Abstract

Coverage of visits to mothers of children under five in Indonesia in 2016 reached 80.01%, whereas in 2017 coverage of visits of mothers of toddlers to Posyandu declined to 79.34%. Provinces that were still relatively low in achievement were Gorontalo (57.6%), North Kalimantan (58.6%), South Kalimantan (59.4%), Papua (64.8%) and West Sumatra (76.8%). This research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional design or approach. The purpose of the study was to find out the relationship between maternal motivation and the role of cadres with activeness in participating in the activities of Posyandu toddlers in the work area of the Six Lingkung Health Center in Padang Pariaman District which was carried out in July 2019 with a sample of 62 respondents, a total sampling technique. The statistical test used is chi-square. The results of this study have a relationship between maternal motivation and activeness in participating in the Posyandu for toddlers in the area of the Six Lingkung Health Center in Padang Pariaman District (p value = 0.044). (p value = 0.023). It is hoped that the Puskesmas will remind cadres to increase their role, especially in disseminating information to mothers. Cadres need to create social networks or communication networks that can facilitate the delivery of information to mothers such as creating a special whattsapp group of mothers who have toddlers, so that with this group, cadres can easily convey information to all mothers who live in the Posyandu working area

Abstract

Introduction: Hospital-acquired pressure ulcers (HAPUs) are a significant healthcare issue, leading to physical complications, extended hospital stays, and increased healthcare costs. Preventive measures are crucial for managing this problem. With the growing integration of technology in healthcare, mobile e-book applications and chatbots offer promising tools for improving clinical practice and decision-making. This study evaluates the feasibility of using these technologies in terms of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), focusing on perceived usefulness, ease of use, and intention to use among nurses. Methods: A quantitative research design was employed to assess the perceptions of 30 registered nurses working in a hospital setting. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework guided the measurement of key variables, including perceived usefulness, ease of use, and intention to use. Data were collected through a self-administered online survey and semi-structured interviews. Descriptive statistics and thematic analysis were used to analyze the data. Results: The study revealed positive perceptions of the chatbot and mobile e-book app in terms of their usefulness, ease of use, and intention to use. The mean scores for usefulness, ease of use, and intention to use were 16.55 ± 1.50, 17.32 ± 0.79, and 13.03 ± 1.74, respectively, indicating high feasibility for adoption. Discussion: The findings suggest that mobile e-books and chatbots are well-received by healthcare professionals, with perceived usefulness and ease of use being significant factors for their adoption. These technologies can support clinical decision-making, reduce medical errors, and improve healthcare outcomes. Future developments should focus on integrating these tools into healthcare training programs and enhancing their functionality with real-time updates and interactive features. Abstract

Background: Pressure ulcers, or bedsores, are a global healthcare challenge, impacting patient well-being and placing significant economic burdens on healthcare systems. Despite advances in prevention strategies, hospital-acquired pressure injuries (HAPIs) remain prevalent due to aging populations, chronic conditions, and gaps in healthcare practices. Aims: This study evaluates the validity, reliability, sensitivity, and specificity of the HAPUs E-book app as a digital tool for educating nurses and preventing pressure ulcers. Methods: Using the Content Validity Index (CVI), eight experts (five wound care specialists and three IT experts) assessed the app's content validity. Sensitivity and specificity were calculated from trials involving 30 nurses, while Cronbach's Alpha Coefficient was used to evaluate internal consistency across key components. Results: The app achieved a CVI score of 1.00, indicating strong content validity. Sensitivity was 95.83%, and specificity was 83.33%, demonstrating high diagnostic accuracy. Cronbach's Alpha scores ranged from 0.73 to 0.82, confirming strong internal consistency and reliability. Conclusion: The HAPUs E-book app is a reliable tool for nursing education and pressure ulcer prevention. Its high sensitivity, specificity, and validated content make it suitable for clinical use and continuous professional development. However, further studies with larger populations are needed to generalize findings and assess long-term outcomes. Keywords: Pressure ulcers; Content Validity Index; CVI; mHealth; Validity
