Abstract

Model regresi logistik politomi digunakan untuk menjelaskan hubungan prediktor-hasil akhir,dengan hasil-akhir merupakan logit prediktor dan hasil-akhir bersifat kategorikpofitomi, baik nominal ataupun ordinal. Dengan proses pengestimasian regresornya yangbahkan lebih rumit daripada model regresi logistik sederhana, penggunaan model inipraktis baru berkembang dalam satu dasawarsa terakhir, dengan tersedianya programkomputer statistik yang lebih canggih serta perangkat keras komputer dengan kapasitasmemori yang febih besar dan kecepatan prosesor yang febih tinggi.Kala kunci: Bioslalislika, Epidemiologi, model regresi logislik, hasil-akhir polilomi

Abstract

Dari sudul pandang Sialislika, pemodelan dalam pengolahan dala penelitian eksperimenlal seperti padahanya uji klinik lidaklah dianjurkan Randomisasi apabila difaksanakan sebagaimana meslinya dianggaplelah mengoplimalkan keseimbangan disiribusi variabel prediklormanapun anlarke/ompok perbandingandi luar faktor perlakuan ulama (pengobalan dalam uji klinik), sehingga peningkalan validitas dan presisiyang menjadi lujuan ulama pada pengolahan dala penelitian observasional menjadi kurang relevan di sini.Dalam kenyalaannya penggunaan pemodelan dalam pengolahan dala uji klinik masih relalif seringdilemukan, walaupun inlerprelasinya perlu dilanggapi secara berbeda dengan inlerprelasi lerhadap hasifanalisis multivariabel pada peneJilian observasional secara umumnya.Kala Kunci: uji kJinik, pemodelan, model regresi linear, model regresi Jogislik

Abstract

The Region of interest (ROI) of the fundus photography is an important task in medical image processing. It contains a lot of information related to the diagnosis of the retinal disease. So the determination of this ROI is a very influential first step in fundus image processing later. This research proposed a threshold method of segmentation to determine ROI of the fundus photography automatically. Data to be elaborated were the fundus photography’s of 13 patients, captured using Nonmyd7 camera of Kowa Company Ltd in Dr. M. Djamil Hospital, Padang. The results of this processing could determine ROI automatically. The automatic cropping successfully omits as much as possible the non-medical areas shown as darkbackground, while still maintaining the whole medical areas, comprised the posterior pole of retina captured through the pupil. Thus, this method is  helpful in further image processing of posterior areas. We hope that this research will be useful for researchers.

Abstract

Panoramic X-Ray produces produces the most common oral digital radiographic image that it used in dentistry practice. The image can further improve accuracy compared to analog one. This study aims to establish proximal caries edge on enhancement images so they can be easily recognized. The images were obtained from the Department of Radiology, General Hospital of M. Djamil Padang Indonesia. Total file of images to be tested were 101. Firstly, the images are analyzed by dentists who practiced at Segment Padang Hospital Indonesia. They concluded that there is proximal caries in 30 molar teeth. Furthermore, the images were processed using Matlab software with the following steps, i.e. cropping, enhancement, edge detection, and edge enhancement. The accuracy rate of detection of edge enhancement images being compared with that of dentist analysis was 73.3%. In the edge enhancement images proximal caries edge can be found conclusively in 22 teeth and dubiously in eight teeth. The results of this study convinced that edge enhancement images can be recommended to assist dentists in detecting proximal caries.

Abstract

In the ongoing coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) pandemic, the most vulnerable groups are those with pre-existing health problems and the elderly due to their reduced immune system to prevent infection. Nutrition plays a significant role in maintaining the immune system to prevent pathogen manifestation. This review aimed to identify and discuss the role of nutrients in COVID-19 in developing immunity. Studies included in this review were obtained from articles published in reputable journals accessed from the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website, leading search engine, in a retrospective timeframe from January 1 to May 2, 2020, using specified keywords. The search resulted in seven articles relevant to the objective of the review. They highlighted the role of nutrients, namely the deficiency of essential nutrients that might exacerbate the health status. The consumption of certain nutrients, micronutrient and omega-3 might be tolerated up to the upper level of recommended dietary allowance (RDA) to benefit the health status. This review can assist in providing the prevention and mitigation approach to improve immunity amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The government should expand the continuous delivery of messages regarding the benefit of appropriate nutrients in maintaining health and immune system. Furthermore, the current condition gives the best opportunity to educate the community on a healthy and balanced diet for daily life.

Abstract

Traumatic brain injury is a pathological process of brain tissue that is not degenerative or congenital, but rather due to external mechanical force, which causes physical disorders, cognitive function, and psychosocial. These disorders can be permanent or temporary and accompanied by the loss of or change in level of consciousness. Segmentation techniques for Computed Tomography Scanner (CT scan) of the brain is one of the methods used by the radiologist to detect abnormalities or brain hemorrhage that occurs in the brain.  This paper discusses the extraction area of a brain hemorrhage on each image slice CT scan and 3D reconstruction, making it possible to visualize the 3D shape and calculating the volume of a brain hemorrhage. Extraction of brain hemorrhage area is based on a combination of Otsu algorithm, the algorithm Morphological features and algorithms region. For the reconstruction of a 3D brain hemorrhage area of the bleeding area on a 2D slice is done by using a linear interpolation approach.

Abstract

This study aims to facilitate the identification of proximal caries in the Panoramic Dental X-Ray  image. Twenty-seven X-Ray images of proximal caries were elaborated. The images in digital form were processed using Matlab and Multiple Morphological Gradient. The process produced sharper images and clarifies the edges of the objects in the images. This makes the characteristics of the proximal caries and the caries severity can be identified precisely.
