkungan melalui kampanye kesadaran hemat energi pada masyarakat dinilai belum cukup efektif dan efisien. Penelitian ini membuat purwarupa sistem embedded cerdas yang dapat mengendalikan penggunaan peralatan elektronik menggunakan metode Logika Fuzzy sehingga pengendalian konsumsi energi listrik dapat dilakukan secara otomatis. Sistem ini dirancang dengan menggunakan mikrokontroller Arduino Nano yang diintegrasikan dengan sensor suhu, sensor gerak dan modul Real Time Clock (RTC). Pada tahap pengujian kinerja, sistem ini dihubungkan dengan berbagai peralatan elektronik seperti pendingin ruangan, lampu, dan tempat penghubung arus listrik (stopkontak). Berdasarkan hasil pengujian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan sistem embedded cerdas mampu mengendalikan konsumsi energi dan menghemat energi listrik hingga 28,71%.

Dokumen Jawi kuno merupakan warisan budaya yang berisi informasi penting tentang peradaban masa lalu yang dapat dijadikan pedoman untuk masa sekarang ini. Dokumen Jawi kuno telah mengalami penurunan kualitas yang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor seperti kualitas kertas atau karena proses penyimpanan. Penurunan kualitas ini menyebabkan informasi yang terdapat pada dokumen tersebut menghilang dan sulit untuk diakses. Artikel ini mengusulkan metode binerisasi untuk membangkitkan kembali informasi yang terdapat pada dokumen Jawi kuno. Metode usulan merupakan kombinasi antara metode binerisasi berbasis nilai ambang lokal dan global. Metode usulan diuji terhadap dokumen Jawi kuno dan dokumen uji standar yang dikenal dengan nama Handwritten Document Image Binarization Contest (HDIBCO) 2016. Citra hasil binerisasi dievaluasi menggunakan metode: F-measure, pseudo F-measure, peak signal-to-noise ratio, distance reciprocal distortion, dan misclasification penalty metric. Secara rata-rata, nilai evaluasi F-measure dari metode usulan mencapai 88,18 dan 89,04 masing-masing untuk dataset Jawi dan HDIBCO-2016. Hasil ini lebih baik dari metode pembanding yang menunjukkan bahwa metode usulan berhasil meningkatkan kinerja metode binerisasi untuk dataset Jawi dan HDIBCO-2016. AbstractAncient Jawi document is a cultural heritage, which contains knowledge of past civilization for developing a better future. Ancient Jawi document suffers from severe degradation due to some factors such as paper quality or poor retention process. The degradation reduces information on the document and thus the information is difficult to access. This paper proposed a binarization method for restoring the information from degraded ancient Jawi document. The proposed method combined a local and global thresholding method for extracting the text from the background. The experiment was conducted on ancient Jawi document and Handwritten Document Image Binarization Contest (HDIBCO) 2016 datasets. The result was evaluated using F-measure, pseudo F-measure, peak signal-to-noise ratio, distance reciprocal distortion, dan misclassification penalty metric. The average result showed that the proposed method achieved 88.18 and 89.04 of F-measure, for Jawi and HDIBCO-2016, respectively. The proposed method resulted in better performance compared with several benchmarking methods. It can be concluded that the proposed method succeeded to enhance binarization performance.

Home Automation is one of the advances in technology and communication by automating the control of electrical devices at home. With this method, home electronic devices can be controlled using a remote control system without having to touch the home appliances themselves. Along with the development of the operating system on mobile devices gives birth to innovation and creativity that is in line with the needs of its users, from mere communication tools to information centers. One of the innovations in the field of daily life of its users is Home Automation which allows control of electrical devices so that it can save electricity consumption at home that can be done remotely both in the same location or in other rooms with sensors and user interface design from Android to simplify monitoring. The Home Automation application communicates via MAC addresses on Android registered in Wemos D1, which Android can be used to control automatically, in this study using the Wemos D1 module as a brain or control center that will receive data from Android for later processing to the lamp output , motion sensor (PIR), DHT22 sensor, fan, and door lock by using a solenoid that can be controlled automatically from any sensors connected to the Wemos D1 microcontroller.

Utilization of renewable energy from solar panel systems is increasingly being applied, but until now its utilization has not been maximized. The movement of the sun caused by rotation of the earth and cloudy condition should be taken into account to maximize the electrical energy in solar panels. In this study, a concept to calculate the movement of a two-axis sun tracker is proposed by using a combination of two controller methods, i.e. Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) and Fuzzy logic known as Fuzzy-PID (F-PID). To follow the movement of the sun, the LDR sensor is used as an input to light as well as output used to drive 2 units servo for x-axis and y-axis. Sun tracker that is used is based on tetrahedron geometry and uses three Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) sensors as input. Input and output components are connected to the Atmega 328P by using a combination of Fuzzy logic and PID programs (F-PID). Fuzzy logic programming is first performed on the Matlab application using Fuzzy Inference System (FIS), then converted into an Arduino-based programming language. The sun tracker movement and the voltage received by the solar panel will be stored into the SD card using a data logging module. Adjusting the sun tracker movement using the combined Fuzzy logic and PID method intends to maximize the electrical energy received by the solar panel. The results showed that the F-PID method obtained the maximum voltage of 5.3 V, a maximum current of 0.11 A, and a maximum power of 0.61 W.

This study aims to design a multisensor observation system, develop a microcontroller-based prototype with ESP8266 and RFID modules, and analyze the performance of the prototype. From the testing carried out by tagging each time students do activities, the client tag data will be sent to the server, and the results are displayed PLX-DAQ. With the 50 tag cards that have registered the IDs of each student, it shows that those who attend the schedule will be given the logic "1" (otherwise logic "0"), and attendance data will be obtained by calculating the number of attendance of students in four types of activities in four locations. The data is transmitted to Data-loggers through two configurations, namely Data-logger as the client (indirect), and Data-logger as a server (direct). From the two configurations, it was found that the configuration of Data-logger as a server had a performance of 19.08% better than Data-logger as a client. From the data processing, it was found that the highest activity of students was the interest in the activities of language institutions (95.92%), followed by religious activities (95.83%), teaching and earning activities (93.88%), and reading (79.59 %)

Tofu is a soy-based food that is popular in Indonesia. One of the supporting factors is that it has high nutritional value and low price. Tofu is produced by micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in all provinces in Indonesia, including in the region of Aceh. Based on the results of observations, the tofu production process still predominantly uses human labor, starting from the washing process to the cutting process. This activity is carried out every day with a high repetition rate. If this is allowed to happen for a long time, workers will be exposed to the risk of musculoskeletal disorders. This study uses the Cornell Musculoskeletal Disorders (CMDQ) questionnaire to assess the workers' work posture and determine the level of occupational hazard risk using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method. The results of the distribution of questionnaires show that the body parts that experienced pain complaints were the shoulder (right dan left), upper back, upper arm (right and left), lower back, forearm (right and left), also wrist (right and left). It happens in the filtering process. The results of the assessment of work posture with the REBA method show the score of work posture in the filtering process is 13, which means that the filtering posture of workers has a very high risk and must be improved immediately. The present research recommended additional intervention that includes engineering and administrative control methods for reducing those workers' complaints of muscle pain.

Electricity is very useful for human life. However, if an error in use results in a danger to the safety of humans, livestock and property. Sometimes electricity is also used for special purposes for which there are no guidelines, this will be very risky to safety. As in the case that occurred recently in the Pidie Resort Police area, the Head of the Pidie Resort Police assigned his members for the benefit of the police service in the context of the task of carrying out an examination of electrical experts to obtain information regarding the discovery of a body in the mountain river of Gampong Lhok Broh, Meureudu District, District Pidie Jaya. The expected objectives of this activity are; So that participants can understand the benefits of electrical energy and the basic principles, operation, and maintenance of electrical equipment, Provide participants with knowledge (in general) about how to work and maintain electrical equipment that may be designed and used in a community environment, Demonstrate directly the dangers of some related electrical equipment cases currently being handled by the police. This activity was carried out from October 1 to November 30 2019 and consisted of 3 stages namely; Preparation, Execution, and Compilation of Reports. Based on inspections and field trials in two places, the following conclusions can be drawn; Electric current is dangerous for the human body depending on the amount of current and duration. The effect of electric current on humans starts with tingling/numbness to effect the heart which can cause death. Water is a conductor that can carry electric current properly. The safe voltage limit for humans is 50 Volt AC assuming the human body is 1000 Ohm resistant, the safe current limit for humans is 30 mA. The dedicated team also as electrical experts discusses scientific about matters related to electrical hazards and their effects on the human body.
